"Should you go after him?"

Kennedy looked at Stiles, shaking her head. "What if that thing, whatever it is, comes back, and youre by yourself?" She asks. Stiles sighs, knowing she was right. "Come on," Stiles feels Kennedy interlock their hands together, pulling him down a path.

Stiles looked around the woods, tracing the path with their flashlight. "Do you think Scott's okay?"

Kennedy nods, "He's always okay. He's Scott." She tells her boyfriend. Stiles rolls his eyes.

"Obviously, but what if that was the werewolf who killed that family?"

"Then Scott will kick his ass!" Kennedy retorts. "It's not like we can't handle a werewolf here or there." Kennedy comes to a complete stop, looking down her left. Stiles looked at his girlfriend in confusion as she began to walk, further and further off path.

Stiles keeps a hand linked with Kennedy's as he looks over. "Hey, didn't you say Coyotes live in dens," Stiles began.

Kennedy nods, "Yeah, why?"

"I think I found a den."

Kennedy looks over the guys shoulder. She frowns, "We should find Scott before we go in there." She remarks. Stiles nods, the two walking back down the path to look for the McCall. "You know, having dreams about how this would go would've been way better than just the car."

"Well, at least it wasn't someone dying?" Stiles adds. Kennedy turns back, raising a brow. "I'm just saying."

The two of them turned a corner, bumping into someone else. The other person screamed, as did Stiles and Kennedy. The three of them stopped, realizing it was just, well, Scott, Stiles, and Kennedy.

"We think we found something."

Scott nods, "So did I."

Stiles leads them back to the den that was apparently built by boulders. "It's a coyote den." Kennedy begins.

Scott looks around, "Werecoyote."

Stiles kneels down, picking up a blue jacket, "You see this? This is Malia's. Remember, it's the same one she was wearing in the photo."

Scott looked around, seeing the stuffed bear. "We shouldn't be in here."

"What do you mean?"

"She's not going to come back now. We just invaded her home." Scott explained, "Our scent's going to be everywhere."

Stiles looked around the place, "If she's not going to come back here, where's she going to go?"

"I don't know."

Kennedy speaks up, "Can you track her now? Do you have her scent?"

"Maybe. But I'm better at this when I'm a full wolf. And I'm still worried that if I do it, I won't be able to turn back."

Stiles sighs, "The door's still open." He mumbles, repeating it to Derek.

Scott looked over, "If I can't get to Derek, we're gonna have to find someone else to help."

Kennedy speaks up, leaning on the rocks by the entrance. "This is technically a crime scene, right?" Scott and Stiles looked back at her. "No offense, Scott, but I think it might be a little out of Deaton's league."

"And more in my dad's." Stiles adds.

༺❀༻

The Deputy looked up, "And thats it?" The Hale girl sheepishly nods. Kennedy was being interviewed by police, giving the most realistic answers she could give. The Deputy wrote down anything she said, until she was finally able to go back to Stiles and Scott

"But yeah, see, that's the point that we don't exactly have figured out yet," Stiles said, talking about Malia not being exactly human

Kennedy walked down the hill "Okay, but if it was a full moon and she did change while her mom was driving, then anything could've happened." She said, "Including lots of violence, claws, and more, that probably causes the accident." Kennedy explained to the three, "She honestly could've been put into such a state of shock she went further into forming into a coyote than Scott and I typically do as werewolves."

"That makes sense." Sheriff sighed, he looked back at Kennedy, "In a Chinese folktale." The Hale rose a brow, "You three, this is this is insane. I need this kept quiet. The three of you, not a word. I don't want anyone hearing about this." Kennedy and Stiles obediently nods, "I especially don't want Mr. Tate hearing about this." The McCall pauses, looking behind him. "Scott?" Kennedy rose a brow, realizing it must be something to do with the metaphorical door situation. "Scott!"

Scott looked back over, "Sorry," He mumbled, "What did you say "

A black vehicle slowly pulls up to the scene "Oh, hell." The three teens turn their heads to see a man in a suit, who they recognized as FBI Agent Mr. McCall, and Mr. Tate. "Mr. Tate."

