After putting everything in place after the baby shower I realize how under prepared we are. We don't even have a crib!

"Tom do you have tomorrow off?" I ask suddenly during dinner.

"Yeah I do. Is there something wrong?"

"We need to buy a crib and changing table still..." I groan. I just want to lie down and stretch my back and have my feet rubbed.

"We can go buy them then. Any that you like." He smiles.

"I honestly just want to relax. But that sounds good." I pick up the last of my food and eat it.

"What type of relaxing?" Tom smirks.

"Get your mind out of the gutter! I just want to have my feet rubbed Tom."

The next day we get a later start than we planned because raindrop decided to kick my bladder multiple times. We get to the store and I'm hobbling behind Tom looking at everything.

"Love which crib do you like?" Tom asks after getting to that section. I'm admiring a white crib that's actually really cheap.

"This one! It's perfect!" I smile.

"It's a bit cheap... don't you think our raindrop deserves the best?" Tom rests his hands on my huge stomach and pecks my lips.

"This is the one that we need. It matches the room perfectly!" I pout.

"Alright love. We'll get that crib." He sighs.

"And this changing table." I point to the most expensive one in the entire store.

"Isn't that a bit much for something we are only using for a year?"

"But it doesn't have sharp corners!" I gesture to it.

"Neither does this one." Tom places a hand on a cheaper one that looks exactly the same but just is white.

"Ok Tom.... it is your money."

"Our money but we need some for things."

Tom grabs the crib and changing table and buys them. I just sit in the car pouting but I know I can't be so needy.
