Tara was going towards the mandir area but she stopped hearing Meenakshi who was talking and looked up to her talking to Dhruv. She saw a small but genuine smile on his face while Dhruv didn't seem to notice her presence

She watched how he looked at Meenakshi, his face softening with each passing second watching the childlike shine in her black orbs still lost in the moment.

He smiled holding onto her hand, entwining their fingers.

He smiled at her, a hint of affection in his gaze. The world around them seemed to blur into insignificance leaving only the two of them in their own bubble.

Dhruv couldn't help but admire her. Some locks of her beautiful black hair framed her face. Her beautiful black orbs shining, affection and a hint of childlike excitement in their depths.

Dhruv remaind unaware of Tara,s presence. He couldn't help but gaze at Meenakshi, his face softening with each passing moment. He looked at her, truly looked at her, his gaze shimmering with an undeniable tenderness. His eyes tracing the contours of her beautiful face, her fair complexion seemed to glow in the natural light, her beautiful black orbs, as deep as an ocean seemed to carry an ability to peace a soul, shinning wide and bright. Her voice a soothing melody that warmed his heart. He felt he could hear her for hours without getting tired.

However as some of her hair locks framed her face. He couldn't help but reach out, tucking the strands of her hair behind her ear with a gentle touch. Her watched as she suddenly grew cautious. Her eyes dropping, a blush coloring her cheeks.

Her heart quickened it's pace as she felt his touch, filled with warmth as he tucked the strands of her hair behind her ear. She looked at him, their eyes meeting, the gentle smile of hers made his heart skip a beat.

Main aaya aap jaiye.

Dhruv said softly, his
hand reaching up to cradle her cheek. He couldn't help but smile softly at her. Meenakshi shut her eyes for a moment basking into the warmth of his touch, her features relaxed.

She opened her eyes as Dhruv pulled his hand back and smiled.

Jaldi aayega.

Meenakshi said softly, smiling at him.

Hum intezar karenge.

She added. Dhruv heart skipped a beat and he gently nodded.

As she left from there, Dhruv was about to step inside the mandir area but stopped hearing Tara,s voice.

Kahan gaye thy tum?

Tara asked. Dhruv,s face was a canvas of bitterness as he turned.

Tumse Matlab?

He questioned instead, the bitterness evident in his tone

Tara felt her heart clenching rather painfully in her chest. She walked towards Dhruv and gently cradled his face in her palms.

Dhruv kya ho gaya hai tumhein? Hum patni hain tumhari.

Tara said, her voice flattering as she met his gaze.

Dhruv cradled her face in his palms and looked at her.

Patni ho meri?

Dhruv asked, his voice tinged with confusion.

Ha....

Dhruv pushed her away slightly, creating a little distance between them before Tara could complete her sentence.

He laughed, his laughter, a mixture of mockery and bitterness that made her visibly shudder.

Wohi patni jis ka pati subha mara aur patni ne shaam ko puner vivah ker liya.

Dhruv asked, his voice laced with mockery.

Dhruv...

Dhruv held her by her waist and pulled her closer, their foreheads touching.

Mujhse door raho Tara warna acha nahin hoga.

Dhruv said, his voice a dangerously calm whisper that sent a chill down her spine

Tara composed herself and responded, her words as sharp as a knife, cutting through his heart.

Tumhein sach mein lagta hai ke tumne humse prem kiya tha.

The words as sharp as a knife, cutting through his heart. He breathed a gulp of air, gulping the breathe he forced himself to take. His grip flattering on her waist as he looked at her, a gasp escaping his lips as he stared at her in disbelief.

Kya?

He forced the word out of his mouth. He felt his chest tightening as her words sunk in. Suddenly there was a noise in his ears as if something broke, maybe his heart. His grip loosening over her waist and he took a step back.

Suddenly he couldn't hear anything. Everything seemed to be blurring around him. The words rang in his ears, emotions and memories tangled within him, pulling his heart at an unwanted, painful resolve.

Bilkul nahin Dhruv. Tumne kabhi humse prem nahin kiya, kabhi nahin.

Tara,s accusation hung heavy in the air, her finger pressing against his chest.

A wave of shock mingled with bitterness swept over him as he gazed at the women he once loved.

Sach Tara maine kuch nahin kiya.

Dhruv,s declaration hung heavy in the air, though trembling but it seemed to catch her breath. A wave of guilt swept over her as she took a step forward.

Dhruv humara matlab...

DOOR HATO!!!

Dhruv screamed at her, gathering all the courage he had.

Everyone came hearing the scream. Meenakshi gasped in shock watching the anger shimmering in his eyes.

Tum mere toh kya kisi ke pyaar ke kabil nahin ho Tarapriya.

Dhruv spat at a fear stricken Tara. Everyone gasped hearing him. Meenakshi,s mind raced to process Dhruv,s words. She noticed Dhruv trembling and pushed her concerns aside taking a step towards him.

Dhruv beta kya hua?

Rajmata Saraswati asked walking towards him, her hand gently cradled his cheek, her eyes clouded with worry.

Isse poochiye.

Dhruv said emotionlessly and left from there.

As Dhruv entered the chamber. He trembled on his steps. His breathing stopped, sweat dripped down his forehead, his hands clenching and unclenching at his sides. His heart beating wildly in his chest. The shivering in his body increased. He stopped backwards, trembling. His chest tightening and he felt caged, caged in a small box, never to be free.

He shut his eyes, panting and gasping for breaths.