Kennedy bit the inside of her cheek as she watched Mr. Tate take the object from Sheriff's hands. Mr Tate chokes on his own words. "It's hers." He mumbles.

"All right, wait here."

"Dad."

Agent Mccall looks over, "I'll talk to you in a minute." He begins, "I wouldn't mind hearing how your mom's okay with you running around in the woods this late."

All police officials and such walk off towards the den. Kennedy looks back at Stiles. "Come on, I'll take you guys home," He said, wrapping am arm around her shoulders as they walk away.

Kennedy moaned as she threw her head back, her nails digging into Stiles's back. Stiles put a hand over her mouth, trying to keep her quiet. "I can't believe I agreed to this," Stiles breathed out. The couple were now in a locked closet. After recent times, and pent up tension, the two of them decided to take their frustrations out on each other.

In a janitor's closet.

Kennedy laughed, "What can I say? I'm incredibly persuasive." She remarked, pulling him in for a sloppy kiss. She gasped as Stiles quickened his pace, and Kennedy leaned against the wall as she hummed in pleasure.

"Shut up, or I'll stop,"

The Hale girl looked at Stiles with a glare, and he only rose a brow in reply. She wasn't able to get out any snarky reply, as she screwed her eyes shut, trying to stay quiet. Stiles exhaled loudly, slowing down as Kennedy dug her nails into his back. She slowly opened her eyes, making eye contact with Stiles. He leaned in, their foreheads touching as they finished their endeavors.

Wink wink.

Stiles buttoned his jeans, looking back at Kennedy as she looked at her hair in a compact mirror. He kissed her collar bone, kissing up her neck before her jaw, cheek, and then her lips. Kennedy smiled into the kiss, pulling away to look over her hair.

"Does it look obvious?" She asked. Stiles rose a brow, and she shrugged.

"No. You look like your usually perfect self, Ken," Stiles remarked, causing her to smile. "Come on, we have to meet up with Scott and Allison before class."

Kennedy groaned, tugging on Stiles's hand. "Can't we just skip today? Maybe we could go for round two in Coach's office, round three in the Jeep, round four in my dads bed," She giggled seductively as she kissed Stiles again.

Stiles pulled away, "I'm going to assume it's the Full Moon making you extra," He looked Kennedy up and down, "That, but we have things to do,"

The two of them walked hand in hand to History class, saying hello's to Scott and Allison before getting right to business. "Here's where we found the den. It's right in the middle of the hiking trails." Stiles explains, pointing to the marked spot on his tablet.

"Well, that could narrow it down." Allison nods. "Coyotes travel in fixed trails. But I think you're right about her not going back to the den." Kennedy looks up, intrigued. "Coyotes don't like wolves. And they're really smart. If they don't want to be heard, they actually walk on their toes."

Stiles's jaw drops. "Coyotes tip-toe?" He asks.

Allison looks over at him, "They tip-toe." She rolls her eyes. The school bell rings, signaling class is starting soon. "I got to go, but send me the pinned location."

"And after school we are having a video call over what color scheme we're having for our birthday party." Kennedy told the Argent, eyeballing her. The teens split up, Scott bumping into Kira.

Meanwhile, Kennedy sat next to Stiles which would be in front of Scott. She looks at him, "Hey, do you want to hang out tonight? My dads still out of town."

Stiles looks at her in confusion. "I thought he was supposed to be back today." The Hale girl held up her phone.

"According to him, he's staying in Mexico for a few days, said the food was to die for." She explains.

"If impending life or death doesn't get in the way, then of course," Stiles said. Kennedy gave a big smile, turning to the front.

Mr. Yukimura walks to the front of the class. "All right, everyone. Let's get started." Kennedy pulls out her notebook, putting it on her desk. "We were just talking about internment camps and prisoners of war. There's a passage in our reading that I'd like to go over in more detail Who would like to come up and read aloud for us?" Kennedy looked at the packet in her hand, "Mr. Stilinski, how about you?"

