002, explore
"XANA, ARE you coming?" Lo'ak asked his twin, who was currently sat in their marui, playing with Tuk."Where to?"
"To explore." Xana hummed in reply as she went to follow after her brother, but they didn't get far as Tuk spoke up."Can I come?" Xana sighed before turning back to the girl, beckoning for her to follow. "Hey guys, would you like to join us?" Tsireya asked as Xana, Lo'ak and Tuk exited the marui with Neteyam and Kiri already stood with Aonung, Tsireya and Roxto. "Sure." Lo'ak replied, the group jumping into the water.
Xana went into awe at the beauty of the water, a smile forming on her face. The sea was as beautiful as the forest, if not more. Tsireya attempted to tell the siblings to follow after her in sign but the girl forgot they didn't understand sign. She soon realised and instead simply beckoned for the siblings to follow after them, but with their breath not being adjusted enough to the water, they was loosing breath.
Every 20 seconds, they had to go up above the water, making Aonung annoyed. "What's wrong with them?" Aonung signed to his bestfriend and sister.
"Those guys are bad divers." Rotxo added on as Tsireya frowned. "Stop, there learning." She signed. Aonung rolled his eyes but didn't sign anything else as they went to the arose from the water.
"Are you alright?" Tsireya asked as Tuk spoke up, "Your to fast, wait for us." The younger girl was already tired, wiping her to rid the water that had gotten into them. "Just breath, breath." Tsireya softly spoke as Rotxo and Aonung appeared beside Tsireya.
"You are not good divers. You may be good at swinging through trees but—" Aonung began, but he didn't get far with his rude words as Tsireya slapped him round the head. Xana rolled her eyes at the boy, she was sick of being around him already. "Come on bro, we don't speak this finger language. We don't know what you guys are saying." Neteyam spoke, doing a terrible attempt at signing.
"I will teach you." Xana smiled at Tsireya, at least one of them liked them. "Where's Kiri?" Rotxo asked as they looked around. "I'll go look for her." Xana spoke, diving back into the water as she quickly found her sister, beckoning the girl to follow her.
Xana swam back to where the group was with Kiri close behind her as they all made their way to the shore. "Are you ready to learn how to ride?" Tsireya asked the two girls as they walked over to where the group was. Xana simply hummed in reply walking into the shallow water. Aonung began calling for ilu's as 4 swam around him. "These are ilu, if you want to live here, you have to ride." Aonung spoke.
Lo'ak was quick to make his way over to Tsireya as Kiri and Neteyam went over to Rotxo. Xana groaned in annoyance as Aonung walked over to her with an ilu, his minions following close behind. Xana climbed onto the ilu as she looked at Aonung waiting for directions. He held the antenna in her direction as she pulled her braid around, carefully making the bond.
"Feel her breath, feel her strength. Feel her." Aonung slowly spoke as the girl stroked the ilu, closing her eyes in content. Aonung examined the girl in awe at the few moments she hadn't had her eyes open. He was truly astonished by her. Her hairstyle was in two half braids with her curls reaching down to her tail. Her eyes were yellow, but everytime he looked at them he felt as though he could see so much more. Xana opened her eyes back up, taking a deep breath as she held on tightly to the ilu.
"Hold on." One of Aonungs friends shouted, a laugh escaping his mouth but he soon slammed it back shut as Xana flipped him off before commanding the ilu to go forward.
At first, the ilu was too quick, almost throwing Xana off, but as she thought calm in her head — the ilu soon calmed down. Xana slowly circled back round to where Aonung and his friends were stood in shock. Xana stared at Aonung, waiting for his input. His expression turned sour again before he spoke, "You did good. But it wasn't very controlled, try again." Xana rolled her eyes but set off again, the ilu now fully under her control. The girl decided to piss Aonung off, so she circled around his friends as quick as she could before speeding off.
"Ah! What the heck is wrong with that girl?!" Ta'muk exclaimed, glaring at Xana who was now above water again, swimming around calmly on the ilu. Aonung couldn't help but grin, calling an ilu for himself and speeding after her. He slowed down beside the girl, watching as she stroked the ilu.
"You know, you learnt quicker than I did." Aonung admitted as Xana smirked at him.
"I've always been a good learner." She responded, noticing there was not any disgust in Aonung's eyes anymore but instead a look she couldn't understand. Xana averted her eyes back to the ilu, who kept twitching her head making the girl laugh.
Aonung analysed the girl, something he caught himself doing a lot in the short time she had been here. He liked the way her nose twitched ever so slightly when she smiled, he liked the sound of her laugh, he liked the way her eyes looked as if there was millions of things to learn and explore in them, he liked her attitude — how she would always bite back no matter the person.
But he would never tell his friends any of this. Never.
"Careful Aonung, you don't want to be around this five fingered freak to long." Ta'muk spoke as him and a few others halted beside Aonung, laughing at the girl. A bored look formed on Xana's face, hiding the hurt she felt from the comment as she put both her middle fingers up at the boy just like she did a few moments before.
She commanded the ilu in her head to do a harsh turned around before heading back to shore. Shouts of annoyance left the group of boys as she had splashed them in the face. "Aw, don't cry." Another one of Aonung's friends shouted after the girl as Aonung hissed at them, directing his ilu to the shore where the girl was quickly walking away.
Aonung didn't know why he reacted like that to his friends, he was just as bad as them most times if not worse. Aonung stood still for a few seconds, deciding wether to go and apologise to the girl on behalf of his friends, but he opted against it and instead walked over to his sister who was already walking in his direction.
"What did you say to her?" Tsireya asked, referring to Xana. "Nothing, why?" Aonung played it off, showing no emotion. "She looked as though she was going to cry." Aonung's expression dropped ever so slightly, but his sister didn't notice.
Or so he thought.
"Well I don't know what happened." He responded, walking away as he couldn't help but look in the direction she had went, watching her descending body.
