March 22nd.

Jessica is currently 38 weeks pregnant.
Today everyone is going over to her parents' house for her baby shower.
Jessica didn't want one since she's already had so many, but since this is only Danny's second time, she decided to let her family go on with their plans.

"I no going to the party!" Alessia sits down and crosses her arms.

"I gonna be the baby!" She looks at her mother and pouts.

"Honey, you'll always be our baby!"

"It's not a party, Lessi." Dylan says.

"Yeah it a Partyyyyy!" Alessia shouts.

"Hey, stop shouting!" Jessica says earning a mean look from her two year old.

"No it's not.  We're going to bathe mommy."

"What?" Jessica laughs.

"It's a shower." Dylan shrugs.

"Honey.." Jessica chuckles.
"Baby boy, it's called a baby shower but.. it's a party for the baby."

"But then why do we have to bathe you?"

"You don't!  It's a party, there will be food, presents, games, and cake!"

"Oh!  I like that a lot more than giving you a bubble bath, momma."

Jessica laughs. "Oh I love you, Dylan!"

"I love you too, Mommy!"

"I not going!" Alessia says.

"Oh like you have a choice, stink butt!"

Soon after everyone arrived, they all sat down to enjoy their meal.
Afterwards, the kids played with their cousins.  All of them but Alessia.
She was too busy being a pain in the butt.

"Oh my goodness!  Where is your daddy? He needs to take you before I completely lose it."

"Alessia, what's the matter? Are you being cranky today?" Ann asks.

"MY party!" She stomps her tiny feet.

"She's very jealous of the baby.  I told her there's no reason for that because I love her and she'll always be my baby!
..But she's not buying it.  She's gotten to the point where she's a little mean to the baby."

"Alessia!" Ann gasps.
"Are you mean to the baby?"

"Yep!"

"She has no shame." Jessica laughs.

"Aw Alessia, that's not nice."

Alessia gives her aunt a look before turning around and pushing her hands into Jessica's belly.

"Stop it right now!" Jessica slightly raises her voice.

Alessia looks at Jessica then smacks her hand on her on the stomach.

"Oh that's it, little girl. Daniel!
Addy, will you call Danny and tell him to come get his child, please?"

Addelyn giggled. "Sure."

"You can't do that, Alessia, you'll hurt the baby."

"Goot!"

"No, not Good! That's not nice."

"What's going on in here?" Danny walks over.

"Dada, mama be mean to me!" Alessia pouts.

"Aw my baby girl!" Danny pouts.
"What happened?"

"She's being so bad, Daniel."

"No I not, daddy! I jus a pwincess!"

"Aw, yes you are!" Danny smiles and picks her up.

"Yeah am, daddy!" She giggles cutely.

Jessica nods her head and rolls her eyes.

"Now Lessi, I love you and you're my princess, but.."

"Buh wha, dada?" She lifts her hands.

"You need to say sorry to mommy and brother."

"No tanks!" She nods.

"Alessia."

"No want to!"

"Alessia Francesca."

"Otaaaay, Otay!
..Sowy, mommy! I lub yew!"

"I love you too, baby. You just have to be nice, okay?"

"Otay.."

"Good girl! Now say sorry to Oliver." Danny says.

"No way!"

"Alessia!"

"Put down, daddy!" Alessia kicks her legs and arches her back.

"Ahhhhh!" She takes off running and screaming.

Jessica sighs and nods her head.
"I don't know how that one turned out so wild.  She takes after you." Jessica looks up to Danny.

"Oh right!" He scoffs.

The rest of the shower went great.
Alessia didn't do well seeing all of the gifts the baby received, but other than that, everything was perfect.

One week later.
1:45 am.

Danny rolled over in his sleep and extended his arm to the side.  When he didn't feel Jessica he opened his eyes.

"Jess?  You in the bathroom?
..Jess?"

When she didn't respond he stood up and walked out to the hall.  He thought she might have gotten up with one of the littles.

"Hey!" He said when he saw her pacing the hallway.

"You okay?  What are you doing?"

"I've been walking back and forth for the past forty minutes.  My contractions are coming every five minutes."

"WHAT?!"

"Will you be quiet?!  You're going to wake the kids!"

"We have to go, you're having the baby!"

"Daniel, I've been out here pacing quietly, and you come out and wake the whole damn family!  Go to the room, go back to sleep, and I'll wake you when it's time."

"What about the kids?"

"I've called my sister and she's on standby to come watch them. Just go rest because you'll need your energy."

"You are incredible!"

"Thanks." Jessica sighs.

"Well I can't go to sleep now.  I'm gonna stay up with you."

"Okay but please don't touch me."

"I promise!"

Jessica chuckles softly.
"You know what, why don't you go get ready?  Take a shower, get dressed and get the bags."

"I don't want to leave you!"

"I'm fine, I promise.  Just please go get ready." Jessica says as her breathing changes.

Danny quickly ran to her side as Jessica closed her eyes and breathed deeply.

...

"Better?"

"Quiet!"

"Sorry!" Danny whispers.

Jessica scrunched her face then let out a moan.  The pain was intensifying.

"Oh okay, this is bad.  Yeah, hurry up and get ready, I want to get there and I want an epidural!"

"Okay, wanna get in with me?"

"Now is not the time for sex, Daniel!"

"No!  No, just to save time and so I can help you!"

"Oh.. okay yeah, sure."

"Alright here, let me help you." Danny takes her hand and leads her to the bathroom.

Danny helps Jessica strip down.
He then steps in and takes her hand.
Jessica looks at him with tears in her eyes.

"What's wrong?  You okay?" He asks.

Jessica nods her head.
"We're gonna have a baby boy soon."

"I know!  Little Oli is coming, babe." Danny smiles.

"I'm so nervous!  Having a baby is hard, Danny." Jessica says, her voice cracking.

"Aw hun, you can do it!  You're incredibly strong..
Plus, you've down it a couple times before." Danny smiles.

Jessica smiles and takes his hand.
Danny wipes her tears and kisses the tip of her nose.

"I love you, pretty girl."

"I love you too.
..Just so you know, this is the last time I'm doing this."

Danny chuckles. "No problem.  Baby Oliver is going to complete our little family.  I'm totally fine with that."

"Me too.." Jessica looks into Danny's eyes with a soft smile.
