"Where is it? Where did it go?" Stiles asks, looking around. Scott pants, not sure.

The two boys back up, "That won't hold, will it?"

"Probably not." Stiles replies.

The two don't say anything for a second, and then a girl with brown hair pokes her head in. "We should probably stop standing around." She mutters. Before they can say anything, the sound of a howl inside the building catches them off guard. The three begin to sprint down a hall to a near by class.

"The desk." Stiles says. Scott nods, the two beginning to push it.

Kennedy steps forward. "Stop, wait." The two stop, looking over. "The door's not gonna keep it out."

"We know." Scott breathes.

Kennedy speaks up, "I am definitely cancelling this friendship! No more!" She hisses, "I am so over alphas and werewolves."

Stiles ignores the girl shaking his head. He sighs, "It's your boss." Scott looks up, confused. "Deaton, the alpha? Your boss."

"No."

"Yes, murdering psycho werewolf."

Scott shakes his head. "That can't be." He attempts to argue.

Stiles scoffs. "Oh come on. He disappears, and that thing shows up ten seconds later to toss Derek 20 feet through the air?" He shrugs sarcastically. "That's not convenient timing?"

"It's not him. "

Kennedy groans, running a hand through her long hair. "Scott, he just killed Derek." She reasons, stepping closer.

"No, Derek's not dead." Scott argues, shaking his head. "He can't be dead."

"Blood spurted out of his mouth, okay? That doesn't exactly qualify as a minor injury." Stiles snaps. "He's dead, and we're next."

"Okay, just," Scott looks down. "What do we do?"

Stiles looks at Kennedy, who shakes her head. "We get to my jeep, we get out of here, you seriously think about quitting your job, good?" Stiles and Scott move to the windows.

Kennedy speaks up. "No, they don't open. The school's climate-controlled." She reminds them, staying by the desk.

"Then we break it." Scott replies.

"Which will make a lot of noise." Stiles adds, sending him a look.

Scott pants, looking around the window. "Then, uh, then we run really fast." Scott lets out a sigh as he realizes just how far away the car is. "Really fast." Kennedy shakes her head, looking around. "Stiles, what's wrong with the hood of your jeep?" Kennedy looks through the window, frowning in confusion when she realizes something is wrong with Stiles's keep.

"What do you mean? Nothing's wrong."

"It's bent." Kennedy frowns, walking over. The hood looked almost like it had been ripped off. However, it was so dark, Kennedy couldn't tell.

"What, like, dented?" Stiles asks.

Kennedy moves next to the two boys. "No, I mean bent. "

Stiles frowns, flashing the light towards his car. Kennedy stands in between the boys, staring at the bent hood. "What the hell-" Before Stiles can finish his question, something flies through the window above their heads. Stiles grabs Kennedy, pulling her below the window as Scott kneels down too. Stiles wraps his arms around her, shielding the girl with his body. He moves his flashlight, watching the object slide across the floor. "That's my battery." He mumbles, getting up to move.

Kennedy grabs on to her friend. "Stiles, he could be right outside!" She hisses, pulling him back.

"He is right outside." Stiles snaps.

Scott leans over, "Just let me take a look." He says. Kennedy leans against the Stilinski, who clutches onto the girl tightly as they watch their friend slowly look out the window. This felt like a horror movie, and they were going to die.

"Dammit, I'm gonna die first," Kennedy whined.

Stiles looked at her in confusion. "What?" He asks.

Kennedy breathes heavily, "The hot girl is always one of the first people to die." She mutters. Scott and Stiles both scoff, not surprised Kennedy said that.

"Anything?" Questions Stiles.

Scott shakes his head, "No." He whispers, continuing to observe their surroundings.

Kennedy sits up, "Is this the moment we run?" She looks between the two boys.

"Yeah," Scott answers, grabbing the girl and his friend and pulling them to their feet. The three of them walk into the dark hallways of Beacon Hills High, the long halls seeming scarier to Kennedy than she remembered. "This way," Says Scott, beginning to walk to their right.

"No, no, no, no." Ushers Stiles, "Somewhere without windows."

