It was my first day at Northwood High School. I had so many nerves going through my body right now. I was sitting on the passenger seat in my dads car and we were on are way to Northwood High School.

"Are you excited to join this school Mia?" Dad asked my in a calm voice

"I'm not to happy about it dad" Dad looks at me and gives me a small smile

"I'm sorry Mia, You know why we had to move" He says

"Yeah I guess" I sigh

All of sudden I looked up and we were parked infront of Northwood High. I look up and see a building that is 20 times bigger than my old school. I got out of the car and quickly waved at dad and he replied by saying have a good day". I smile back at him and walk up the stairs. I could see many people getting reunited with there friends. As soon as I walk in there was a huge crowd around this boy who had hazel brown eyes. Someone could keep staring at him and not even get bored. He had such a cute face. Everyone started shouting "CAMERON.....CAMERON" so loud that the headteacher had to come out of her office and make them go to class.

"Everyone go back to class now and no more of this again... Am I clear?" She shouts

"OKAYYY" Everyone replies and walks off

The Headteacher seemed nice from her face. She had blonde hair tied up with a black hairband. Her lips had Rosy pink lipstick on which actually suited her. She started walking in my direction.

"Hello... are you new?" She asks me in a polite voice

"Yes.. My names Mia Swan" I reply

"Ohh Mia, yes I was informed that a new student was joining... How are you?" She asks me

"I'm fine... Nervous" I reply fidgeting with my hands

"Don't worry.. everyones nice in Northwood" She replies trying to assure me

"Come with me, I will take you to your class" She hands me my timetable

"Okay" I start walking with her

I looked at my timetable and I see science first. I was so nervous that I couldn't even explain it with words. I felt like being invisible so no one could see me.

"Oh yeah I forgot to introduce myself, my names Miss Smith" She says smiling at me

"Oh okay" I reply

She stops me infront of a door where it said LAB 2.

"Is this my science class" I ask her with a unsure voice

"Yes let me introduce you" She replied

"U-hh no Miss Smith that is not nee-" I try telling her that I have the worst stage fright but opened the door.

"Class we have a new student" Everyone starts staring at me

"Her names Mia Swan and she recently moved from L.A." She says looking at me

I started looking down trying not to see everyones eyes at me.

"Hello Mia, My names Miss Wilson and I'm your science teacher" She says looking at me

"Hi" I reply softly

All of a sudden a boy shouts out " Miss she can sit next to me, I'll make her comfy" Everyone started giggling. I could feel my body shaking

"Sit down Jack, no one would like sitting next to you" She shouts at him and everyone starts laughing at him.

"Mia sit next to Kate" She says whilst pointing at her

"Okay" I reply

As soon I was going to sit down I see the same boy sitting behind me that I couldn't stop looking at. His eyes were directly on me. I couldn't resist not looking at him.

"Hi Mia, my names Kate" Kate smiles

"Hey" I reply passing back a smile

"So how come you moved schools" She asks with interest

"Um.... My dad... He got a promotion in L.A." I replied with relief

"Oh thats great, I'll help you around..... Oh yeah your in all of lessons" She smiles looking at me timetable

"thanks" I reply

"So-" She gets interrupted by the boy behind us

"Kate, I see your making new friends" He laughs

"Cameron shut up" She laughs with him

"Hey, My names Oinky" He tells me and starts laughing

"Shut up Cameron... Mia, he's Cameron" She laughs and replies

"umm you forgot Dallas" He replies putting one of his shoe on the table and leaning back on the chair

"Can you not shut up" Kate tells him whilst giggling

I didn't know what to say. Cameron seemed loud and confident in everything. I felt like talking to him but he seemed different. Why would he want to talk to a girl whose shy anyway? I question myself and get on with the work.

After class finished...

"We have break now" Kate tells me

"Oh okay" I reply whilst putting my pencil case in my bag.

"Kate, Come here" a boy shouts across the class

"I'll be right back" she says to me

I could see Cameron sitting on the table with that boy. Kate came back smiling at me in a awkward way.

"Um.. Mia, can you come with me... Brad needs help with something" She asks me

"Oh is that Brad and yeah sure lets go" I smile at her

"Yeah he's Camerons best friend.. But don't worry he's nice" She assures me

Me and kate walk over to Brad and Cameron and start walking. Kate gets busy talking to Brad. All of a sudden Cameron comes next to me and starts talking. 

"How come you moved here?" He asks

"Umm.. My dad got promoted and yeah.." I reply looking down and following Kate

"So you got any brothers or sisters" He asks making me confused as to why he's interested 

"Umm... yeah I have one brother, his names Alex" I reply 

All of a sudden a silence comes between us. We keep kept on walking but had nothing to talk about. After 5 minutes, Brad breaks the silence. 

"Hey Mia, I didn't get a chance to introduce myself" He says in a polite way

"Hey" I reply smiling

"So how do you like Northwood" He asks

"its nice" I reply

"So if you need any help me, you can come to me and Kate" He replies, giving a good impression of him

"MATE.... why would she go to you... when she has me" Cameron says sarcastically

"Ummmm... Cameron I think your annoying Mia" Kate tells him

He stares at my face giving me a funny look which instantly makes me giggle. 

"Awwwww Mia, you have such a cute laugh" Kate tells me 

"I do notttt" I reply walking next to her
