Part 10

TW: blood, vicious cut (I'm not sure if that's a TW but whatever)

Tommy pressed his finger to his com and screeched "GET OUT OF THERE! DREAM IS COMING!" the hooded green figure was stalking towards the front door when Tommy heard Ranboo reply "Tommy, start flying home. We'll meet you there." you won't have to tell me twice! Tommy thought as he flew as fast as his wings could carry him. He saw his friend appear out of nowhere further ahead of him, out of the sight of Dream.

Suddenly there was a whistle coming from below him, and a flash of pain in his side as fierce as thunder. He screamed in agony and saw that a sharp metal thing had whizzed past him and caught him in the side. It hadn't impaled him, but it was pretty close.

Tommy realized he was falling, and when he flapped his wings, pain flashed from one of them. The sharp thing had caught his wing too. He hit the ground with a thump and his head hurt like fire, as he crashed head-first. he saw his friends whirl around at the noise. Tommy heard Tubbo gasp. "Toms! Are you alright?" Tommy gave a breathles laugh. "C'mon, Tubbs. Do I look alright?" Tommy realized that Ranboo was laying on the ground, unconscious. The teleport must have taken a lot of energy. Tommy thought groggily. Honestly, Wil and Techno might have to carry two people instead of one. He knew Fundy and Bad probably wouldn't be able to help, considering that Tommy was bigger than Fundy.

Bad was more height than brawn. "Tech! Help me get Ranboo on your back. I'll carry Tommy." Wilbur said. That was smart, Tommy decided. Ranboo was bigger than Wilbur, and Wil wouldn't be able to carry him. Tommy watched hazily as Wilbur hefted Ranboo onto Technoblade's back, and whimpered in pain when Wilbur accidentally bonked his mangled-up side with his elbow. "Hey, Wilby, be careful. That hurts." Tommy whined, half loopy with pain. He saw Wilbur exchange an amused glance with Tubbo. "What did you call me?" said Wilbur.

Tommy realized what he had said. I'm fucked. "Wil...bur?" Tommy tried to escape the question. "No, no you didn't. You said, Wilby. You said fucking Wilby." Tubbo objected. Tommy sighed, then regretted it as another spasm of pain flashed through his side. gingerly he took a closer look at his side.

Beginning of TW

Apparently, it had been his lower ribs, not his side, and It looked like he had been slashed by a sword. There was a jagged tear through the skin and muscle, and blood was still dripping out of the wound. And when Tommy looked closely, he could see flashes of white under the torn muscle.

End of TW

His wing wasn't as bad. It was just a cut. Big enough to stop him from flying, but not so big he would lose a lot of blood. In fact, it had stopped bleeding, and the blood was crusting up. They walked for what seemed like hours, and after a little bit, dots started swimming in his vision. They got bigger and bigger, and they engulfed him in an abyss of black.

"Ripped tendon...not being able to fly... lost a lot of blood...hope he makes it." Tommy woke to a conversation. He could only catch bits of it. "I'm going to go check on him." Tommy heard the voice and he wondered who is that? His mind was fuzzy, and he couldn't recognize the voice. It definitely wasn't mother. The person who walked through the doorway had black wings and blond hair. He wore a forest-green cloak and he had a crow on his shoulder. An avian. Tommy thought. The person's eyes lit up. "Tommy! Your awake!" he reached to give Tommy a hug, but Tommy flinched back. "Who... who are you?" Tommy asked, confused. The avian took a step back, surprise showing in his eyes. "What do you mean? It's me, Phil! Your dad!" Tommy looked at him in confusion. "No, you can't be. Mother and I lost you years ago."

Phil's wings drooped. "You really don't remember? Tommy, I'm sorry, but... your mother is dead." he handed Tommy a piece of paper. Tommy's eyes skimmed over the note, sadness wrapping him in its vast wings. "She...she's dead? If you know where the house is, I guess you really are my father. But... why does my side hurt? And why is it bandaged?" Phil sighed. He waved his hand for Tommy to follow him.