The girl scoffs, "Every single room in this place has windows." She rebuked, throwing her arms in the air.

"Or somewhere with less windows." Stiles adds, looking at the two.

Scott thinks for a moment, "The locker room." He suggests.

"Yeah," Stiles mumbles, the three run down the halls. The boys's shoes squeak against the floors as Kennedy's boots quickly clicked as they ran to their newest location.

When they finally get their, Kennedy sighs, "We have to call our dads." She says to Stiles.

He looks at her, wide eyed. "And tell him what?"

Scott shrugs, "Gas leak, a fire, whatever. If that thing sees the parking lot filled with cop cars, it'll take off." Kennedy nods, agreeing with Scott's statement.

"What if it doesn't?" Stiles hisses. "What if it goes completely Terminator and kills every cop in sight, including both of our dads?" He looks at Kennedy, who's shoulders slouch in defeat.

"They have guns."

"Yeah, and Derek had to be shot with a wolfsbane-laced bullet to even slow him down, you remember that?" Stiles snaps back.

Scott sighs, leaning back in thought. "Then we, we have to," Kennedy looks around, "We have to find a way out and just run for it."

"There's nothing near the school for at least a mile." Stiles points out.

Kennedy looks up. "What about Derek's car? As long as that thing didnt steal more batteries the cars fine, right?" She emphasized, looking between her two friends.

Stiles nods, "That could work." He chuckles, "We go outside, we get the keys off his body, and then we take his car."

"And him." Scott adds.

"Fine. Whatever." Stiles shrugs, not caring about that part. The three make their ways towards the door. Stiles reaching for the handle, until Scott grabs his wrist. "What?"

Scott looks up, "I think I heard something." He whispers.

"Like what?" Stiles asks.

Scott shushes him, listening closely. He pushes them back, Kennedy biting her lip as she looks around. "Hide," He says finally. Stiles looks around, opening a locker. "Stiles, no!" But he can't argue any more, and opens a locker himself, closing himself in. Kennedy looks around nervously, before squeaking as a hand grabs her, pulling her into a locker.

Her chest collides with Stiles, who puts a hand over her mouth as he hides his flashlight. He pulls her as close to him as possible, praying that they'll be fine. Kennedy felt her heart speed up as she looks up, her eyes close to Stiles. She felt his breath on her cheek, and she felt a weird feeling in her stomach, like it had just done a back flip. Stiles watches as a man walks by their locker, until stopping, and opening Scotts. The man screams as Scott screams, Stiles swinging open his locker and Kennedy stumbling out. "Son of a bitch!"

"Quiet!" Stiles pleads.

The janitor scoffs, "Quiet my ass, what the hell are you trying to do, kill me? Both of you get out."

Stiles grumbles, "Will you just listen for half a second, okay?"

The janitor pushes the two boys, "Not okay. Get the hell out of here right now." Kennedy follows her friends out of the locker room.

"God, just one second to explain-"

"Just shut up and go." The janitor says, cutting off Stiles again. Just as Kennedy walks past the janitor, he is yanked passed her. Scott grabs the girl, pulling her out of the doorway as it slams shut. She screams as the janitors body is pressed up against the door.

"GO GO GO!" Stiles shouts, pulling Kennedy and Scott along.

Kennedy runs as fast as her legs allow, following her friends as they push against an exit door. "What the hell?" Stiles mutters.

Scott fits his head through the crack. "It's a dumpster." He says in realization.

"He pushed it in front of the door to block us in." Grumbles Stiles. "Come on, help me."

Stiles attempts to push the door, but Scott pulls him away. "Stop!" Kennedy grabs Stiles and Scott, pulling them both along.

"I'm not dying here. I'm not dying at school." Snaps Stiles. They were trapped with now real way out, and Kennedy wasn't sure they'd last hiding in the school until Monday.

Scott and Kennedy walk side by side. "We're not going to die." Scott follows.

"God, what is he doing? What does he want?"

"Me." Stiles and Kennedy look over at Scott. "Derek says it's stronger with a pack." The McCall explains.

