Four months old.

Sam has been in New York for two months now and has seen the babies only a couple of times since. He hasn't brought up any custody issues, so Jessica was grateful.

Sarah was going to be leaving down for a couple of weeks for work.  She was so worried about leaving Jessica and the babies, but this was something that had been scheduled.

"Honey, please don't worry about leaving me!  The babies and I have worked out a little schedule and we're doing okay.  Besides, if I really need help I'll just fly my mom or one of my sisters out.  It'll be okay." Jessica smiles softly.

"Okay.. Well I love you."

"I love you too!"

Sarah pecks her lips, and says, "Call me, okay?"

"I will."

"I mean it, Jess! All the time!"

"I will!" She laughs.

"Okay.." Sarah gives her a more intense kiss.

"Mmm!  I will definitely miss those lips!" Jessica smirks.

Sarah giggles and puckers her beautiful plumped lips.

"Say bye bye, to Sare bear!"

"Bye bye, my beautiful little munchkins! I'm gonna miss you both so so much!
Jessica, what if they do something new while in gone?"

"They won't, babe!" Jessica chuckles.

"Wait!" Jessica's eyes widen.

"What?!" Sarah panics.

"You think they'll get up and walk while you're gone?!"

"Jessica!" Sarah says in an irritated tone.

"I'm just messing with you, love. Of course I'll call you!  I'll text you and send you lots of pictures!  You won't miss a thing!" She smiles.

"Thank you." Sarah softly pecks her lips.

"Oh look at you two cuties!  Let's take a picture and tell Sare Bear how much we miss her!"

Jessica snaps a picture of the twins and giggles at their cuteness.

"Nathan, are you posing for the camera, sweet boy?!  And look at my Addy's gorgeous little smile!!  My goodness, you two look like model babies!"

Addylen and Nathaniel both coo and smile as they kick their legs with excitement.

"You get so happy when momma compliments you!" Jessica giggles.

The first week went surprisingly smooth without Sarah.  Jessica was so happy with how great it was going.

The second week was a little different.  Both twins were refusing to eat, refusing the pacifier, and refusing to sleep.  Jessica really didn't know what to do.

She was close to calling her mom, but figured since Sarah would be back in just a few days, she would be able to figure all of this out on her own.

Jessica hears a knock on the door, so she checks to see who it is.

Jessica opens the door holding Addelyn.
"Sam, why don't you ever warn me when you're coming over?"

"Why?  You don't have to try and impress me!"

"That's not what I meant, Sam." She says picking Nathaniel up.

"Everything okay?"

"They're just a little fussy."

"Let me help you."

Jessica looks at him and he says, "I can help, they're my babies too."

"Okay.. Here, take Nathan.  Addy's really clingy with me and will more than likely scream even louder if I hand her over."

"It's okay.  Come here, Scrappy!" Sam smiles and holds his hands out for his son.

Jessica chuckles and lightly bounces Addylen.

"Yeah, you're okay.. Jess look.  He's calming down." Sam smiles.

"That's good!
So what did you want?"

"I just wanted to see them.... I wanted to see you too."

Jessica rolls her eyes and sits down.

"Jessica, I've been thinking.. A lot..and... I feel terrible for what I've done.  I realize what I did was wrong, and I'm so sorry."

Jessica looks at him and doesn't say a word.

"I hope you can forgive me.. I know you may not, and I don't blame you.  I just want you to know that I am so sorry..and I will make it up to you.  I'll make it up by being the best father I can be to our babies."

"Thank you, Sam.." Jessica spoke in a low voice.

"I just want to make things right."

Jessica nods and gives him the smallest smile.

"Jessica.. I don't want to move forward with the divorce."

"What?"

"I understand being separated until we can figure this whole thing out, but.. Jessie, now that I see what I did... I just want to be the best father and husband I can be."

"And you still can be..
Just not with me."

"Why?"

"Why?  You have to ask?"

"Okay, I know why.  But I want us to be a family."

"Sam.. I'm sorry."

"I'll give you time."

