File Seven
Friendly advice, if you're a hybrid and you're about to start training, be sure to not trip over your own shoes. I was brought over to a rack of weapons, and sort of left to figure this part out myself. There were swords, daggers, hammers, bow and arrow, throwing knives, ect. I tried holding each thing until I finally decided on a set of twin swords. All of the weapons we're made of some kind of steel, but it was brighter, practically glowing. "How does it feel?" Matt asked, noticing the weapons I picked up. "Good. Not too heavy, not too light.. What is this made of?" I asked. "Not sure. We don't have a name for it, but the metal is infused with sunlight so it can kill shadows as well as anything else you choose too stab. Not that I recommend stabbing people." With that, we started training. Just as I was getting the hang of it, I tripped over my shoe laces. I rolled onto my back and looked up see Matt holding back a laugh. The fifteen year old finally grabbed my hand, pulling me up as I glared. "Well I didn't think you'd fall on your first day. I have to say, I had more faith in you." Matt said, smiling. "Shut up, let's just keep going." I groaned.
I had been in The Pack for about three weeks now. I'd met a few people, and gotten closer to the people in my cabin. As it turns out, when you enter The Pack, your eyes change color! That explains why everyone in emerald cabin had green eyes, and Nick had opal colored eyes. I started wearing different clothes, always carrying my swords around, and eventually bought a pack of Gem Hunt cards from someone in sapphire cabin. I felt happy here. Then, something happened.. I had just finished up a finally round of Gem Hunt with Jake. I switched his white diamond for a salt crystal when he wasn't paying attention, causing me to win for the first time. "Hey! You cheated!" He exclaimed quietly, trying to keep Amy from waking up. She was sleeping soundly on her bed. "Don't hate the player, hate the game." I said, zipping and unzipping my camouflage jacket. "I totally would have won if you didn't tale mt white diamond! Can I have it back now?" I sighed and handed the silver fox the card I had in my pocket. I was about to stand up, when the door burst open. Someone from the ruby cabin, I could tell from the eyes. "You guys might wanna see this. Wake the others up!" He said, gesturing for us to follow. Jake and I shared a confused look. We split up, me waking Amy and him waking Ruth and Matt. It sounds unfair, but Jake is terrified of getting his face clawed off. "What's going on..?" Ruth muttered, sitting up. "Don't know, just come on!" I shouted.
