Sarah went out to a local bar.  She ordered a drink and called her best friend Lily.

"You need to leave her, Sar."

"Lil." Sarah sighed.

"You can't trust her, Sarah!  She obviously has feelings for this man."

"I don't know.. I mean, I'm probably just overreacting.  I AM overreacting!"

"No Sarah, you're not! Jessica is crazy!"

"Maybe I'm the one the one that's crazy. I'm just so jealous of that man!"

"Well you have reason to be! She has a damn baby with him!"

"I know.. and I know it's not the baby's fault, and I know said I would love her but.."

"You don't."

"I can't! I'm trying but it's so hard, Lily! She's just a baby but every time I look at her or hear her loud PIERCING cry I think about that man. That evil man."

"I wish I was there with you. I feel bad."

"I'm fine. Really I am.. it's just going to take more time than I thought. We need to actually go to our therapist and not cancel every time."

"Yeah.. Well at least you get to see me soon!"

"Fun." Sarah says sarcastically.

"Hey! You WILL have fun!"

"Not if my mind is constantly on Jessica and HIM!"

"Sarah, if you can't trust her this just isn't gonna work."

"I know.. Oh gosh, things didn't used to be like this!  Before Dylan was born, Jess and I were inseparable.  We Never fought!  It started when my brain became crazy after birth... it's my fault.  It's all my fault!" Sarah cries.

"Sarah don't cry!  Yes you were emotional, but you had just had a baby!  That still wasn't enough for her to do this to you."

"I TOLD HER TO CALL DANNY!" Sarah shouts.

"You didn't tell her to have sex with him! Stop blaming yourself when it was her fault for hoeing around!"

"Hoeing around.. *Scoffs* like what we did?"

"That's not the same! You were separated! She lived with Danny and she was already a pregnant.  You really think she didn't sleep with him again?"

"I don't know but it doesn't make what we did right."

"It's still not the same!"

"Whatever, I'll talk to you later."

"Be careful and don't drink too much."

"I won't. Bye."

Sarah hung up, downed her drink then left.

Meanwhile back at home Jessica was putting the kids to bed.

"Mommy, I just want everyone to be happy. Even if you're not happy with momma.. if you're happy with Danny, then I'm happy too. I just don't want to hear the fighting anymore." Addelyn said ever so sweetly.

"Oh baby girl.. I'm so sorry you guys are in the middle of all this mess."

"It's okay...
Just do what you want.  Even if you want to go back with daddy. I'll be happy." Addelyn says with the smallest smile.

"Well.. Let's not go crazy."

Addelyn chuckles softly.

"Anyway.. I just don't like this.. maybe you just shouldn't be with anyone."

"Maybe.."

Addelyn sighs. "I'm gonna go to sleep now, mommy."

"Okay baby. Have sweet dreams." Jessica kisses her on the cheek and tucks her in.

The boys were out right away leaving Jessica and the baby the only ones awake.

"Come on my little night owl.  Let's feed you."

Jessica silently cried as she softly caressed the nursing baby's cheek.

"Lessi.. I'm sorry your Mommy's crazy. I promise one day we'll be happy. Wether that's with Sarah.. your daddy.. or on our own. We'll figure this out, Princess." She spoke in a soft and tearful voice.

Just then Sarah lightly knocked on the door.

"Oh! I didn't hear you come in.."

"Sorry.."

"It's fine.." Jessica then looked back down to the baby.

Sarah walked over and sat beside her.

"Jess."

"Hm?"

"Why are we so fucked up?"

"Heh! There's lots of reasons, Sarah."

"There's one reason that really sticks out to me."

Jessica sighs and says, "Oh gosh! Sarah.. Yes I had a baby with another man, but I don't and I will Never regret my daughter. Danny, no matter if you like it or not.. he's my friend and he is the father of my child. He's going to be in my life forever."

"I know.. I shouldn't have been so hateful.. I just hate him."

Jessica chuckles softly and nods her head.
"I understand. You don't have to be his friend, you don't have to like him. But you do have to accept the fact that he's going to be in my life and my kids' life.  I promise you nothing is going on between us. We co parent so yeah we talk to each other on a daily basis.  He wants to know how his daughter is when he's not around and I want to know how she is when I'm not around.  You and I did the same when we were separated."

"I guess you're right..
Jess, we need counseling. We're hanging on by a thread.... A severely mangled thread."

Jessica laughs softly. "I know. We need to stop canceling our appointments."

"Yeah.." Sarah nods in agreement.

"You know I love you?" Jessica asks.

