Fourteen.

After you calmed yourself down, you walked through the streets of Ikebukuro, processing everything Saki told you about Masaomi and her before you and him met. You thought you made the right decision earlier go give him and her a week to repair their relationship before making the move on Masaomi once she gets discharged out of the hospital.

As you were deep in thought, your phone vibrated, signaling that you have a call from someone. Who would call you at this late at night? Probably your parents, since the live in (home country) and the time zones are different. But, don't they have a guide on their phones that tell them what time it is in Ikebukuro? It must be an emergency then.

You pulled out your phone to see a incoming call from someone. But, the weird part about the call is that the caller ID read "Blocked". Who would call you even though they were blocked? Maybe it was one of those automative ads that make random calls to people, advertising their stuff?

But, you definitely could use a distraction from earlier. You pressed the green button and held your phone by your ear. "Hello?" You greeted the caller.

"Oh, hello! Are you (L/n) (Y/n)-san?" The caller asked you.

You weren't sure if you should say yes or not, since they were a blocked number and not on your list of people who's IDs would show up if they called you. But, you decided to be honest here. "Yes, I am," you replied.

"Are you a friend of Masaomi's?"

"Yes."

"And part of of the Dollars?"

You stopped suddenly in your tracks. Now you weren't sure if you should be honest, because of all the Dollar and Yellow Scarves attacks occurring all over Ikebukuro. "Ha ha!" The caller laughed, snapping your attention back go them. "You don't have to lie. I know you are part of them."

Maybe they are a friend of Masaomi's and can't reach him, so they called me and they are making sure it's me, you thought.

"Is there something you need?" You asked the caller.

"I need you to answer a couple questions." They replied.

"Okay then. What do you like to know?"

"Do you know if the Headless Rider and the Slasher are part of the gang?"

"I'm afraid the Headless Rider is an urban legend and would have no interest in joining the Dollars. The Slasher is some crazy person stabbing innocents with a knife and their attacks stopped a while ago."

"Really? Well, that's peculiar, because one night, we saw you riding the black bike at...approximately 11:47 in the night to your apartment."

That got you dead on your tracks. You stopped, pupils dilating, as you recalled the time you and Anri were nearly attacked by the Slasher and the Headless Rider, Kyohei and his gang, and Heiwajima Shizuo had to intervene and save you. The Headless Rider gave you a ride home for extra precaution. You could understand if someone saw you riding home on the Headless Rider that night and called you about it, but the time seemed to be too specific than someone witnessing the event, and they did also want know the reason why you were with them.

"Also, we saw who was suspected to be the Slashed entering and leaving your home last rainy Monday at 10:16 and 10:19."

Last rainy Monday...who was in your apartment last Monday? Wait...Anri was! She was over at your house catch up on her missing assignments, but left to run an errand. When she came back, she looked like she'd saw a ghost and left in a rush. Were they...accusing Anri of being responsible for all the stabbings?

You were understanding and had lots of patience, but that crossed the line. "Are you accusing my friend of being the Slasher?" You asked, your eyes shifting to your phone by your ear in anticipation.

"If it's true, then yes," they replied.

You were fuming at your phone. "Listen, is this a prank call?" You snapped at your phone. "Because I can understand if you're a fan of the Headless Rider and called me up to ask why I was with them, but it's not funny to accuse my friend of being responsible for the stabbings all over Ikebukuro, which is a serious thing. You are wasting my time. If you have something important to tell me, you have five seconds to tell me before I hang up and permanently block your number."

The caller chuckled darkly. "In fact, I do have something else important to tell you. You see, Masaomi hasn't been...active with us lately, and it's been driving us to wits end. So, we figured, 'if we hurt one of his friends and send them to the hospital, he will have no choice but to come back to us and be a proper leader to protect them'. So..."

Just as you were processing what he said, a male young adult with dirty blonde hair and sunken eyes on his phone appeared next to you. A yellow bandana was tied around his neck. "Would you mind being our pawn and going to sleep for a while?" He asked. You perfectly heard his voice from the other side and over the phone.

Your eyes widened, the pieces falling into place. Before you could jump away, he leaned sideways towards you to look as if he was losing balance, and you felt a cold and sharp pain in your side as he did so.

You choked and sputtered with pain as the young male walked ahead. You could feel warm blood pouring from your side where he stabbed you. You dropped your phone and it skidded away as you collapsed onto the ground. People who were walking pass you backed away as you collapsed. You could feel your blood seeping through your clothes. People started screaming at the sight of crimson-colored puddle made of your blood pooling around your body.

"Oh my god, what happened to (her/him/them)?!"

"Somebody phone an ambulance! A student just got stabbed!!!"

"Hey, can you get up?!"

You reached out for your phone and the male's voice could be hear again. Only, he was laughing hysterically. "Oh, before I forget, I'm Horada, and I'm with the Yellow Scarves. Your friend Masaomi is our leader. Thanks for being our puppet."

Why you... You cursed in your head as your vision grew hazy and you collapsed, hand outstretched as you were reaching for your phone.
