A panicked life 3

New York watched the northeast states with intent. He studied every move, every word. His face was plastered with a cold stare as he looked at the states. He could hear them arguing, and cussing, he didn't care though. He saw Maine sit next to him, looking over at the other state.

"How are you?" He asked, trying to sound genuine.

"Not good." Maine replied.

"I feel like every northeast state hates each other. They all argue and get mad at each other, I just hope everyone is ok." Maine continued, turning to face New York.

"I see." New York mumbled, nodding his head slightly.

Maine smiled weakly before deciding to grab something. New York took into account the Maine was worried, he knew every time the states where in a vulnerable position, using that to his advantage. He continued to watch the others, making sure know one knew. The only two that seemed to be doing good where Rhode Island, and New Jersey. He suspected it was because they held each other in their arms, he didn't know for sure. Out of all the states he didn't think those two would be happy, he didn't care though, he never cared.

He went out into the living room, seeing some states already there. He didn't acknowledge them, instead listening to what they where saying. After listening for awhile he soon stopped after he figured out it wasn't important. He sat on the couch and turned on the TV, flipping through different shows to find something good. He could some states talking upstairs, he tried to listen but their voices where muffled. He decided against investigating, choosing to watch some kind of documentary. He decided that he would investigate if he still heard them.

He watched the TV, trying his best to stop feeling bored. He listened every once in awhile for the voices, sometimes they where there, sometimes not. He decided the documentary was to boring, so he would listen to what ever those states where talking about.

He headed upstairs, following the sound. He neared Indiana's room before stopping, and listening closely. He could hear Indiana crying faintly on the other side of the door, he just hoped he would be able to learn why. He made sure to act casual just incase any state saw what he was doing. All he did was stand there and listen closely, waiting for something to spill.

Honestly probably just gonna make this a book. Sorry that these chapters are short.
