It was time. Two days, and Darcy was succeeding. Sasha watched Terri work in the darkness. So much had happened that Anne went through. And she had a feeling there would be much more, even after they won against Darcy.

...if they won.

No. No. She couldn't think like that. This was her mission. She'd save both of her homes. She'd make Anne proud. She'd save Marcy. She'd save Grime. She'd do whatever it took to make her past lives of Nova and Katherine proud.

Terri sighed and turned to Jess and Ally, who were not only fixing Frobo, but also the lights. "Any luck on making it any brighter?"

Jess sighed. "No. Dimly lit is the brightest we can get."

Anne turned to her parents, who were with Sprig and Hop Pop. She felt like this was her fault, but given how much trauma her mind was dealing with at the moment? Thinking irrationally wasn't too far fetched.

But, it wasn't her fault. Far from it. I mean, what COULD she do that Sasha or any of her past lives haven't already tried? Darcy's darkness was inevitable.

But they could bring light. They were stars...both literally and figuratively.

Anne then walked over to Sasha. "So...who's going in to save Marcy? If this machine works..."

Sasha looked to the side before turning. "I-"

"Don't even answer. I'm doing it." Anne said suddenly.

Sasha didn't seem too surprised. She knew that no matter how close she was with Marcy, Anne would do ANYTHING for Marcy Wu. She then laughed. "Why even ask then, Anne?"

Anne gave a weak smile. "G-Gotta bring SOME comedy."

Sasha smiled before she hugged Anne tightly. "I...I'm still so sorry...for everything I-"

"Don't say another word." Anne whispered, hugging her best friend tightly. "You did nothing...I...I should've listened to you. And now? LOOK at you! You were just saving a bunch of people you didn't know just because it was right!"

Sasha smiled a little more. "And...and protected Wartwood, heh."

Anne's eyes widened. "R...Really?"

Sasha nodded.

Anne hugged her tighter. "Sash...oh, you have NOTHING to be sorry for. You're a hero."

Sasha hugged back just as tight, sniffling. "And...we're gonna save Marcy."

Anne nodded. She was scared, praying they would be able to win against Darcy and end this cycle of fighting. She wanted her Mar-Mar back. "Y-Yeah...we WILL."

Terri then stood up. "Okay! I think I got it!"

Anne tilted her head and was handed some kind of wrist device that was almost like a gauntlet. It was styled like her armor. She whistled. "You made all this in THIS light?"

"It's the end of the world. I'm never gonna get another chance to appear flashy." Terri said with a giggle before her face grew grave. "Be careful. You only get one shot, and I haven't properly tested it before. Consciousness transference is a little outta my league."

"It's in SOMEONE's?" Sasha asked.

Mrs. and Mr. Boonchuy then hugged their daughter tightly, with The Plantars joining soon after.

"We'll be right with you, Anne." Sprig said.

Anne smiled a bit. "I know. But stay safe...if Sasha's right? This fight HAS to be between me, her, and Darcy."

"I...I still can't believe this is all happening." Mrs. Boonchuy whispered, seeming terrified. She cupped her daughter's face, as if it was the last time she'd ever see her. She pressed her forehead against Anne's. "P-Please...come back, sweetie."

Anne's hair and eyes went a gentle blue and she nodded. "I will. And I'm bringing back Marcy."

Interrupting their reunion was a sudden rumble. Sasha's eyes widened before she got in front of everyone and summoned a glowing pink shield into her arms and held it high.

A giant laser beam came flying down from the ceiling, being blocked by the shield. That's when the glowing orange eyes stared down.

The Dark.

The Dark roared before smashing its head inside of the lab, but Sasha turned her shield into her hammer and smashed it into the beast's chin.

Sasha then looked at Anne before nodding. "It's time."

Anne nodded before the two flew out, punching and smashing at The Dark as blue and pink light shined across the dark city.

The Dark ROARED, flying high into the air and tail whipping Sasha into a building.

Anne then started dodging blasts and slashes from Darcy's dragon, wishing she knew how to create weapons like Sasha could.

If she could create more than standard weapons...she was totally making a gun.

The Dark opened its mouth, and a large group of missiles came out and fired at Anne.

Anne gasped and suddenly? Dual swords that were made purely out of blue energy summoned into her hands. She smirked and then sliced all the missiles into half, even spinning around into a blue tornado.

The Dark smacked the blue tornado, causing Anne to go flying into the road, and onto the car.

Sasha then came flying in, smashing The Dark's head with her hammer. She then SMASHED one of its horns off.

The Dark screamed, but then grabbed Sasha and suddenly punched her high into the air, flying after her and blasting out a vortex of orange fire.

