Rage, Revolt

"Just be sure to let all your anger out. I'll handle the rest," Sydni instructed Jean as she flew them up to the miner's shaft with what was left of her magic.

"Got it," Jean responded, filled with a hesitant determination. She watched as the miners walked in and out of the shaft, carrying chunks of crystal to be destroyed.

Many of them pretended not to notice the two of them landing, some daring a glance.

"So uhh... what do we do now?" Jean stared at Sydni, who had her hand wrapped around her chin in a contemplative gesture.

"Got it!" Sydni perked up, sending a blast of red energy to the cave mouth.

"Are you suckers just going to idly stand by as the women force you to break your backs with what they could easily accomplish with their magic?" she hollered, raising her energized fist.

"Watch how easy it is for me to lift those crystals," she laughed, using her magic to levitate every broken off crystal chunk in the vicinity.

The men's murmuring built up as more of them began to shuffle out of the cave.

"Well then why don't you just finish our work for us?" one of the men shouted, followed by more of them crying out in fury.

"I would, but none of you seem to want to do anything about it," Sydni snapped back, her hands on her hips as she leaned forward to taunt them.

"You'd rather bend beneath our will than fend for yourselves," Jean seized the opportunity to join in, causing the ground to quake beneath them.

The men began to panic and charge, followed shortly by a blue flaming barrier circling around Sydni.

"So you're the troublemaker?" a fiery voice spat, belonging to a blue haired mage dressed in all black.

"Elvina," Jean backed up. "I can't get scared. I have to fight," Jean gritted her teeth, usurping the ground beneath them to form a shield around Sydni, dispelling the flames around her.

The miners began to toss crystal rocks at Elvina, a sudden burst of orange flames soon joining the mix. One of the miners apparently had a hidden magic.

The two pyros dished out against each other, forgetting about Jean and Sydni's presence entirely.

"Is this good enough?" Jean shouted to a now free Sydni.

"It's perfect," Sydni gave a menacing smile, her aura glowing brightly.

Jean felt a surge swelling inside her. The ground trembled, the whole platform nearly collapsing before Sydni plucked them into the sky.

"Now to bring the fight to Starslayer Manor."