Stiles looked up, fiddling with his own. "Oh, maybe someone else could."

"I'll do it," Kennedy says, trying to help her boyfriend.

Mr Yukimura waved her off, "Everyone participates in my class, Mr. Stilinski." Stiles looks at Kennedy, sighing as he stands up.Kennedy looks at him, hoping whatever's been happening to him will stop for just a moment. Spoiler alert, it doesn't.

"Come on, come on." Kennedy listens to Stiles's heartbeat begin to speed up. She sits up straight, smacking Scott's packer.

Scott looks up, realizing that Stiles wasn't okay. He slowly stood up, "Stiles? You okay?"

"Stiles?" Kennedy's voice was small as she and the McCall slowly approached the human boy. His eyes drooped as he stumbled Kennedy moved in to catch him, as did Scott. She looks at Scott, unsure what to do.

Scott looks at Mr. Yukimura, "I should take him to the nurse's office."

Kennedy looks at Scott, "Should I come with you?"

Scott shook his head, "I'll handle it. We'll meet up with you," He whispers. Kennedy purses her lips, but nods. She stands at the podium, watching her best friend and her boyfriend walk out of history class. She tapped the wood, sighing in pity. Mr. Yukimura cleared his throat awkwardly. Kennedy moved, walking to her seat.

"Alright, let's move on."

༺❀༻

Kennedy twirled her hair in her finger as she looked at her desk. She didn't know what to do. She wanted to find Scott and Stiles, more than anything. Kira looked at Kennedy as the bell rang.

Kennedy stood up, grabbing her things. "Hey," Kennedy looked up, seeing Kira

"Hey, Kira," Kennedy smiled kindly, putting her large handbag over her shoulder. "What's up?"

"Well, I know you're probably going to see Scott and Stiles, and they left their stuff, so I figured you might want some help," Kira held up Scott and Stiles's backpacks, which Kennedy looked between in realization.

Kennedy smiled kindly, "Sure, come on," Kennedy
took Stiles's bag, leading the girl out of class.

The Yukimura girl followed the Hale, "So, what do you guys usually do when you're not in school?" She asked.

"Well, you know, normal teenager stuff," Kennedy lied. "Nothing interesting, really,"

"That's not what I hear."

Kennedy snapped her head at Kira, "Well, what do you hear?" She asked, worried what the girl was going to say next.

The two of them walk into the hall with the locker rooms, coming to an abrupt stop when they see a coyote at the top of the stairs. "Oh, my god." Kira whispers.

"Run!" Kennedy yells, the two of them dropping the four backpacks before running into the locker room. Kennedy slammed the locker room doors shut, following Kira to the back. The two of them hid behind the lockers, and Kennedy looks Kira over. "I like your dress," She mumbles.

Crashing from the door cause them to tense up. The Coyote, Malia, must have jumped through. Kennedy looks at Kira for a moment. How could Kennedy get Malia to stop without full werewolfing out? She looked around, trying to analyze their situation. Kira looked at Kennedy with wide eyes. Kennedy stood up, slowly stepping into the middle. The coyote snarled, and Kira slowly backed away. Kennedy's eyes turned red, as Malia's turned blue. Kennedy gasped as the locker banks started tumbling down. A pair of hands grab Kennedy's waist, pulling her out of harms way. Kennedy spun around, looking up at Scott in surprise.

Kennedy sighed in relief, "You bitch." She hisses as she smacked his chest. She pushed off of him, Scott chuckling.

Stiles walked in, looking around the scene. "Kennedy?"  The girl grinned as Stiles hugged her tightly. Obviously, he was okay, and obviously she was okay. But with everything going on, Stiles couldn't help but feel worried. Kennedy pulled away, "I'm gonna call my dad, alright?" The Hale nods, letting Stiles step back to grab his phone.

Kira hugged herself as she shook her head. "Why would a coyote break into a school?" She asked.

Kennedy looked at Scott, unsure how to answer. "Maybe it was scared," Scott lied. "Something might've scared it out of the woods."

"Like what? A bear?"