Koste hain hum iss gadhi ko jis ghadi hum tumse mile

Tumse prem kerna humari sabse badi bhool thi.

Tumne kabhi humse prem nahin kiya kabhi nahin.

The weight over his heart felt heavier. A wave of coldness swept over him making him shiver. His eyes still shut, tears pooled into them, his lashes grew heavier as a few tears rolled up on his cheeks.

Bas...

Dhruv let out a small gasp. The shivering in his body and the weakening of his legs increased and he gave up. Falling on the floor as the words played in his mind. He continued panting and gasping for breathes. His hand reached out blindly hoping to get a grip over something, a thing so that he could try to get a grip on himself. A soft hand held his, in a firm grasp. He forced his eyes open and the tears made their way out.

Meenakshi was shocked and worried seeing him having a panic attack. Her heartbeats fastened and she sat on the floor. Wiping the tears with a tender touch, she cradled his face in her palms. The warmth from her hands was an entirely different contrast to the coldness that had seeped deep into his bones.

Sans lijiye Dhruv ji. Sans lijiye.

Meenakshi,s words were a distant murmur in his ears, her worry for him was evident in her voice and eyes.

He looked at Meenakshi, his eyes were a mixture of pain and uncertainty as he checked out.

Rokiye inhein. Rokiye.

Mera Yakeen kijiye, maine kuch nahin kiya.

Dhruv,s voice trembled. He chocked on his breath and coughed.

Aapne kuch nahin kiya.

Meenakshi whispered in his ear. She reached out and cautiously circled her arms around his broad shoulders pulling him into a tender embrace. Her hand reached up, fingers sinking into the black, velvety strands of his hair, scratching his scalp.

Hum aapse bahot prem kerte hain Dhruv ji.

Meenakshi murmured into his ear, her voice filled with warmth. His shivering seemed to decrease a little but his pants and gasps still remainded.

She pulled back slightly. Her hand cradling his cheek with a blend of tenderness and affection.

Acha Dhruv ji ek baat bataiye woh geet kya tha jo apne humein sunaya?

Meenakshi asked masking the nervousness she felt, in an attempt to distract him.

Yeh raatein yeh mausam...

She stopped making a face. Her eyes searching his, her hands cupping his face tighter.

Aage kya aata hai hum bhool gaye.

She said, a note of confusion and irritation coloring her tone.

Nadi ka kinara
Yeh chanchal hawa.

Dhruv sang, slightly fumbling on the notes, his voice was feeble, tiny but it'll work. She took a breath as a small wave of relief washed over her and she sang.

Kahan do dilon ne, ke mil ker kabhi hum, na honge juda

Dhruv,s trembling seemed to reduce as he sang with her, slightly fumbling on the notes.

Yeh raatein, yeh mausam, nadi ka kinara, yeh chanchal hawa

She smiled, singing the next lines.

Yeh kya baat hai aaj ki chandani mein

Her grip on his hand tightened as she made him stand, their eyes meeting and the world around them seemed to blur into insignificance as they sang, their notes seemed imperfectly perfect.

Yeh kya baat hai aaj ki chandani mein
Ke hum kho gaye Pyaar ki ragini mein.

Dhruv looked at her as he sang, his trembling stopped. His breath started to turn normal. He sang, this time perfectly, not fumbling on the notes anymore.

Yeh bahon mein bahein
Yeh behki nigahein
Lo aane laga zindagi ka maza

Their eyes locking as they sang together, Dhruv seemed to be forgetting about the panic attack and Meenakshi sighed in relief.

Yeh raatein, yeh mausam, nadi ka kinara, yeh chanchal hawa

Dhruv,s hands gently cradled her face as he sang, their eyes still locked with each other,s

Sitaron ki mehfil ne kerke ishara
Kaha ab toh sara jahan hai tunhara

Meenakshi sang, lost in the haze of the moment as they swayed in perfect harmony.

Mohabbat jawan ho
Khula aasman ho
Kare koi dil arzu aur kya.

Dhruv held her hand and spun her around, her back hitting his front as they sang in unison.

Yeh raatein, yeh mausam, nadi ka kinara, yeh chanchal hawa

She swang around blindly, her hands gripping his shoulders as their eyes locked. Her one hand reached up to cup his cheek as he sang.

Kasam hai tumhein tum agar mujhse roothe
Kasam hai tumhein tum agar mujhse roothe
Rahe saans jab tak yeh bandhan na toote

Meenakshi smiled, pressing her forehead against his as she sang, the musical notes seemed to convey her unwavering devotion towards him.

Tumhein dil diya hai
Yeh vaada kiya hai.
Sanam main tumhari rahungi sada

She raised herself on her toes and placed her head on his shoulder. Dhruv snacked his arms around her waist holding her waist in a protective yet tender grasp as they sang in unison.

Yeh raatein, yeh mausam, nadi ka kinara, yeh chanchal hawa
Kaha do dilon ne, ke mil ker kabhi hum, na honge juda

Dhruv smiled, a wave of warmth washed over him as he basked into the warmth of her embrace, the fragrance of jasmine and sandalwood of her hair filled his senses calming his inner turmoil, providing him a sense of belonging and security.

Meenakshi smiled, wrapping her arms around him. She sighed in relief realizing that she has successfully brought him out of his panic attack.

Hum aapse bahot prem kerte hain Dhruv ji.

Meenakshi,s words were like a balm to his wounded spirit. Dhruv smiled closing his eyes as he allowed himself to embrace the truth her words held.
