"God, Timi, can you like disturb me another time?, I'm busy here" I groan for the umpteenth time today

What exactly is this boy's problem?, If I had known, I would have just followed Lanre and Bridget to lunch, I would rather sit through their PDA than have this boy disturb me

"I'm not disturbing you naw, I just want you to explain this topic to me" He pouts pointing to the Chemistry textbook he brought with him

Chaii, he cannot even lie

"See how I've caught you, you don't need help in Chemistry Timi, you're smart, you just want to disturb somebody" I eye him

"Okay fine" He raises his hand up in surrender "But it's not my fault, Bridget and Lanre went out for break and God knows I can't sit through their PDA" He
grimaces

I almost laugh, yeah, I can totally relate

"I really don't want to go to arts class to find Nmeso and I have no idea where Yemisi is, so you my dear, are my only candidate" He finishes

"You are Timilehin, every girl in this set is dying for you, even girls in other sets sef want you"

I stop to think, Wait o, what did I just say?

"Wait, scratch that, every girl except me, like seriously?, ew, what are they seeing in you?" It's my turn to grimace

"I've got the looks, brains and the body, what more could they want?" He smirks standing upright

This boy's ego is too big

"That one is your business" I look around the almost empty class, my eyes land on Dieko, she's sitting on one of the chairs at the back, God knows why she couldn't just sit here, shebi her sit is just right next to mine

And she's writing something, she seems to be so concentrated, ehn, let me help her ministry a little, all that beauty and brain can't go to waste like that

"Oya I have a perfect somebody you can talk to?" I turn back to Timi

"Who?"

"Dieko, Shebi it's Chemistry you want me to 'explain'" Note the air quotes "Dieko's best subject is Chemistry and she knows it like mad, You haven't even gotten to know her that well sef, so go talk to her"

"Ehn" He shrugs "That one is not a problem naw, trust me" He winks

I sigh in relief when he picks up his Chemistry textbook and walks up to Dieko

"What are you doing?" A deep voice I've gotten used to over the week asks making me look up quickly and close the book I'm writing in out of instinct

"Is that like a diary or something?" He raises an eyebrow

"No" I shake my head

"So I can see it then?"

"No" I shake my head again

"Why not?" He pouts

God, his lips are so pink

"Personal" I simply say

"What's with the one word answers?" He asks amused

"Am I not answering your questions?" It's my turn to raise an eyebrow

He grabs a chair and sits beside me dropping his Chemistry textbook on the table, why did he bring that one here?

"I like your hair" He brings his hand up to my head

I hit it away

Is this one okay?, What's there to like in simple black braids?

"Ow, what was that for?" He rubs his hand

Jesus, this boy ehn, so dramatic, I didn't even hit him hard sef

"So it's now you know you like it abi?, We've spoken like twice before now"

"Ehn, I just noticed it" He shrugs

I hiss

"Are you always this violent?" He laughs

I roll my eyes "Please go away"

"Just let me see what's in the book naw"

"I said no ni"

Ahan, didn't they say this boy is the finest in the set?, And he's popular, wait sef, how did Feyi become best friends with someone like him?, ah, levels don change, Feyi is rolling with the popular people, if he's that popular, then why is he not with all those girls that can die over him?, I thought boys love attention

"Please" He pouts

Chaii, his puppy dog eyes

'Dieko, stay strong joor' My subconscious says

I stand up to leave before I give in to him but he holds my wrist with one hand and with the other hand takes the book away from me

Oh no

"Timi don't open that book, I'm serious"

But he doesn't seem to get that I'm actually really serious and he opens it, his eyes scan over the first page, then he flips it to the second one, then the third before looking back up at me

"You write books?"

"What part of do not open the book didn't you get?" I eye him taking back the book

"I was curious naw, sorry"

"Sorry?, I didn't fall down" I cross my arms over my chest

"You're just like Yemi" He groans

Wait

"Yemi as in Yemisi, your best friend?"

"Um, yeahhhhh" He draws out "Anything wrong?"

I almost vomit

"Ew please, never compare me to that girl again, like never" I eye him, his earlier offence forgotten

"What do you have against her?"

Ah, that girl, I've just been here for a week and yet it's like she wants to murder me, everytime during lunch, she'll be shooting daggers at me with her eyes

Omo, I had to stop sitting opposite her o, thank God she does not even sit near me in class, as far as she doesn't sha talk to me, I'm fine, because the day she'll open her mouth and talk ehn, me and her would enter one trouser

But I would rather not say all that to Timi

"Just don't compare me to her, I've sha told you"

"Okay o, are you still angry?" He looks at me unsure

"I don't even have strength to be angry again, I need to get some sleep before break is over"

"Oya wait, have you ever thought of publishing your book?"

"Publishing?, where?"

"On Wattpad, Inkitt, all those apps for writing"

Honestly, I've never thought of that and even right now, I'm not going to do that anytime soon, I can't come and publish the book, when I naw publish it, nobody would like it

"I know what you're thinking, and the book is nice, people are going to love it"

"You've only read like three pages, how are you so sure?"

"Well, for starters, we all know first impression always matters, and that book has a very good start, I can help you sha, you can give me the book so I can read it and then tell you what I think"

"I'm not done writing it"

"It doesn't matter"

Can I even trust this boy?, We're not even friends, why does he want to help me?

"What's the catch?" I ask knowing he can't do this for free

"Huh?" His eyebrows furrow in confusion

"The catch, what do I have to do in return for you helping me with my book?" I explain

"Nothing" He shakes his head "Why would you think I want something in return?"

"Because we're not even friends"

"Oh come on, you're my best friend's cousin, that makes you a friend too, besides" He pauses asif thinking of something "Let me tell you a secret"

"What?"

"Sit down" He orders

I stare at him

"Sit down first naw" He laughs "Abi, do I bite?"

I sit down on the edge of the chair so I can walk away if he tries anything funny

He leans closer bringing his mouth close to my ear

"You're the only girl that doesn't fangirl over me, apart from my best friends of course, and that makes you different" He whispers

My heart skips a bit

Awwnnn, Timi and Dieko had a moment

When Feyi said Dieko knows Chemistry like mad, it meant that Dieko is very very good in Chemistry, you guys get what I mean right?

It's currently past 11pm, I'm actually meant to be asleep because I've been in bed since 10pm, but I couldn't sleep sha so I decided to write something but the sleep has finally come😂
