I push open the hospital doors and walk into the parking lot. I take a big breath and sigh. It feels so nice to be outside.

The boys are already in Ashton's car and Luke is leaning on the side of it waiting for me.

"Hey. Are you ready to go?"
"Yep! I'm so glad I got out of that stuffy hell." I say.

He smiles and I lean against to car with him. I lean my head on his shoulder and sigh once more.

"Emeree?"

"Yes?"

"Do you remember the promise I made you?" He pauses. "The promise about always staying by your side?"

"Of course I do. Why do you ask?"

"Well you said that it hurt too much to have your family pass away and lose your boyfriend." He looks down at his feet. "I-I understand it now." He says.

"When Ashton found you passed out in the bathroom I-I nearly lost it. Em, you are a part of my family now. It hurt so bad to see you in the hospital." A tear falls down his face. "I-I really thought I was going to-to lose you."

How did I not think about this?

How did I not see it from their point of view?

"Luke, I-I'm so sorry. I didn't mean for it to go this far." Tears are now streaking my cheeks. "It was just a way to feel again. Honest."

"W-Will you promise me something this time?"

"What is it?"

"Will you always stay by my side too?"

I sigh and hug him.

"I don't ever want to lose you, Emeree. Never."

"I promise."

I look up into his bright blue eyes and they lock with mine. His eyes are slightly puffed up and this makes me want to cry even more.

He looks at my lips and back up to my eyes. I look down at his lips and they look so kissable. He put his lip ring back in too!

I look back into his eyes and he starts to lean in. I look at his lips and before I can stop him, his lips crash into mine.

At first, I'm shocked.

I can't move.

Kiss him back! I thought. You like him too!

I start to kiss back and our lips mold together perfectly. His lips taste so sweet and I can feel his cool lip ring on the side of my mouth.

The kiss is passionate and gentle. He kisses me so gently as if I might fall to pieces if he kisses me any harder.

I love this so much!

I can't do this though.

We are family!

We slowly break apart and I smile. He chuckles and I blush a little.

"Emeree! Are you ready to go?"

I turn and see Michael walking out of the hospital. Hopefully he didn't see Luke and I kiss.

Ching Chong opens the door to our house and we go inside. We all pile into the living room and onto the couch. Ashton, Mikey, Cal, and I sit on the big couch and poor Luke sits in the small arm chair across the room.

I want to sit over there so badly, but I can't.

Nobody can find out we kissed!

I like him. A lot. I just can't.

I can't loose someone as special as him.

I can't loose anyone else!

He looks over at me and smiles. I blush and he motions for me to go over there.

I shake my head and motion for him to come over to me.

"Ash, switch sides with me. I can't see and you're on your phone."

Ashton sighs and switched with Luke.

He walks over and sits next to me. I lean my head against his shoulder and he wraps his arm around me.

Michael puts in Zoolander and makes some popcorn.

This is where I need to be.

This is my family.

I slowly fall asleep in Luke's arms and think about everything.
