Janica's eyes opened to sunlight flowing through the leaves of trees. Her hair sprawled across the dirt floor. Leaves were caught in her hair from he rough sleep.
Janica blinked at the bright light that hit her eyes. She sat up and picked the leaves from her hair. She glanced down at her wound on her arm. It was no longer black, but rather gray and flaking
She raised an eyebrow at this. Although it was truly odd and a bit scary, Janica knew she didn't have time to worry about it.
She turned towards Aaron. His shaggy black hair fell in his eyes. His hands rested in front of his face. The rest of his body laid quietly in relaxation.
   She reached for his arm and shook him lightly. He blinked several times and glanced up at the beautiful girl. Her hair flowed down her face. Her eyes sparkled in the new morning sun. He barely blushed before turning on his back.
   He rubbed his eyes with the bottom of his palms and sat up with a sigh. He gazed at Janica, "good morning princess" he smirked. She smiled with a slight blush and stood up. "Get your things ready, we need to leave soon" she said with her hand on her hip.
Aaron stood up and began to take care of putting out the fire. Janica then knelt down next to Lavender. Her sweet face laid peacefully on the rough ground. Her hair sprawled across the ground
Janice smiled at her and stroked her shoulder. "Wake up little flower. It's time to go" she whispered in her ear. Lavender groaned and rolled on her back. "Go 'way" she mumbled as she let out a relaxed sigh
Janica shook her harder. "C'mon, we have to go!" She said a bit louder. "Nngh... Fine" she groaned. Lavender sat up with a sleepy face. But she was immediately forced back when her backpack hit her in the face. "Sorry!" Aaron called.
Janica laughed at Lavender. "That'll wake you up" she chuckled. Lavender stood up, and put on the backpack all while holding a ticked face. Janica clapped her hands together, "Somone give me the bandages! I need to cover up" she announced
At that moment. A roll of guaze hit Janica in her nose and made her fall to the ground. "Sorry!" Aaron called again. Lavender began to crack up at Janica. "It's not funny this time!" She yelled. She then bandaged up her wound so the CDC soldiers wouldn't see it.
She slung her backpack on. "Let's go. You ready Aaron?" Janica asked. Aaron smiled at her and gave her a thumbs up. They then walked out of the clearing and back into the forest
Hours later
"UUUGGGHHH!!" Lavender groaned "how much farther?!" She complained. "The same amount of time you asked a minute ago. Ten minutes" Janica said firmly. "Actually more like ten seconds" Aaron said as he stopped in his tracks.
They stood in front of a large and ominous building. It was an old prison. It's gray stones were covered in mildew and miscellaneous fluid stains. Electric wire surrounded the area and guards in hazmat suits stood at every area.
"Leave your supplies here. Hide them in that bush!" Aaron ordered. Everyone threw their backpacks in the bush and made sure no one could see them.
   "So... Do actually have a real plan?" Lavender asked. "Get in, find Seth and Aaron's mom, get out" Janica said quickly. Aaron and Lavender stared at her with faces that said, "are you serious?"
   "Oh if you have a better idea, then speak up!" Janica said noticing their expressions. Suddenly two guards noticed the three bickering. "You three!! Get over here now!" He shouted. The three did not hesitate and came immediately.
   The men searched them thoroughly.one caught glance of Janica's arm. "May I?" The man asked as he gestured to remove the bandages. Before Janica could answer, the man began to unravel the bandages.
   The man studied the mark and knew what had happened. He made a hand gesture another man grabbed Janica's other arm. They saw Janica's fear. "Don't worry. You just need... Further examination" the man said in a monotone voice.
   "You two follow him" the other said pointing at a guard at the gate. Janica and Aaron looked at each other in the eyes. Janica's face was filled with determination. "Just go. I can handle myself" she thought to herself.
   Aaron caught it immediately and turned to the gate and continued forward. "Please. Be careful" he thought to himself. As Aaron walked forward. He looked down at his feet. Suddenly, he saw a glimpse of black on his leg.
   He looked down further and saw the horrid black blister on his knee. As calm as he could he just kept walking. "Just keep walking. It's your imagination" he thought.
   The two other men with Janica, dragged her to the other side of the facility and brought her to a large metal door. The opened it and at that moment, Janica froze in fear.
   In most situations, people are scared of the sharp tools. But what frightened Janica the most was the large and ominous dentist chair. It was covered in blood stains and the room reeked of death and mildew.
   They threw Janica in the chair and a huge surgery light was turned on overhead. They buckled down her wrists, ankles, and stomach.
   "Now stay calm. And don't squirm, you'll make it worse" one of the men said. Sweat dripped down her forehead. "W...what... Exactly are you going to do?!" Janica wimpered nervously. A large syringe filled with a purple liquid entered the light.
   " This'll numb your body" one said. The other then plunged the syringe into her arm. Janica screeched out in pain. They medicine was injected into her body.
   Janica felt all control in her body stop. Her neck gave out and her head fell into the headrest. Her eyes and mouth fell into a monotone expression. "That's odd. They said I'd lose all feeling. I can still feel the buckles and everything else. I just can't move" she thought. "If you're wondering, we thought we'd use the movement anesthesia. We need you awake and not to be fidgety. So this makes things easier" one explained.
   A flash of silver was seen and a needle neared her face. "Help me Aaron" she thought as a tear left her eye and streamed down her face.