Sasha regained composure quickly and flew away from the flames. She then screamed, punching The Dark in its center eye with ALL her might.

The Dark roared in agony, beginning to fall through the air. Sasha then grabbed The Dark's tail and began spinning it around in circles before TOSSING it high into the air.

Anne flew next to Sasha and then focused. She suddenly unleashed MULTIPLE glowing blue energy blasts and fired them all at The Dark.

They were all a successful hit, and The Dark lost its horns, arm, and leg. It crashed downwards with a loud SPLASH.

Anne and Sasha looked at each other before nodding and then flying over to where they saw The Dark fall, but it was hard considering the bleak city of darkness that they could HARDLY see through.

The Dark then crashed its head through the water, blasting out fire.

Anne and Sasha just barely dodged, with Sasha summoning her hammer while Anne summoned her sword.

"This thing doesn't die!" Sasha exclaimed, zooming down and smashing 3 more of The Dark's eyes.

It only had 6 left. Which Anne quickly took care of by slashing and swinging.

The Dark finally couldn't take it, sparks and orange energy PULSING out of its body before it FINALLY shut down and crashed deep into the sea.

Anne and Sasha cheered...before they felt an even darker shadow. They looked up and saw Darcy's castle.

And shooting out from it? MULTIPLE dragon like robots similar to The Dark.

"AH, C'MON!!!" Anne screamed before she and Sasha started slicing and smashing through the crowd and into the castle.

The dragons either chased after them or went into the city to cause havoc. Or even flew off to other locations in the world.

Anne and Sasha kept slicing and smashing before they finally blasted their way into the Throne Room. Anne barely landed on her feet, with Sasha effortlessly landing on her feet.

"Where are you, Night!?!" Anne screamed, feeling Heart's voice surge through her brain. That definitely proved Sasha's statement about the reincarnation.

Sasha growled. "Come on out, coward!!!"

"All you had to do was ask..." A familiar voice asked before they were suddenly blasted. Anne crashed into the throne while Sasha crashed into a pillar.

Darcy floated down with a cackle and a grin. Although, her armor had changed just a bit. The mechanical arms that could deploy from her suit now had orange lights and she had some kind of mask that protected the only part that showed Marcy's face. She looked like a cyborg.

Anne growled, standing up. "Y...YOU...!"

"Miss me, Anna-Banana?" Darcy asked with a grin.

"QUIT ACTING LIKE HER!" Sasha boomed, flying up. "IT'S OVER!"

Darcy was silent...before laughing, nearly clutching her stomach before she flew up again. "OVER? YOU CAN'T STOP ME! I CHOSE MY CREATOR'S REINCARNATION FOR A REASON!"

"Heh! All villains say things like that, Darth Vader knockoff!" Anne exclaimed, summoning...a bow and arrow made of blue energy in Marcy's honor.

Sasha clutched two hammers, growling. "We're taking you down! And you ain't coming back!"

Darcy crackled with green and orange energy. "I've nearly conquered your planet...and once I've killed you two and stripped you of your powers? YOU WILL BE THE ONES NOT COMING BACK, ANDROMEDA! NOVA!"

Sasha smirked. "We'll see about that."

The two then flew towards Darcy, and Darcy flew towards them with her flaming saber. Their weapons clashed, and they were surrounding in green, blue, pink, and orange energy.

It crackled and shot around them, even destroying parts of The Throne Room. Darcy pushed against Anne and Sasha, while the two did the same to Darcy.

Darcy then blasted them both with her laser eyes and began slashing at Sasha, who just barely blocked each attack without the handle of her hammer.

Sasha then threw her hammer at Darcy, with Darcy smacking it aside and using her telekinesis to slam Sasha down against the floor over and over again.

Anne then fired a storm of energy arrows at Darcy, already shooting a small piece of one of her horns off.

Darcy just grinned before slashing her sword at Anne, sending out an orange energy burst.

Anne turned her bow and arrow into a sword and swung it, sending a blue energy burst to counter.

The energies clashed, causing a small explosion. Anne then lunged at Darcy, but was then uppercutted high into the air.

Darcy followed her high into the air and slashed her across the chest before slamming her foot into her stomach, causing Anne to crash onto the floor, but Sasha caught her just in time.

Sasha then suddenly fired out a blast of pink fire from her fist, shooting it at Darcy who used her sword to deflect it.

Anne smirked at Sasha, and Sasha did the same back. Sasha then stopped firing at Darcy and began spinning around Anne like a tornado and then throwing her at Darcy.

