Rough day

The week went on and the conversation Jessica had with Sarah never left her mind. She was worried sick. Luckily she still had her other three kids there as a distraction.

"Mommy! Mommy!" Alessia ran her mother, pulling her from her thoughts.

"What, baby?"

"Daddy twy to make me use da potty!"

Jessica laughed. "Alessia, You have to be potty trained before the baby comes, silly!"

"No I don't!"

"Yes you do! You're gonna be a big sister! Big sisters use the potty."

"No! I no want to!"

"Lessi! You need to give your baby brother your diapers. Wouldn't that be so sweet of you?"

"No! They mine!" Alessia makes a face before walking closer to Jessica who sat on the couch.

"No baby!" She slaps her hand on Jessica's stomach.

"Alessia, no ma'am! That's not nice."

"I da baby!" She pouts.

Jessica picks her up to comfort her. "You'll always be my baby, princess!"

"No! Let go!" Alessia arches her back.

"Alessia, Stop it."

"I no like da baby! I no like da baby!" She kicks.

"Ow!" Jessica winces.

"Hey! Alessia, what are you doing?" Danny walks over and takes her from Jessica.

"She kicked me in the stomach." Jessica sighs and softly rubs her hand back and forth over her side.

"Alessia, that's not nice! You have to be gentle with the baby."

"NO!" She kicks her legs and sobs.

"She doesn't like the baby." Jessica cries. "What are we gonna do?"

Danny sits beside Jessica and wraps one arm around her. "Honey, she'll be fine once the baby comes, she just doesn't understand right now."

"She doesn't like him and she's jealous! I feel so bad for both!"

"Baby girl, she's a stubborn toddler. She just likes throwing tantrums."

"I feel bad that she's unhappy."

"Jessica, she's unhappy when we don't let her throw her food on the floor. She's okay."

Jessica wipes her cheeks. "I know.. I hate this. I hate crying all the time!"

"Honey, you're making a baby! You're allowed to cry." Danny chuckles.

Jessica sniffles then breaks down once again. Danny now has two screaming girls in his arms.

"Today's just a rough day, isn't it?" He chuckles and kisses both of their heads.

The day Sarah was supposed to drop Dylan off with Jessica, she sent her a text telling her to meet her at a nearby cafe.

When Jessica walked in she was surprised to see Lily.

"Oh!  Hello, Lily.  I wasn't expecting you today."

"Hello, Jessica." Lily said without expression.

"Mommy!  Mommy!" Dylan said with excitement.

"Hi Dilly!  I missed you!"

"I missed you too, mommy!  See the baby?" He tugs on Jessica's loose fitting shirt.

"Not now, honey." Jessica takes his little hands in hers.

"Have a seat." Sarah says.

Jessica sits down and clears her throat.  Her stomach was in knots.

"So.. What's is it?" She asks.

Sarah takes a deep breath. "I'm not going to take him away from you."

"Oh thank God!" Jessica lets out a deep breath.

"I just need you to make it clear who are his parents and who is not."

"Sarah, I never told him to call Danny that.  He asked me who his father was, and I told him he didn't have one.  He said he wanted Danny to be his father, but even then I didn't tell him to do it.  He just did!  Besides, Danny's the one that's there when you're gone weeks at a time!"

"Then you wouldn't have a problem with him calling me mom?" Lily asks.

Jessica gives her a look at that could kill.
"Well hello, Lily.  Welcome to the conversation." She then fakes a smile.

"Answer the question, Jessica.  Would you or would you not be upset if he called me mom?"

"I don't see where this involves you, Lilian."

"Oh it Does involve me!"

Just then, Dylan spoke. "I'm NOT calling you mommy!  You're not my mommy!  I no even like you!"

Jessica let out a tiny chuckle as she placed his hand on his arm and quietly shushed him.

"I don't like her, mommy!" He looks at Jessica and nods.

"Shh, shh.  It's okay, baby."

Jessica then looks at Lily with a smile.
"I don't think I'm the one with the problem."

Lily scoffs and rolls her eyes.

"Now, if you excuse us.  We have to meet daddy and the rest of the family at Zio's.  Grandma and Grandpa Huston are in town!"

"Yay!" Dylan cheers, lifting his arms.

Jessica picks him up, kisses his cheek, then stands him up on the ground and takes his hand.

"I'll see you ladies later."

Jessica leaves with Dylan and Sarah huffs.
"Daddy and grandma and grandpa!  She makes me sick!"

"I told you to just fight for custody, Sar." Lily says.

"No.. I can't do that to her.  She may be horrible but.. she's a good mommy.  He loves her, so I can't." Sarah shakes her head.

"Whatever." Lily rolls her eyes.

December 14th.
24 weeks pregnant.

"Mom! Danny! Sit!" Addelyn says sternly.

"Excuse me, little miss?" Jessica chuckles.

"You heard me. Sit!"

"Addelyn Joy!  What's with you today?"

"Nothing!  I'm making a Christmas decoration and I wrote here, Danny, Mommy, Nathaniel, Addelyn, Dylan, Alessia.. And Look!  No Name!" Addelyn points to the paper.

Jessica laughs. "Well Danny and I have gone back and forth on that for weeks now!"

"But we keep going back to one name.. I think that should be it, don't you think, mommy?" Danny asks.

Jessica smiles. "..Yeah.. Yeah, I think that's it!" She nods.

Danny smiles and softly kisses her lips.

"What is it?!  What is it?!!!" Addelyn jumps up and down.

Jessica laughs.  She then places her hand on the side of her belly and says, "Guys.. This is Oliver Maxwell Huston."

"Oliver!  He has a name!" Addelyn shouts.
She then gasps and says, "We can call him Oli!"

"That's what I said!" Jessica laughs.

Everyone was excited but, Addelyn was beyond excited.
She ran over to Jessica and kissed all over her round belly.

"I love you, Oli!  I love you, I love you, I love you!"

Jessica smiles and plays with Addelyn's hair.
She then looks up to Danny who was standing behind the couch she was sitting on.

"Love you, momma."

"Love you too, daddy." She smiles softly.

Danny leans forward and kisses her lips.
Just then they hear something fall and shatter.
Everyone's attention is quickly brought to Alessia who stood beside the Christmas tree they were currently decorating.

"Alessia! Mommy, she's throwing ornaments!" Nathaniel says as Alessia continues grabbing the ornaments off the tree and throwing them onto the ground.

"Alessia, Francesca!" Jessica stands as quick as she can.

"NO!" Alessia takes off.

"Get her, Danny!" Jessica raises her voice.

Danny chases after the screaming toddler.
Jessica then sits down and sighs with exhaustion.
She places her hand on her bump and looks down, "Are you ready for this circus, Oli?"

The baby then kicks and punches his mother. "Ouch! Oh no! Don't tell me you're crazy too!"