Or a werewolf, Kennedy thought.

It was only thirty minutes before the entire school found out. Police looked around the boys locker room. Kennedy sat on a bench with Kira, the two of them giving them their witness reports. Kennedy looked up to see Mr. Yukimura walking in. Kira's shoulders slouched, and Kennedy watched as the family of two walked towards a corner

"Dad, seriously, I'm okay."

Mr Yukimura looked down at his daughter, "Why were you not headed to lunch like everyone else?"

"They left their bags. I was just trying to do something nice." Kira explained, "You do something nice and you make friends. Or so I've heard."

Kennedy stood up, walking over. "It's my fault, Mr. Yukimura. She and I usually sit at lunch together and I wanted her to come with me so she wouldn't be alone." She explained, slightly lying. Kira looked at Kennedy in confusion, not expecting Kennedy to lie about who's idea it was for Kira to come with. Mr. Yukimura looked at Kennedy. He had heard amazing things about Kennedy Hale. As Kennedy Stallard, she was a straight A student, involved in homecoming committee, prom, and charities for the different sports teams. As Kennedy Hale, she was the same, involved, good grades, and the picture perfect student.

If only he knew.

Mr. Yukimura sighed, "It's fine, Kennedy." Kennedy smiled kindly. "I'm just glad nobody got hurt."

"Where did you get that?" A voice asks. Kennedy looks over to see Mr. Tate walking into the locker room. "Where did you find this?" Mr Tate snatches the doll from Stiles's hand, looking down at it. "It belonged to my daughter." He says slowly.

Sheriff Stilinski pats Scott's shoulder, "Sorry, guys," He whispers as he steps past the boys. Kennedy walks over, linking hands with Stiles protectively. "Mr. Tate, I don't know how you heard about this. If you got your own police scanner or what but you can't be here." He puts his hand on the mans side to turn him around, when he feels something. Sheriff Stilinski pulls back the Tate's jacket, revealing a gun.

Kennedy's eyes involuntarily widen as Stiles pulled her backwards. Mr Tate looks up. "I have a permit." He defends. Sheriff Stilinski looked up at him.

"California schools are gun free zones, permit or no permit. You need to leave, Mr. Tate. Now."

Mr Tate stutters as he tries to find the right words, looking over at the Sheriff. "You find that animal. You find that thing." He demands as he storms out of the building. Kennedy let's put a shaky breath as she looks between Scott and Stiles. They needed to find Malia, before Mr. Tate did.

༺❀༻

"Looks like our date is cancelled," Kennedy said on the phone as she climbed out of her car.

Stiles was walking up to the Animal clinic. "Well, we can make up for it soon, alright?" Stiles says, "I'll talk to you after we meet with Deaton."

"And I'll meet with Ethan and Aiden," She adds. "Hopefully they'll agree if they see Lydia," The Martin stood in front of Kennedy's car, arms crossed. "Love you, bye,"

Lydia rose a browse Kennedy hung up. "Why am I here?"

"I need leverage," She said, grabbing the Martin's hand. "Plus, maybe they have an idea on how to turn werecoyotes into teenage girls."

Lydia groaned as they walked into the store, looking around for the twins. "How do you even know they're here?"

"I can smell them, duh,"

The Martin rolled her eyes, looking around. Kennedy's eyes searched the entire store, her werewolf senses heightened. She tugged Lydia's hand, puking her towards the men's section.

Ethan and Aiden looked at the shirts upon shirts, deciding which ones to buy. Aiden tensed up, his head snapping to the side as he sees Kennedy walk into the section. He growled lowly, grabbing her my her throat and pushing her against a tall shelf in the middle, piled with sweatpants.

Kennedy's fingers pried at his hands. "That's not a very good way to say hello." She huffed out.

"Aiden, let her go," Lydia scolds. Aiden glared at the brunette, releasing her from his grasp. Kennedy landed on her feet, rubbing her neck as she walked back towards Lydia.

Ethan pulled his brother next to him. "What do you want?" He asked, trying to keep this as simple as possible.

