Southie had to wear glasses after the Civil War due to poor eyesight. And hated it. Since ya know that stereotype of all people with glasses is smart.

New York constantly denies crying over S.C and Georgia's conditions when they returned north. Truth be told the state (despite what he says) is very attached to the OG 13. If they were in any other state the reaction probably would have been different.

Occasionally Ohio would sneak Alabama gifts when the government twins took him out of the room for questioning. Mostly chocolate or Alcohol. Sometimes a pack or two of Cigarettes.

Alabama always assumed Indiana got him the presents and got really happy about it.