Sarah nods her head with tears in her eyes.

"You know I love you?"

Jessica nods.

Sarah smiles softly and leans in to gently kiss her lips.
Just then the baby hums cutely. Jessica looks down and smiles to the baby.

"What, pretty girl?" She baby talks.

Alessia made sucking noises as she ate from her mother. She looked up to Jessica with wide eyes. She barley blinked, it was like she was just in awe of her mother.

"She's infatuated with you, Jess."

"Heh! I think she's just taking a poopy."

"Or that." Sarah laughs.

Halloween.

Jessica is currently in the restroom doing Addelyn's hair.  She is going to be a zombie princess.  She wanted her hair as beautiful as a princess but her dress ripped and bloodstained.  Jessica even perfected zombie scars which made the look complete.

"Mommy, you're doing so well so far!"

"Thank you, baby!" Jessica smiles.

"Thank YOU! I look lovely!"

Jessica laughs and kisses her cheek. "You sure do, baby girl!"

Suddenly they hear a loud cry coming from the next room.

"Someone is very unhappy, mommy!" Addelyn looks at her mother with a very concerned face.

"I know, isn't she? I'll ask momma if she can get her." Jessica the calls out, "Sarah, I'm doing Addy's hair, will you please come get Alessia?"

Sarah groans and walks into the bedroom to get her.
Most of the time Jessica tried not asking Sarah for help when it came to the baby, but right now she was busy and needed the help.

"Shh, shh, shh.. you're fine, stop crying." Sarah says bouncing the baby.

Alessia only screamed louder. She wasn't a huge fan of Sarah either.

Hearing her little sister's screams made Addelyn upset.

"Mommy, I don't think Lessi likes mommy very much."

Jessica sighs. "Well she's still little and really only finds comfort in me-"

"Cause she was in your tummy for a long long time!"

"Yes, that's why!" Jessica smiles.

"Mommy?"

"Yes, baby?"

"I don't know if momma really like Lessi."

"Why do you say that, honey?"

"Well she doesn't hold her a lot, and she doesn't talk to her the way she talked to me, Nathan or Dylan. Plus I know she doesn't like Danny.. I thought maybe since she doesn't like him, she wouldn't like his baby."

"I think they both need to get used to each other.. Let me go and grab her and I'll be right back, okay?"

"Okay!" Addelyn smiles softly.

"Oh good! Look Alessia, Mommy's here." Sarah says handing her the baby.

"Come here my princess!" Jessica baby talks and kisses her cheek.

The baby calms down immensely just being in her mother's arms.

"Are you hungry, cutie pie?" She asks lifting the flap of her nursing blouse.

"Mmmhhhmmhh.." Alessia hums as she eats.

"Oh you were starving!  Mommy just doesn't feed you, huh? *Laughs* My little chunky monkey!" Jessica says patting her bottom as she walks into the restroom.

"Hi, baby sister! Mommy, when is Alessia gonna put her costume on?"

"Well for now she's only going to wear her Halloween onesie. I'm not putting her costume on until we go trick or treating."

"Danny's coming too, right?"

"He's going to meet us towards the end of trick or treating so he can take the baby."

"I wish we could see Danny everyday! He's so sweet, momma."

"I know he is, baby." Jessica smiles.

"Yeah.. and he's handsome!" Addelyn giggles.

"Addy!" She laughs.

"What?!  He is!"

"You are a mess, child!"

"Oh my goodness!  You are so Boooo-tiful, darling!
Smile so mama can take your picture!" Jessica says smiling at her baby.

"Oh my goodness!  You're so perfect!"

The baby smiles sweetly at her mother.
"You're looking more and more like your daddy, little one."

Alessia swings her arms, kicks her legs and giggles cutely.

"Yeah, daddy! Aw, you live him, don't you?"

The baby gets even more excited making Jessica giggle.

"Oh gosh I love you so much!"

The kids had a blast at their party. Dylan even got in the middle of things. He thought he was such a big boy hanging around his brother and sister's friends.

While the kids played, Sarah and Jessica sat around with their friends.

"Man, you two, that baby is just so adorable!" One of their friends says.

"Thank you, Tina." Jessica smiles softly.

"But, don't you ever rest? Sarah, you haven't even helped her!" Tina chuckles.

"Oh it's okay! Lessi is cranky with anyone else but me. I'm fine! Um.. I'm gonna go feed her, excuse me!"

As Jessica left the room, Stephanie, who was sitting beside Tina elbowed her in the arm.

"Are you crazy?!"

"Ow!  What was that for?!"