Darcy growled before clashing swords with Anne. The swords clashed and clashed as blue and orange energy spat out from the blades. They then zoomed around in circles before clashing again.

The two then started zooming around the room as orange and blue blurs, constantly clashing and fighting each other.

Sasha quickly joined in, smashing Darcy in the head. But of course, it didn't do very much.

Darcy just smashed Sasha into a pillar before blasting Anne with all her might.

Anne screamed out, barely pushing back against the energy.

Darcy grinned wide and increased the force with evil laughter, her cape rapidly blowing in the wind they were creating.

Sasha attacked again, only to be smacked back into the pillar.

Anne eventually turned her sword into a shield, now able to push back much more, but not VERY much. She slid back a few times before finally flying into the air and pushing back against the lasers.

Darcy unleashed two of her mechanical arms and they suddenly fired lasers of their own, finally pushing Anne into the wall. She then stopped firing and lunged at Anne, her sword in hand.

Until suddenly? An all too familiar toad hopped in the air and STABBED Darcy in the back, but it only cracked her armor just slightly.

"GRIME!!!" Sasha exclaimed, before turning and seeing the rest of the rebellion.

Darcy snarled and smacked Grime before he could even say anything. "NOT SO FAST!" She boomed, quickly lifting them all with her telekinesis and pinning them to the wall.

They cried out before Ivy screamed out. "AH, C'MON! WE DIDN'T EVEN GET TO DO ANYTHING!"

Only Anne and Sasha were able to break free, zooming towards Darcy and swinging their weapons at her at once.

Darcy growled as she stumbled back. She then grabbed Anne with her mechanical arms, and smashed her with her fists before lunging at Sasha.

Sasha dodged and then smashed her hammer into Darcy's back, causing her to fly into the wall. "HA! FINALLY!"

Anne flew next to Sasha. "Keep her distracted! I'll use the machine thingy!"

"Do you even know how to use it!?" Sasha exclaimed before flying over to Darcy, and beginning to fight her...or at least attempting too.

Darcy punched her square in the face and then blasted her onto the floor. She then looked at Anne and instantly noticed the device she had around her wrist. "So, THAT'S your plan..."

Anne grinned. "Oh, yeah? Whaddya think-"

"Andrias told Strength my weakness, and you plan to use that experimental device to get inside of my hive mind and free Marcy." Darcy then cackled. "It's not going to work. I made sure Marcy won't be able to tell what is real and what is not...besides...the other minds will kill you. Why even try?"

Anne was silent before she glowed a brighter blue than ever. "Because! I'd do ANYTHING for her! And I won't let you take her away from me for a third time!!!"

"Oh, you DO remember a little more of your past life." Darcy smirked. "That will make it all the more satisfying."

She then lunged at Anne, and Anne lunged at Darcy. They CLASHED, a storm of blue and orange energy flying and forming around them. Anne felt a boost, and Darcy did too as they clashed against each other.

Anne then broke their clash and swung her sword as fast she could, with Darcy doing the same before she slashed Anne's hand.

She screamed out in pain, her sword disappearing. Darcy then grabbed her and slammed her knee into her chest before blasting her down.

Anne cried out, causing a crater in the Throne Room's floor. She coughed from the dust and stood.

Darcy laughed. "I'm an all powerful being, Anne! I gave your precious universe it's darkness! I'm the reason so many dark realms and beings EXIST!"

"S-So what? You're saying you're a g-god?" Anne asked, slowly standing up.

Darcy smirked and The Green Gem suddenly started to glow brighter. "Even if I'm not the most powerful? I most certainly AM a god. After all, even GODS can be harmed."

She then blasted again at Anne, with Anne skillfully dodging and pushing a button on the device. It was now or never.

She then flew over to Darcy as fast as she could, punching her in her chest. Somehow, the device began to whir and whiz before? Anne passed out.

Darcy laughed before grunting and floating down to the floor. She held her head before...an 11th and BLUE eye formed. "NO. IT WORKED."

She grabbed her sword quickly and raised it over Anne's unconscious body before Sasha crashed in, swinging her hammer into Darcy's chest and causing her to crash right into her throne.

Sasha's hair and eyes were glowing brighter than ever. She stomped the ground, suddenly having her BODY glow brighter. "READY FOR A REMATCH?"

Darcy grunted before cackling and flying into the air. "As if you think you'll-"

Then? Sasha kept speaking, but with two voices speaking alongside her. Strength and Nova. "YOU WON'T HARM ANYONE EVER AGAIN!!!"

She then lunged at Darcy, who was left shocked for only a second before lunging at Sasha.

The two clashed, with Sasha pushing with all her might.

'ANNE...HURRY.' She thought.