"No amount of time is going to change my mind, Sam."

"Is there someone else."

"My kids.  Heh, You and I together is not healthy."

"We can go to counseling."

"Sam, I really don't want to talk about this. 
I've been very busy, but I'll get on it, and get the paperwork if you don't want to do all that."

"Jessica, I'm begging you to not do this."

"Sam.  Stop it."

"Jessica.. I love you, baby."

"Sam, you don't love me." Jessica nods.

"Yes I do!"

"No.. You love the idea of being in love with me.. We weren't meant to be and you know it.  I won't keep you from your children, Sam.  I want you to be in their lives.  As they get older we'll work out some sort of custody schedule."

"Jess-"

"Sam.  Please.  Not now."

"I love you.  I want you to know that I'll always love you."

Jessica nods and looks down to the baby.

Sam pauses for a moment before breaking the silence.

"Hi little guy!  Heh!  You're so cute."

Nathaniel smiles at his father and Sam's face lights up.

"Since you've calmed down, do you wanna see dada, Addy?"

"Both at one time?" Sam gets a nervous look in his eyes.

"You can handle it." Jessica laughs.

"Okay.. Come here, Addelyn!" He smiles as Jessica hands him the baby.

Addelyn looks up to Sam with wide eyes.

"What is that face?" Jessica laughs.

"Addy, it's daddy!  Can you smile for him like your brother did?"

Addylen looks at Jessica, then back at Sam.

"She looks a bit puzzled" Jessica laughs.

"Heh, I know!  Gosh, you're so pretty, Addy.  You both look so much like your momma.."

Jessica smiles softly just before she hears the door open.

Jessica quickly turns in a panic.  She wasn't expecting anyone, so it really freaked her out.

"SURPRISE!  I'm home!"

"Sarah!" Jessica shouts running over to hug her.

"Jessica!  Oh I missed you so much!" Sarah goes to hug her and Jessica quickly says, "Look who's here!"

"Oh!  Hey, Sam.." She smiles softly.

"Hi.. How are you?"

"Great!  Just glad to be home." Sarah smiles at Jessica.

"What have you been up to?"

"Oh I had to go to LA for some interviews for this movie coming out.. I'm so happy I was able to come home early." She says placing her hand on Jessica's lower back, then slides it over her hip.

Sam looks at her hand placement, and Jessica quickly walks towards the kitchen.

"Sam, did you want anything to drink?"

"No, I'm okay.  Thank you though.  I actually need to be going."

"Oh, okay." Jessica walks back and takes Nathaniel.

"Thanks for letting me hang out."

"No problem.  Text me if you want to come over again soon to see them."

"I will."

Sarah takes Addelyn from Sam and kisses her forehead over and over again.

"Nice seeing you, Sarah."

"You too, Sam." She smiles.

"Bye Jess." Sam wraps his arm around her and kisses her cheek.

Jessica looked a little uncomfortable so Sam quickly apologized.

"Sorry.. I'll see you later."

"Alright.. Bye."

As soon as Sam leaves, Sarah smiles at Jessica.  They both put the babies down and kiss each other passionately.

"Oh I've missed you so much!" Jessica mumbles.

"Me too.. Oh Jess, I want you.."

"Sorry, I forgot my phone!" Sam opens the front door startling the two women.

"What the hell?" His eyes go wide.

Jessica moved her mouth, yet no words could be formed.

"You're.. You're lesbian now?"

"Sam I... Yeah..."

"Keep the phone.  I-I-I um.. I need to go."

Sam turns around and leaves as fast as he can.

"Well.. That's not how I planned on telling him, but okay."

"First your mom, now Sam!  Man, people just keep walking in on us!" Sarah laughs.

Jessica chuckles and grabs Sarah's cheeks in her hands.

"I missed you so much!"

"I missed you too, bubble butt." Sarah smiles and grabs her ass.

"Hey!"

"What?  You grabbed My cheeks!" She winks.

"Heh!  Just shut up and kiss me!"

Sarah smiled and leaned in to kiss her passionately.
