CHAPTER XL:
missing you

WITH HER SKIRT SWAYING WITH EVERY STEP DOWN SHE TOOK, GINGER DESCENDED FROM DOLORES' OFFICE WITH A ROLL OF HER EYES AND IRRITATED EXPRESSION. Why on Earth was that woman so set on making her students upset without any remorse?

Scoffing at the thought even crossing her mind, Ginger clicked her heels down through the classroom and out of it leading herself down the corridors of the castle.

"How'd it go?" Alex fell in step with her.

"I almost threw a cat plate at her," she huffed.

Alexander shrugged patting her shoulder, "almost is better than actually doing it."

"I suppose so, but it doesn't take away from me wanting to do it."

"And? Plenty of people already want to take her into the Forbidden Forest and leave her there." They laughed at his words not even being an exaggeration.

"I sort of wish she would drown in the Black Lake," she interlocked her elbow with his continuing to walk.

Alex thought for a moment. "You were right," He finally said. She turned her head furrowing her sharp brows at him. "We do have problems with wishing people to drown." Their laughs echoed down the hall as they turned a corner with the Great Hall in view. "I did miss you though."

      "Aww," she pinched his cheeks as they neared the hall. "I missed you too."

      He swatted her hands away like flies, "stop doing that!" he whined laughing.

      Turning one last corner, they turned into the Great Hall. Multiple eyes went to them as silent whispers were heard about her finally making an appearance after the incident with Umbridge. Over at Gryffindor's table, a group of four seemed to have taken a pause in their intricate conversation to turn confusedly at the entrance. Their eyes widened and their mouths quirked up at the sight of their favorite Ravenclaw in their year and they stood up slightly rushing to her.

      "You're back! We missed you!" Angelina.

      "Thank, Merlin. I thought you were dead." Lee.

      "Finally making an appearance, I see?" Fred and George.

      The commentary bombarded her all at once but she couldn't help but feel so appreciated for her existence. Although she had lost one along the way, she couldn't have been more grateful to have made such great friends in the past few years.
