010,  war

XANA'S FACE scrunched up at the sound of an unfamiliar voice barking orders towards her father into her ear piece. She shared a look with Neteyam, realising he could hear it aswell. They two siblings arose from the water, spotting a load of skim wings facing the boat.

Xana squinted her eyes slightly, spotting Lo'ak, Tuk and Tsireya. "Shit." Xana mumbled. She contiuned to listen to the interaction between Jake and Quaritch before noticing her father heading towards the boat. Xana immediately went to follow after her father, but Neteyam held her back. "If you go try help him, they will attack." Xana pursed her lips, her nerves running high.

Suddenly, Payakan came out of the water, landing onto the boat. Several Avatars began shooting at the tulkun but it was no use as he went back into the water. The Metkayina took their chance as they sped forward, beginning to fight. Neteyam and Xana took the chance, the siblings jumping onto the boat. Neteyam cut the restraint's off of the trio, the two girls running over to Xana. "Get them out of here and stay safe." Neteyam shouted over to Xana, who nodded in response.

The trio wasted no time in swimming away but stopped at the sound of screaming. Xana looked over her shoulder, spotting Kiri being dropped onto the boat.

"Shit!" Xana shouted, the girl swimming abck towards the ship. "Xana, no!" Tsireya swan after the girl. "Sully's stick together!" Tuk shouted. They silently climbed onto the boat, looking for Kiri. "Kiri!" Tuk whispered, spotting her older sister.

Xana and Tsireya climbed over the railing, Xana pulling out her knife to cut the restraints. Suddenly, Quaritch grabbed Xana and Tuk, pulling the girls back over. "Get off of me, pervert!" Xana shouted, watching as Quaritch pushed Tsireya into the water.

"We can still get this done." Quaritch spoke towards the two other Avatars as he strapped Xana's arms to the rails. "Your all pussi—" Suddenly, one of the Avatar's pulled out their gun, shooting Xana in the stomach. It wasn't enough to kill her immediately, but if she bled out, she wouldn't have much longer.

Xana's eyes widened, the girl immediately putting pressure on the wound. Even Quaritch was shocked by the actions of his fellow solider, but he kept a cool face.

Almost an hour went by and Xana was loosing all hope. Her body was on the verge of shutting down. "Keep your eyes open, Xan." Kiri shouted, noticing her sisters head repeatedly drooping. Everything around her sounded like white noise as she opened her eyes, noticing the ship was now on fire. From the distance, she noticed her parents. The girl feeling a little more relieved.

Suddenly, a body was thrown beside Quaritch, fear was clear in the man's eyes as he noticed the familiar arrow. "That's right, there coming for you." Kiri spoke as Xana snorted. Quaritch hissed, grabbing Xana by the hair as he cut her restraints. She tried to fight back, but her body was too weak. He held her upright, holding a knife to her throat as he dragged her away. "Xana no!" Tuk shouted after her sister.

Quaritch and Xana stood behind a pillar for a few moments, the girl still trying to pull away. Quaritch smirked as he heard Jake coming closer, the man wasting no time as he turned around, revealing Xana to Jake, Tuk and Kiri. Jake's eyes widened at the state of his daughter. He had already lost one of his sons, he didn't want to loose one of his daughters aswell.

"Running out of time here, corporal. You already lost one kid today, you really wanna loose another?" Xana's stomach dropped. Another kid? Did Lo'ak die? Neteyam?

"Do not test me!" Quaritch shouted as Jake pounced forward. "Just kill him dad, even if it means I die, fucking kill him!" Xana used all her strength as she shouted. Quaritch dug his knife deeper into her neck as she hissed in pain.

"Put your weapons down." Quaritch ordered. Xana weakly shook her head at her dad but he placed them down. "Kick them away." Quaritch contiuned as Jake kicked the knives away. Quaritch pulled a pair of restraints out, throwing them towards Jake. "Cuff yourself."

Suddenly, Spider appeared. "No, no, don't hurt her, okay? Don't." Quaritch held his arm out, "Stop there! Don't move, not a step" Spider halted, his eyes flickering down to the bullet wound on Xana's stomach, blood still flowing out of it.

"Hand cuffs on, now!" Quaritch turned his attention back to Jake, who grabbed the handcuffs. "You son of a bitch." Jake hissed, slapping one of the cuffs onto his arm.

"Please, don't hurt her." Spider begged. Suddenly, Neytiri pounced behind Spider, holding her knife to the boys neck. The woman noticed the bullet wound on her daughter immediately, her heart shattering even more "Release, or I cut." Neytiri seethed. "What, you think I care about some kid? He's not mine. We're not even the same species."

"Please, don't— don't hurt her. Please, just let her go. Please! Listen to me! Let her go." Spider contiuned to beg. "A son for a son." Neytiri voiced as she slit Spiders stomach. The boy screamed in pain. "I cut." Neytiri's eyes remained on Quaritch, who seemed to be in a predicament. But time was ticking and so was Neytiri's patience. She held the knife up, looking at Spider. "No!" Quaritch shouted, removing the knife away from Xana's head but still keeping a firm grip on her hair. Neytiri looked back over to the Avatar, giving him a knowing look.

Xana immediately fell to the floor, gripping her stomach. Kiri hurried over to her sister, dragging her away from Quaritch. Xana's vision began turning black, the surrounding sounds becoming nothing but murmurs as she faded away.