Anne flew through an orange void, screaming before she crashed against hard rock. She grunted before seeing her body was completely blue. She couldn't even see any distinct features of herself.

Her eyes and mouth were completely white, and that was all that could be seen on her face. The rest was blue.

Anne looked around before shivering. "H-Guess it worked...don't worry, Mar-Mar."

She then flew into the air and zoomed around. "I'm coming."

But as she entered a realm that looked a lot like her hometown, she stopped in her tracks. THIS was Marcy's perfect world?

Guess she really did like home...or maybe there was more to it. She noticed a lot more houses were green.

Anne shrugged it off and had a feeling where Marcy would be and flew off...until she was suddenly slashed across the back. She SCREAMED, tumbling onto the sidewalk.

That's when 8 glowing orange beings surrounded Anne, all of them wielding swords or axes. They looked like newts.

The other minds of The Core.

Anne quickly got up and didn't even bother with asking who they were, cause she knew right away. She clashed with one of them, and headbutted another.

"YOU WON'T KEEP ME FROM HER!!!!" Anne shrieked, but her voice was overlapped with Heart and Andromeda's.

She screamed, sending out a shockwave of blue energy and sending away the other minds before she flew off to Marcy's house.

Marcy hummed a happy tune before hearing her parents speak.

"Marcy! We'll be out for a few hours! Be good!" Her mother exclaimed.

Marcy smiled. "I will, Mama!" She called back before sitting down on the couch. She then grabbed a video game controller, a Gameboy, and laughed. "Oh, the classics will always have a special place in my heart."

She started switching through the options before choosing a Mario game and beginning to play. Until that is, she got a text.

Marcy blushed when she saw it was Anne and smiled, taking it into her hand.

Anne: Hey beautiful!

Marcy: Awwwww, Anne! You're the pretty one of the relationship!

Anne: Really? I think you GOTTA be talking about yourself right now. You're obviously the looks.

Marcy: You're such a flirt! XD

However, when a message was about to come? Everything disappeared and turned into an orange void. Marcy's body was completely green, her eyes and mouth white.

"H-HUH!?" Marcy exclaimed, looking around. "W-WHAT!? WHERE-"

"MARCY!!!" An all too familiar voice called out. "MARCY, WHERE ARE YOU!?!"

That's when EVERYTHING came back. Amphibia, Andrias' betrayal, The Core, and her...her possession. This world she'd been living in was fake.

Worry and sadness hit her like a train before she heard Anne's voice again. Marcy snapped out of it and flew high into the air. "ANNE!!!!"

Anne's eyes widened and she felt tears form at the sound of Marcy's voice. Her beautiful and adorable voice. "MARCY!!!!" She screamed, flying towards the voice.

Marcy did the same before...she saw her. She gasped, knowing that by the blue energy and just this feeling in her gut...it was Anne.

The woman she loved.

"ANNE!!!!" Marcy called out.

Anne's eyes widened when she saw Marcy. She felt everything wash away except for herself and Marcy. And Marcy? She was the only thing she cared about.

"MARCY!!!" Anne shrieked for the final time, zooming over as fast as she could. And to her delight?

She fell right into Marcy's arms. She couldn't help herself and began to cry as hard as she could.

Marcy, remembering everything properly now, began to cry herself. "A-ANNE...! ANNE!!!"

Anne sobbed into Marcy's shoulder, never ever wanting to let her go as if she'd fade away if she did.

The two girls cried and cried for what felt like ever, before? Scared that she'd lose her and too happy to even think...Anne kissed Marcy. Right on her lips.

Marcy felt her green face go completely red. She held Anne, wanting to make sure this WASN'T a fantasy.

It was real.

Marcy felt tears stream down before she happily kissed back, wrapping her arms ever so tightly around Anne's neck.

At that one moment, Anne nearly forgot about Darcy and all the pain she had been through. She deepened the kiss, but then remembered what was going on outside the place they were in and hesitantly parted the kiss.

Marcy was a blushing mess. "A-Anne...I...I-"

"I love you, Mar-Mar." Anne whispered. "I-I always have."

Marcy's heart soared and she could've sworn she could melt into a puddle of goo. "A-Anne-"

But then? There was a mechanical screech. They whipped around and saw...The Core, in its old form. It crawled around from the dark puddles on its mechanical legs, eyes glowing a bright orange.

Anne looked at Marcy. "I'll explain later! I promise!"

Marcy nodded. "Y-Yeah! Let's just take care of this guy!"

Anne grabbed Marcy's hand, holding it as their blue and green energy merged into cyan.

She was not going to lose Marcy Wu. Not again.