Stiles throws his arms in the air. "Oh, great. A psychotic werewolf who's into team work." He says sarcastically. "That's beautiful."

Kennedy looks out a window, stopping in her tracks. "Guys, look," The boys look, seeing the alpha. It was clear it had seen them too, as it begins sprinting towards them.

"Ken, run!" Scott shouts, pushing her to run in front of him. The three sprint back down the hall, Kennedy's ears ringing as she hears the windows smash behind them. She swings open the doors, scrambling down the stairs with Scott and Stiles behind her,

"Where am I even going!?" Kennedy shouts, taking a turn.

Scott grabs her wrist, "Boiler room, come on!" He says, now leading the way. Stiles grabs onto Kennedy as well, careful not to lose each other as they run to a set of old lockers. Kennedy and Stiles hold their breaths, letting Scott poke his head out to se the creature. Kennedy grips Stiles's hand tighter than ever, and he grips hers just as tight.

Scott turns back to them. "What?" Mouths Stiles.

"Go." Scott says, Stiles and Kennedy take no time to run the other direction.

"All right, we have to do something." Stiles says as they rush into a room.

Scott looks over. "Like what?"

"I don't know. Kill it, hurt it, inflict mental anguish on it. Something."

Kennedy rolls her eyes, "This isn't Star Wars-" She cuts herself off, watching as Stiles and Scott pull her behind a door. She looks at them with crazy looks as Stiles pulls out a pair of keys. "What are you doing?" She hisses.

Stiles is quick as he throws the keys in a random direction, the alpha running after them as they swing the metal door shut. "The desk. Come on, the desk."

The two boys push the desk against the door, the alpha attempting to open it. "He can't," Scott pants, looking at his friends with a smile.

"Great, can we go now!?" Kennedy says, waving them along. The boys nod, and Scott hops over the desk.

Kennedy and Scott begin to walk away, but stop when they see Stiles. "What are you doing?" Scott asks.

"I just wanna get a look at It."

Scott looks at him with wide brown eyes. "Are you crazy?"

"Look, it's trapped, okay? It's not gonna get out." Stiles purses his lips as he looks up at the door, hearing its growls. "Yeah, that's right, we got you," Kennedy slaps his shoulder, pulling him back. "I'm not scared of this thing. I'm not scared of you." The monsters hand slams against the door. "Right, 'cause you're in there, and we're out here. You're not going any-" Stiles stops talking when they hear a loud crash, and the three hear loud thumps above them. The ceiling bends and creaks, until one of the tiles falls down. The three break into a sprint again, getting the hell out of there.

Kennedy walks down the halls, "Listen, I'm going to go to the lobby, and call someone."

Stiles shakes his head. "Are you crazy?" He hisses.

Kennedy stops. "Meet me there in five, we can think of a new plan!" She says.

"Wait. Do you hear that?" Scott asks, stopping their conversation.

Stiles shakes his head. "Hear what?"

Scott listens closely, "It sounds like a phone ringing." Stiles sends Kennedy a confused look, but she just shrugs. "I know that ring. It's Allison's phone."

Kennedy frowns, pulling her phone out of her pocket as she walks down the hall. She clicks on Allison's contact, who answered her on the second ring. "Kennedy?"

Scott snatches the phone from his friends hand. "No, it's me, where are you?"

"I'm in the school looking for you, why weren't you at my place?"

Scott follows Kennedy and Stiles up the stairs. "Where are you right now?"

"On the first floor." Allison replies, confused.

"Where? Where are you exactly?"Stiles looks at Kennedy, who gives a soft reassuring smile. The whole night had gone horrible, thus far, but the smile visibly calmed Stiles down enough.

"The swimming pools."

Scott nods, "Get to the lobby. Go now." He tells her.

"Okay, okay, I'm coming."

The trio rush to the lobby, just as Allison does. "Why did you come? What are you doing here?"

Allison frowns. "Because you asked me to." She replies, looking at her boyfriend. Kennedy narrows her eyes, turning to look at Stiles in confusion.

"I asked you to?" Scott asks, clearly having no idea. Allison pulls out her phone, opening a message from Scott telling her to meet him at the school.