"We wanted to know if you two can turn werewolves back into people." Lydia began.

"More importantly, fully formed werecoyotes back to normal human werecoyotes," Kennedy follows.

"What?" Ethan looked at Kennedy. "Can't you?"

Kennedy threw her arms in the air. "I've been an Alpha for a month! I'm sorry if I'm a little rusty." She defended. "Look, Scott's having a lot of trouble in the Alpha department, and I think you two could really help him."

Aiden shrugged, "Why would we?" He asked bitterly. Kennedy looked at Lydia, as if silently asking for permission. The redhead shrugged, stepping back as Kennedy grabbed the two boys by the back of their necks, her claws slightly digging into their skin. Ethan grunted in pain, while Aiden slowly looked up to see Kennedy's glowing red eyes.

"I'm looking down at two pathetic omega's with no pack." Kennedy began, looking between them. "Two omegas who not only tried to kill me, but killed my pack members. You thought you were top of the food chain, but," Her claws dig deeper into their skin. "Look who's on top, now."

Lydia fiddled with the necklace between her fingers. It was the necklace Kennedy had given her for her birthday, she had worn it almost every day since. Nothing felt more comforting than your best friends dead moms necklace, right? Aiden glared up at the Hale girl, "What do you want us to do?" Kennedy smirked down at him, her eyes flashing red one more time.

༺❀༻

Kennedy opened the door to the loft, tossing her key in her purse as her and Lydia looked around. It was empty, no former Alpha twins in sight.  "They said they'd meet us here." Lydia mumbled. Suddenly, the sound of a loud smack caused Lydia, Kennedy, and Stiles to turn around. Ethan and Aiden throw Scott off the stairs. Stiles pushes Kennedy and Lydia backwards, knowing that whatever this is, isn't going to end well.

The twins began just beating the absolute crap out of him. Stiles looked at his girlfriend. "Was this a good idea?"

"There's different methods for everyone." She mumbled, watching the fight continue. "Scott needs an effective one."

Scott fell to the ground, groaning in pain. "I thought you guys were gonna teach me to roar." He says. Kennedy shook her head, wishing the word roar wasnt such an cringe-worthy word these days.

Aiden nods, "We are. You do it by giving in."

"Giving in and letting go. That's how Deucalion taught us control." Ethan followed. Ethan picked up
Scott abruptly. Stiles holds up a finger in thought.

"Hey, you know, that's funny. Ken and I actually tried something like this one time using a heart monitor and lacrosse balls." He says, remembering the experience vividly. Kennedy giggles, remembering as well. "But you're right, beating the living crap out of him is probably a lot better."

Scott looks at the twins, "That's actually the plan? You kick my ass?"

"You're afraid to turn." Aiden states bluntly. "We're gonna make you."

"You turn. Then you kick our asses." Ethan followed their explanation. Stiles and Lydia looked at Kennedy, trying to see how she felt about this plan.

Aiden speaks up. "And then you roar." Scott watches as the former alpha bares his teeth, and his electric blue eyes as he lets out a loud roar.

Ethan shrugged as he looked down at Scott. "You don't think you can let go with us? You think you're going to hurt us?" Aiden stood behind Scott, pushing him towards his brother "Come on, McCall. Give it your all. We can always heal." Scott threw a fist towards Aiden, who swiftly punched him right in the gut. Kennedy winced, practically feeling it for Scott. Ethan punched Scott in the face.

"You're an Alpha. You want to roar like one, you've got to give in full throttle." Aiden shouts. "You've got to be the monster. Become the beast. Become everything you're afraid of."

"That's what gives you power. It gives you strength." Ethan adds. Kennedy crossed her arms. They weren't wrong. The last month, Peter and her have been training on how to control it. She was never bad at it, but Peter told her in his fatherly tone that they're going to work on it anyways.

"Giving into it doesn't make you the bad guy."

Ethan glances at his twin, "So long as you can control it."

"Sometimes control's a little overrated." Aiden hit scott again, and blood spattered on to the ground.