Tommy stood up and followed the avian through the doorway, which led to the living room. There were five people already standing in the room. Tommy's wing drooped slightly. He had been expecting to see someone, but he didn't know who. Who was I hoping to see? And why do I feel like I know these people? "Tommy, these are your friends." Phil walked over to the humans and whispered something about Tommy not remembering them. Tommy looked at the people. All of them appeared to be hybrids, except the one with the fluffy brown hair. Tommy took a cautious step toward him. Phil had said these were his friends, so... Tommy grabbed the yellow sleeve of the sweater the hybrid was wearing and dragged him over to the couch.

Tommy made him sit down and he started playing with the fluffy hair. There was a snicker, then the whole room erupted with laughter. Tommy looked around, confused. What was so funny? "What?" he said indignantly. It was the black-and-white one that responded. "We're sorry, Tommy, but it's just funny to see you playing with Wil's hair." so that's his name. Wil. Tommy wondered why it sounded familiar. Just then, a short goat hybrid walked into the room.

Tommy recognized him. "Tubbs?" the hybrid's head shot up. "TOMMY!" he ran over to Tommy and hugged him. This is the person I wanted to see when I first entered the room. Tommy realized. The others were staring at him like he had just grown a second head. "What?" Phil looked shocked. "You recognize him?" Tommy nodded. "Maybe it's because he spent the most time with him." the black-and-white one suggested. The others nodded their agreement. "If he remembers Tubbo, then he will probably remember the Facility." the tall black one said. (don't take that badly.) the fox nodded. "Your probably right, Bad. what if we take him there, just to see it? It might trigger his memory." Tommy felt a shiver pass through him as the Facility was mentioned.

The image of a sturdy stone building flashed in his head. "Let's do it," Tommy said. "If it's as important as you say it is, It might give me back at least some memories." the black one still looked doubtios. "We just got out of there. I don't want to go back." he protested. Wilbur nodded. "We'll go as a small group. Tubbo, obviously, and we'll take Phil and Ranboo as well." the fox looked indignant that he was being left out, and the large piglin looked... well, he didn't look like anything. He had a monotone face. The black one looked relieved. "Let's go now," Phil said. "So we reach the Facility before dark."

* * *

"Are we there yet?" Tommy whined. They had been walking forever. It was Fucking awful. "Yes, actually, we are." just as Tommy heard the words, a looming gray building appeared over the trees. When Tommy saw it, images flashed before his eyes. Tubbo, handing him a bandana. Himself, jumping off a platform in an effort to fly. Phil hugging him when he first entered the building with Tubbo. Ranboo. And as quickly as they came, they were gone. Tommy looked, toward Phil. "I saw some of them," he whispered. He looked at the black-and-white one. "Ranboo." he knew the name now. He turned to Tubbo. "Thank you for the bandana," Tubbo whispered in reply. "Your welcome." they moved closer and Tommy saw a flash of green. Who... Tommy couldn't finish the thought. Another image flashed before his eyes. The man with the mask. Dream. As they neared, they saw a single window. When they looked through it, there was a cell. My cell. Tommy realized. More images.

The shock on Phil's face as Tommy called him Dadza. Phil giving a cookie to Ranboo. Tommy seeing Tubbo and Ranboo holding hands.

He turned to Wilbur. "That was my cell, wasn't it? I recognize the platform." Wil nodded, and Tommy felt relief. They got closer to the front door, and Tommy saw a flash on the ground. When he went to investigate, he found a sharp metal thing. This is what hurt me. The rest of the memories came flooding back.

Seeing Ranboo teleport. Finding home. Phil hugging him once again as he learned about his mother's death. The bucket hat. Pushed off a cliff. Flying in the air. Wilbur asking for help. Breaking out the other hybrids. Bad. Fundy. Techno. Flying in the air, screeching into a communicator. Agonizing pain. Metal. Falling. A burst of pain in his head. Calling Wilbur Wilby. The memories came so fast it was giving him a headache.

He looked up. Tubbo was there, hugging him. "This... this is what hurt me. This is why I can't fly." Tubbo responded with a nod. "I'm sorry. It was my fult. It was my idea to break out the hybrids." Wilbur's voice said behind him. Tommy turned and gave a small laugh. "It's okay. I forgive you," his eyes flashed. "Wilby." Tommy knew how Wil would react, and it was worth it. His face was a mix of surprise, shock, and trying to smother a smile. Tubbo and Ranboo started laughing, and Phil smiled. Tommy knew that nickname was going to stick.