Allison purses her lips. "Why do I get the feeling you didn't send this message?" She asks warily. Scott hands her back her phone, a worried look on his face.

"Because I didn't."

Stiles speaks up. "Did you drive here?"

"Jackson, did."

Kennedy's eyes widen. "Jackson's here too?" She asks, looking at Scott and Stiles.

Allison nods. "And Lydia, what's going on? Who sent this text?" Her phone rings, and she answers it. "Where are you?"

The door swings open, Lydia and Jackson walking in. The two girls hang up their phones, Lydia sighing. "Finally. Can we go now?" Before anyone can answer, a loud thump is heard over the groups heads. Kennedy lets out a shaky breath, and she feels something grab her hand. She looks up to see Stiles, and she sends a soft smile.

"Run!" Scott shouts, pulling Allison along. The group sprint up the stairs, the sound of crashing behind them signaling the alpha was there. Kennedy pushes her legs to go faster, her and Stiles bursting through a set of doors into a classroom. "Help me get this in front of the door." Scott yells at Jackson.

Stiles looks up, seeing the tall windows. "Scott, wait, not here."

"What was that?" Allison asks.

Lydia looks around, "What came out of the ceiling? "

The group begin to stack things in front of the door, Stiles and Kennedy trying to stop them. Stiles talking. "Can we hang on one second, please?"

Kennedy rolls her eyes. "Hey, assholes!" She yells, her voice booming off the walls. The group all spin around, looking at her and Stiles.

"Okay, nice work. Really beautiful job, everyone. Now," Stiles turns his body. "What should we do about the 20 foot wall of windows?" He asks. Jackson sighs as Scott tosses his hand to his side.

"Can somebody please explain to me what's going on, because I'm freaking out here. And I would like to know why." The Argent turns to her boyfriend. "Scott?"

Scott pulls away, unsure what to say. Stiles and Kennedy look at each other. "Somebody killed the janitor." Stiles blurts.

"What?" Lydia asks.

Stiles nods, stepping over. "Yeah, the janitor's dead."

Allison scoffs, "What's he talking about? Is this a joke?"

Kennedy looks at her. "If this is a joke, do you think we'd be running for our lives?" She snaps, looking at her friends.

"Who killed him?" Jackson asks. Kennedy purses her lips, turning away.

Lydia shakes her head slowly. "No, no, no, no. This was supposed to be over. The mountain lion killed-"

Jackson cuts the strawberry blond off. "No, don't you get it? There wasn't a mountain lion." He explains to her.

"Who was it?" Asks Allison. Kennedy closes her eyes, leaning against the window. "What does he want? What's happening?" Allison looks at her boyfriend, "Scott!"

The McCall turns to look at them all. "I don't know." He stutters. "I, just. If, if we go out there, he's gonna kill us."Kennedy stops listening, looking in the metal of a chair. She see's her reflection, deformed and different. Her blue eyes red and her hair a disheveled mess. It seemed to be that way a lot recently. Kennedy breathes heavily, something surfacing in her mind.

"Go, Bunny, go!" Yells the father as the little girl tries to ride a bike without training wheels for the first time. The little girls light up shoes pushed against the pedals, her brown hair moving in her face, catching her off guard. The little girl squeals as she loses balance, herself and her bike falling onto her right side.

Her father jogs over, pulling the bike away from the crying eight year old. "I'm never gonna be able to ride a bike like Derek and Cora!" She cries, throwing her hands at her side, defeated.

The father chuckles, sitting on the ground across from her. "Bunny, do you think Derek and Cora learned how to ride a bike their first time?" The girl looks up, shrugging. "When Derek was learning, he started going so fast, he went into the road. He didn't know how to stop, and ended up going into a ditch!" The little girl gasps, giggling as her dad smiles up at her. "Nothing ever comes easy, Bunny, but when you're like us, it doesn't need to."

"Because we're special, right, Daddy?" The little girl asks, her big blue eyes looking up at her dad.

He smiles down at her. "You're special, Bunny. So, incredibly, special."

"Kenny!"

