"Where's dad?" DC asked, looking up at Kentucky confused.

"He's dead." Kentucky said, watching the children's faces turn to sadness. The pair started crying into Kentucky, he pulled them close to him.

"Wh-what h-happened to d-dad?" IDC asked, her voice trembling.

"A fire swept through the city, and he was attacked by someone." Kentucky said, explaining what happened.

"Wh-who attacked h-him?" DC asked, crying into Kentucky's side.

"A bad man, a very bad man." Tucky said, not wanting to say who it actually was.

"Will h-he hurt us?" DC asked, his voice grew in worry.

"No, you'll be safe here, and I'll protect you." Tucky said, reassuring the kids. He hugged them tighter, the twins hugged back.

"Maybe w-we can g-go to Ohio's, he s-strong he'll protect us." IDC chimed in, a weak smile on her face.

"I'm sorry but that won't be possible, besides you'll be safe here." Kentucky responded, smiling down at the kids. Ohio was the last person he wanted the kids to be with.