"Come on, Scott. Fight back." Stiles whispered from beside his girlfriend. Kennedy bit at her thumb nail, unsure when too much was going to be too much.

Scott weakly looked up, "What if I can't control it? What if I can't turn back?"

Ethan shakes his head, "Then it takes over. You become Malia." He explains, "You get further and further away from being human. You turn into an animal. Or worse."

"You turn into Peter." Aiden remarks. Kennedy looks away at the mention of her dads name, knowing he will always have a horrible reputation. Scott stood up, wiping the blood off his lips as he charges at them both. Aiden grabs a hold of Scott, slamming him onto a table. Even Ethan stands back, not expecting it. Lydia looks away, hiding being Kennedy's shoulder.

Kennedy watched as Aiden begins to repeatedly hit Scott. Ethan nervously looked at Kennedy, giving her pleading eyes. Stiles and Lydia watched as Kennedy closed her eyes, craning her neck as she followed her dads advice. Suddenly, she looks straight forward, her eyes red and her fangs for show as she lets out a loud roar. Aiden glances up just in time to see Kennedy grab him by the shirt, throwing him off Scott with ease. The McCall groaned as he turned his head, seeing the back of Kennedy. Ethan stood next to her, looking at his brother.

"What? I thought we were helping him."

"You help too much." Ethan followed.

Aiden scoffed, "He's not going to have Kennedy every time he's in danger." He remarked. Kennedy looked back at Scott, seeing the horrible beat up look on his face.

Kennedy looked back at the twins, "You helped him. Alright? We enjoyed your little lesson but I'm glad to know that this was a mistake for all of us." She snapped in annoyance. The twins look at her with unreadable looks. She rose a brow, her inner alpha coming out.

༺❀༻

Kennedy climbed out of the Jeep, wearing jeans, a top that happened to match Lydia's, and a leather jacket. She walked around the front of the vehicle with Stiles, looking at the others who had arrived with them.

Lydia looked between everyone. "Anyone else think we might be doing more harm than good?" She asked nervously.

Scott looks at the red head. "We're trying to keep a father from killing his own daughter." He says, bitterly.

Isaac speaks up, "Actually, we're trying to keep a guy from killing a coyote who is actually his daughter, who we don't know how to change from a coyote back to his daughter."

"And again with the not helping." Stiles snaps, keeping his arm around Kennedy. Isaac gave a fake smile, causing Kennedy to roll her eyes at the two boys.

Scott turns to Allison. "Did you bring it?" The hunter opens up the trunk of her car, easily bringing out her weapon. She let out a sigh, looking between them.

Kennedy smiled, "Okay, we got it handled, hopefully." She mumbled, looking around. "We got this, okay? We can do this." A fun shot rings through the preserve. Scott swiftly  puts his helmet on, hopping on his bike and driving off.

Allison turns. "Isaac," She waves the Lahey along, and Isaac goes into a full sprint.

Kennedy sighed, "They left me here!" She whined. Stiles sighed as he pulled out his phone, calling his dad.

Lydia looked at Kennedy, "What are we gonna do?" She asked.

"Try not to die?" Kennedy shrugged sheepishly. The two girls shared unsure looks, before glancing at Stiles again.

"It took the doll again? What the hell is so important about this doll?" Stiles asked as he looked at the girls. Kennedy looked around the woods, trying to figure out of she could get Malia's scent at all. Stiles's looked up in realization. "It's the doll." Stiles says. He hangs up the phone, narrowing his eyes in confusion. "It's the doll?"

Another gunshot rings through the air. Kennedy looks between the two humans. "I can't stay here."

Stiles nods, "You go find Scott, alright?" The couple kiss, and Kennedy sprints towards the woods.

The wind ran through the Hale girls hair as she followed the sounds origin. She looked at at the ground, stumbling as she heard the loud yell of Isaac. She looked down, seeing a bear trap. Going to fast, Kennedy jumped over the trap. She stumbled, falling onto her knees as she looked up. Mr. Tate stood there, holding his gun. Kennedy looked to her left, seeing Malia with the baby doll. The Hale stood up, hearing a whirring sound behind her. She turned around, catching the tranq dart in her hands. From a distance, Allison gasps as she realizes, for probably the first time, she missed a target.