The girl gasps, turning around as Stiles grabs her shoulders. "We need to go," Kennedy looks to her side to see the door shaking. "The kitchen, the door out of the kitchen leads to the stairwell." He says to the group.

"Which only goes up." Scott adds.

Stiles watches as the barricade shakes. "Up is better than here." He mutters. The group of six rush to the door, and quickly up the stairs. Kennedy and Lydia open the door to a science room, the group following them inside.

Stiles grabs Kennedy, pulling her out of view from the door as Scott shoves a chair under the door, listening closely. The low sound of growls echoes through the halls, Lydia slapping her hand over her mouth in fright as its shadow creeps by. Scott looks up, "Jackson, how many people can fit in your car?"

"Four, but I'm sure we can fit six, if someone squeezes on someone's lap."

Allison looks over. "Four? I barely fit in the back." She retorts.

"It doesn't matter. There's no getting out without drawing attention." Stiles explains, still holding Kennedy close.

Scott turns around. "What about this?" Kennedy and Stiles follow their wolf friend to the blue door. "This leads to the roof. We can go down the fire escape to the parking lot in, like, seconds." He explains.

"That's a deadbolt." Says Stiles.

Kennedy looks up, "Okay, but the janitor has a key." She points out.

Stiles scoffs, "You mean his body has it." He says to her.

"We can get it." Kennedy blurts. "The thing left me alive last time, and Scott can find him by scent, by blood."

Stiles looks at her with an incredulous look. "Well, gee, that sounds like an incredibly terrible idea. What else you got?" He asks sarcastically.

Scott looks at Kennedy, knowing she was right. Something was telling him, telling both of them, that Kennedy was safe, even if they didn't know why. "We're getting the key." He says, the two pushing by.

Allison stops Scott, and Stiles grabs onto Kennedy. "How do you even know it will work?" Stiles asks her.

"Stiles, the alpha has been leaving those stuffed animals from that little girls room for me. They're trying to tell me something, and I don't think they're going to kill me, at least not until I figure out what the message is." She explains. Stiles looks at her, not convinced. "I can't explain it, but its like, I know its not going to harm me. At least, not in a life threatening way."

"There's gotta be something else," Stiles says, looking between Scott and Kennedy.

"There is." Lydia says, pointing to the chemistry cabinet.

Stiles looks over, "What are we gonna do? Throw acid on him?" He asks, sarcastically.

"No. Like a fire bomb." Lydia explains. "In there is everything you need to make a self-igniting molotov cocktail."

Kennedy raises a brow. "Self-igniting-"

"Molotov cocktail." She repeats. Kennedy smiles at her friend, while the others just stare at her. "What? I read it somewhere."

"We don't have a key for that either." Stiles mumbles. Jackson sighs, breaking open the cabinet.

༺❀༻

The group watches as Lydia finishes her concoction, handing it to Scott and Kennedy. "No. No, this is insane, you can't do this. You cannot go out there."

"We can't just sit here waiting for Stiles' dad to check his messages." Scott explains.

"You could die. Don't you get that? He's killed three people." Allison hisses.

Kennedy leans over the table, "And we're next if we keep sitting around!" She argues. "Somebody has to do something."

Something grabs Kennedy's hand, catching her off guard. She turns to look at Stiles, who pulls her away from the argument happening between the couple. "Ken, you know I hate this idea." He says.

"I know, but you're not going to stop me from trying to save you and our friends!" Kennedy hisses, gesturing to the group behind them.

"And I know that," Stiles admits. "You've never been the type to back down," Kennedy smiles softly, knowing he truly meant that. "Just, promise me, that when you get the keys, and when you get back, you and I will go to your place and watch the original trilogy of Star Wars."

Kennedy chuckles, "I promise," She mumbles.

"Ken," The brunette looks back, Scott waiting by the door. Kennedy squeezes Stiles's hand, pulling away as she approaches the McCall. "Lock it behind us." He whispers, the two leaving the group completely.

Beacon Hills High was darker and quiet, and Kennedy began to wonder just how long she had been there. Scott held the fire bomb in his hand, "So, Allison didn't seem too happy," Kennedy whispers, the two making their way down the hall.