"Jessica had an affair, she didn't get pregnant with IVF like Sarah!"

"Oh! Well I'm new to this group, why doesn't anyone tell me anything!!"

"It's fine.." Sarah says. "That's her baby. I only help when I'm needed."

"Sarah, no offense but that's really crappy." Tina says.

"How?"

"You two are back together now.  I know she isn't your baby but Jessica is your wife! You helped her with the twins."

"That was different."

"If you forgave Jessica, why do you have to hold a grudge against a little baby?"

Sarah didn't respond. She just looked down at the table and thought about what her friend said.

After the party and a quick nap for Dylan, the kids went trick or treating.
Danny met them along the way, and Sarah kept her distance from him as the kids ran over to great him with hugs.

"Dan! Dan!" Dylan stumbled over.

"Dill my man! Hey buddy! Oh I've missed you!"

"Mish yew!"

Danny chuckles and gives him a hug.

"Oh my goodness and there's my little princess!  My little bucket of Dippin' Dots!" Danny laughs as looks over at Alessia in her moby wrap.

"Look Lessi, there's Dada!" Jessica takes her out and hands her over.

"Oh my goodness, I could just eat you up!  You are such a sweetheart!" Danny showers his daughter with kisses making her giggle.

"Mommy, I wanna go trick or treating at Danny's!" Addelyn says.

"No honey, we have to get home."

"Awe man!  No fair!" She pouts.

"I'm sorry!"

"Just take them.  We're five minutes from the house, I'll just walk." Sarah says.

"No Sarah, we need to-"

"I'm being nice.  Just go."

"Yay!  Thank you, momma!" Addelyn and Nathaniel hug her tightly.

"We won't be long."

"Just be safe."

"You too."

Jessica and the kids went to Danny's.  He gave them candy and they stayed talking for a bit.

"You guys, put baby sister in her Dippin' Dots carton!" Addelyn says.

"Oh yes, we need pictures!"

Danny puts her in and Jessica grabs her camera.

"Alessia!  Look at mommy!  Smile, princess!" Jessica laughed as Alessia watches her mother with wide eyes.

"Let me see your gummies!  Smile, silly!"

"She's confused." Nathaniel laughs.

"I think she is!" Jessica giggles.

Just then the doorbell rings.

"More trick or treaters!" Addelyn jumps.

"Wanna help me, Addy?"

"Yeah!"

Addelyn grabs the big bowl of candy and she and Danny walk to the front door.

"Trick or treat!" Danny's sister, Anjelica says holding her one year old baby girl, Harper.  Her husband following behind.

"Hey!  Come in!  Hi Harper!" Danny takes her from his sister.

"Jess and the kids are here so join the party!"

"Oh good!  Hey everyone!"

"Hi Anj!" Jessica hugs her.

She then greets the kids before seeing the baby.

"Alessia, auntie Anjelica is here- OH MY GOSH!  That is the cutest costume Ever!"

Danny chuckles and puts Harper down right beside Alessia.

Harper blows a raspberry and bounces up and down.

"Mommy, get the camera, she's smiling!" Nathaniel says as Alessia smiles softly at her cousin.

"Aw!  Danny, look at our babies!" Anjelica smiles.

"They're pretty cute, aren't they?"

"They are!"

"And so are her siblings!" Danny says so the other kids don't feel left out.

"I cute!" Dylan shouts.

"Me too?" Addelyn smiles.

"Of course, beautiful!"

"I'm the cutest!" Nathaniel smiles making Danny laugh.

They stayed a while longer than expected.  When they finally arrived at home Sarah was in bed.

Jessica helped Addelyn take her makeup off.  She tucked all three kids in, then went to get ready for bed.

"Oh!  You're up!" Jessica says walking in to Sarah watching tv.

"Mhm.  Have fun?"

"Yeah.. it was tough getting them to bed though."

"You should've called out for me."

"It's okay."

Jessica then changed her clothes and washed her face before returning Sarah.

"Sarebear?" Jessica speaks softly.

"Hm?"

"Since you leave in a couple days, how about I take you on a nice date tomorrow night?"

"Really?"

"Yeah!"

"But I'm such a bitch.."

"I know."

Sarah laughs and tickles her side.

"Ah!  Stop it!" Jessica laughs.

"You're not a bitch....
Thank you for letting me take the kids over to Danny's."

"You're welcome.  I need to trust you, I know that.. so I'm working on it." Sarah looks at Jessica with a soft smile.

Jessica smiles and leans in to kiss her lips.

"We're gonna be okay."

"I think so." Sarah nods.