Kennedy turned back to Malia and Mr. Tate. "I can't throw a party if I'm dead!" She hisses. "Just shoot the damn guy," Kennedy kneels down to give Allison a clearer shot.

And it works.

Just as Mr. Tate goes to pull the trigger, a dart flies into his shoulder. He dizzily looks behind him, seeing Kennedy step out of the shadows. He stumbles, before passing out completely. Kennedy throws the dart to the side, not needing it herself. She looks back at Allison and Isaac, giving the two a cheery thumbs up.

"She's gone!" Allison yells out for Kennedy. The Hale looked back, seeing the coyote making a run for it. Her eyes turned red as she picked up her pace, beginning to run off.

Allison and Isaac looked at each other, as well as Kennedy's retreating figure. Isaac breathed heavily, "She'll find her." He said reassuringly.

Kennedy approached a hill, jumping down abruptly. She looked over, seeing Scott running into sight. She gave a half-smile, the two of them running once again.

"I know where she's going!" Kennedy yelled. "The car! She's going to the car!"

Scott looks ahead, analyzing their path. Suddenly, his eyes turned red and his claws were bared. "I'll take a short cut!" He yells. Kennedy's eyes widen as she sees the werewolf formation of Scott. Her brown eyes turn into their Alpha red. Malia runs around the forest, Kennedy close behind her. Scott sees the car, running at full speed before jumping in front of it. Kennedy slid to a stop, landing on her hands and knees as she looks up. Malia snarls, digging her claws at the ground. Kennedy saw Scott slowly look up, letting out a deafening roar. Kennedy closed her eyes tightly, her face changing completely as she let out a following howl, as did Isaac from a distance.

Malia's eyes turned blue as she suddenly stopped. The coyote backed up slowly, falling to the ground. Kennedy exhaled sharply as they saw the coyote change. Into a girl.

Malia looked up at them, her eyes filled with confusion. Kennedy stood up, Scott doing the same as they stood next to one another. Malia looked at herself, analyzing her hands. She was human again. She looked back at Scott and Kennedy, who's eyes turned brown. Malia looked around in disbelief.

Kennedy smiled, letting out a breathy laugh as she stepped forward again. Malia shrunk back in fear, watching the girl hold out a hand. "Hi, Malia. I'm Kennedy."

Malia looked at the hand in confusion, looking back up at Kennedy. Something about this girl gave the Tate a sense of security. Safety. Something told her that, despite her years of being alone, she could trust Kennedy. Scott watched Malia take Kennedy's hand, slowly standing up. Kennedy smiled kindly, turning to Scott with an expectant look. Scott cleared his throat, sliding off his jacket to give to the newly turned human.

"We're going to get you home, okay?" Kennedy whispered. Malia looked down at Kennedy, before reaching down for Kennedy's hand again. The Hale smiled, "I'll keep you safe." She whispered. Malia smiled back, and Kennedy blinked back tears as she helped the girl walk out of the woods, Scott close behind.

༺❀༻

"So youre a werewolf?"

Kennedy smiled at Malia, nodding her head. "And you're a werecoyote. Way cooler, by the way."

Malia shrugged, "Well you're also an Alpha, so that's kind of cooler." She pointed out. The two girls had spent their entire afternoon together. Malia found comfort in the presence of someone like her. And Kennedy felt happy to be with someone who didn't care about things like packs, killers, and other things. They could be two supernatural people without all the surrounding drama.

"Okay, okay, fair point." Kennedy laughed. "But if you want, I can show you all of the werecreature tricks I've learned." She adds. Malia's eyes light up.

"Really?" The Tate asks. Kennedy nods, and Malia pulls her in for a bone crushing hug. "Thank you, Kennedy,"

The Hale patted her new friends back. "Call me Ken, or Kenny, or any other nickname you can think of." She said, pulling away.