Scott slowly opens the door, leading her down the stairs. "I think she hates me." He mutters.

"Scott, I don't think she could even if she tried." Kennedy replies. Scott pauses for a moment, looking over at her, before walking out of the stairwell. The two stand in the middle of the hall, listening for any sounds. Kennedy looks down. "Scott, look," The teen wolf inhales as he sees a small stuffed doll on the ground. Kennedy walks over, picking it up.

"Is it another one from the Hale house?" Scott whispers. Kennedy purses her lips, tears threatening to spill as she slowly nods. "Ken, we have to keep moving."

The duo eventually make their way to the gym, Kennedy clutching onto the doll as they look around. Scott snaps his head to the side, looking at the bleachers. He holds his hand up, signaling Kennedy to stay put. She pauses, watching as he creeps towards underneath, looking for any sign of the alpha. Kennedy stands there, alone, looking around anxiously as she pleads for Scott to finish up whatever he is doing. Kennedy slowly walks down the gym, matching Scotts steps. She frowns, now even the smell of blood easier for her to sense. She walks around to the other side of the bleachers, watching Scott trying to grab the keys. Suddenly, a sound causes her to look over. "Scott, the bleachers!"

Scott looks up, seeing the bleachers beginning to close in on him. He reaches further, his fingers looping around the keys. Kennedy waves him over as he sprints towards her, rolling out of harms way just in time. "Kennedy, get behind me." The brunette frowns, but she suddenly stops when she looks up to see the alpha just on the other side of the gym. "Come on," He whispers, watching the creature get closer. The McCall throws the bottle, hitting the alpha in the face. However, the pair are caught off guard when it doesn't ignite.

"Jackson didn't give Lydia Sulfuric Acid," Kennedy whispers. "Run," The two turn on their heals, but both are grabbed by their ankles, thrown across the floor of the gym. Kennedy groans in pain, looking over at Scott as the Alpha stands over him. "Scott!"

The Alpha lets out a final howl, so loud the school felt like it was shaking. Kennedy screamed in pain, covering her ears as she stumbled to her feet, grabbing the stuffed doll. The Alpha looked over at her, its glowing red eyes wide as she runs away. The ground thuds behind her as she runs out of the gym, into the halls. Her feet carried her as fast as they could, her body screaming at her. She panted as she opened a door, slamming it shut. She ran into the room, cursing herself.

"Why did I have to go to the pool?"

The doors slam open, the alpha creeping towards her. A whimper escaped her lips as she stumbled back, almost to the edge of the pool. Her breathing was uneven as the creature was now feet away from her. She closes her eyes, shoving the doll in the alphas face. She prepares for something, anything, but theres nothing there. She opens her eyes, shocked to see that there was nobody there. She was completely alone.

Kennedy lets out a breath of relief, the sounds of sirens nearing the school causing her to let out a laugh, her arms falling to her side.

Stiles pushes through the police and EMT's, "Hey, have any of you seen Kenny?" He asks, "Have any of you seen Kennedy Stallard?" Nobody replies, too focused on everything else. "Where the hell is Kennedy!?"

"Stiles!" The boy looks up, seeing his dad walking out with the brunette. He lets out a breath of relief, running towards the girl. He wraps his arms around her tightly, his face buried into her hair. Scott walks over, pausing as he watches the interaction. He thinks about the entire night, how Stiles was constantly protecting her, making sure she was never left behind.

It was always Stiles.

A small smile spreads across McCall's face as he watches the two pull away from each other, Stiles checking the girl for any injuries. She giggles as she looks past him, her eyes landing on her best friend. Scott smiles up at her, glad she's okay. Kennedy returns the same expression, looking back at Stiles and his dad.

"Kennedy Dawn Stallard, you are so grounded!" The group all look over to see Deputy Ben Stallard walking over, "No more sneaking out, no more friends, no more anything. You're grounded until marriage, which you're forbidden from." Kennedy looks up at her dad, raising a brow. "Come 'ere," He mutters, pulling the girl into a hug.
