~*°•°♡Chapter 1: Introduction♡°•°*~

~Twilight Sparkle POV~

When I was a little girl, my parents always asked me about boys. Which boys were cute? Which were funny? Which would I marry? Truth is, I have never had a clue. No boy ever made me feel a certain way. My brother, Shining Armor, urged me to meet his friends, assuring me that with the right guy, I'd be happy. I tried to date guys. But, I never wanted to kiss them. I didn't want to sleep with them. I didn't love them. What was wrong with me? Then, I met her. Her hair was so soft. Her hugs were so warm. She made me sick in a good way. My cheeks would sting. My heart would flutter. My stomach would do flips. Her smile made me dizzy. This is how my parents and brother described love. Was I feeling it? I had to be. And right now, she's sitting so close, and I want to just reach over and...

I'm getting ahead of myself. I should start from the beginning.

One day, me and my adopted brother, Spike, were walking in town and a sweet shop caught his eye.

"Twilight!" he whined, "We've got to go try that place out!"

I looked up and read the sign and sighed. We had been shopping all day and a cupcake did sound good... I held his hand tight as we walked in. We were both put in a trance as the sweet aroma filled our lungs. Spike ran to the counter, practically drooling over the sweets in front of him. I rolled my eyes at him and rang the little bell at the counter. A plump woman entered the room, wiping her flour coated hands on her apron. She had rosey red cheeks and hair that swirled the top of her head.

"Why, hello dearie, I'm Mrs. Cake," she spoke, her voice sounding as sweet as the cupcakes before her, "How may I help you?"

Before I could speak, Spike blurted out, "Could I get the rock candy coated cupcake?"

I blushed, embarrassed by his outburst.

Mrs. Cake chuckled, handing Spike the cupcake, "It's on the house, sweetheart."

"I can pay," I told her, but she shook her head. "First visits are always free!" She smiled.

Spike beamed taking a bite of his cupcake. I got a normal vanilla one. I chatted with Mrs. Cake for a bit until the door busted open. Rainbow Dash, a girl I recognized from classes we had, had rushed in, a curly hair girl not far behind her. Her blue eyes met mine. My heart felt like it stopped. I don't believe in fairytales but... Is this love at first sight?