Malia paused in thought. "What about," She looked around in curiosity, trying to find a nickname only she could call Kennedy. "K?" She looked over at Kennedy, who frowned in confusion.

"Like the letter?"

"Yeah! I call you K, you call me M." Malia followed. She slouched her shoulders, "It's stupid, isnt it?"

Kennedy shook her head. "I love it, M," She hummed. Malia smiled sweetly, the two girls looking at the door as Mr. Tate walks in.

"I brought snacks." He said awkwardly, holding a tray of cheese, crackers, and sliced meat. "I hope this is good,"

The Hale girl took the tray. "It's amazing, thank you," She chimed a she placed the tray between herself and Malia. "Do you want to stay and chat?"

Mr. Tate waved his hands. "Oh, no, I have some stuff to discuss with Sheriff Stilinski." He replied, "You two have fun." Kennedy waved goodbye as he walked out the room.

"Okay, now I have to tell you all about twilight."

༺❀༻

Kennedy sat on Stiles's bed, fiddling with the boys hand. "We did it," She said softly.

"Yeah, we did," He replied. "And I can read now."

Kennedy nods, "And Scott can kick ass and Allison can actually shoot a target." She followed, "We get a Norse God and we'll be the avengers."

"And what would you be?" Stiles asked with a raised brow.

"Black Widow, obviously."

Stiles chuckled, leaning in and kissing the girl softly. "I love you, you know that?"

"And I love you." Kennedy followed, running her fingers through his hair. "What about that date?"

The human boy smiled, standing up off the bed. Kennedy watched as he opened his closet, shuffling through things. Kennedy jumped as he turned around, throwing a blanket at her. "Get in the Jeep."

"Why?"

Stiles grabbed another blanket, turning back towards her. "Because we are going on an ice cream date."

Kennedy stood up, instantly wrapping the blanket around herself as she watched Stiles look for his keys. "And blankets are involved, why?" She asked, grabbing the keys off the bed before he saw them.

"Because you and I are going to the lookout, duh." He explained. Stiles searched his room, trying to find his keys to no avail, "And it's cold, and I dont want to bring you 50 sweatshirts so we are bringing," He paused, turning around to see Kennedy holding the Jeep keys with a smile. "Blankets."

And that's what they did.

Kennedy ate her ice cream, looking over at Stiles as he scarfed down his, the two of them sitting on the jeep as they watched the stars. It was peaceful, something both teens needed after all of the recent chaos. The Hale girl leaned back in thought. "When I was little, my parents liked to take Cora, Derek, and I on the roof while Talia was sleeping." Stiles looked over, seeing the nostalgic smile on his girlfriends face. "We'd just sit there, watching the constellations while my mom told us each one."

"I literally can't imagine Peter being a nice dad to anyone,"

Kennedy laughed under her breath. "Sometimes I cant either." She confesses. Stiles purses his lips together, realizing he must have hit a soft spot. Kennedy had to live with the fact her dad had done all of those horrible things, and his reasoning was vengeance for not only himself and his wife, but for her. Deep down she blamed herself, even if she'd never let it come to surface. But she'd always blame herself, and Stiles just had to show her it wasnt her fault.

"Ken, I'm sorry," Stiles begins, but Kennedy shook her head slowly, almost done with her ice cream now.

"You're right, you know." Kennedy stated. Stiles frowned, unsure what she meant. "He's not the same. Not like how he was." Kennedy looked up at the night sky, thinking about her dad. "Before the fire, Dad was a douche. But, stereotypical. He was the bad boy with the soft spot for the girl next door and their daughter. He was such a good dad," Stiles watched as she looks at her hands, fiddling with her fingers. "And now, as much as he tries, he isn't really a dad."

Stiles looked down, "Then what is he?"

Kennedy shrugged, "A shell of a dad," She whispered. Stiles watched the sad look on her face. He reached over, intwining her hand with his. Kennedy slowly looked up, her eyes searching his.

He didn't need to say anything. Him simply being there was enough for her. She leaned on his shoulder, letting him wrap his arms around her. Everything about it was comforting, being with one another. It was calm.

The calm before the storm.
