Nah. First off they look exactly alike. Color scheme, cape, hairstyle, heck even the pattern on his shirt looks like her corset. One of Ruby's outfits even had crosses like his. This is because of his influence on her life, but don't you think there ought to be a real blood connection?

I mean, if weapons are a reflection of who you are...other than Ozpin's literal reincarnations Qrow and Ruby are the only two characters to share a weapon.
And they are both masters of it.

That's the stuff I've already seen pointed out. But I want to talk about this

Qrow wears a ring on his ring finger.
Maybe it doesn't matter, but I think it does.

We know Qrow is a flirt, but I don't think he'd leave his actual wife and still wear a wedding ring. No, if she existed she must have died.

Qrow's a huntsman just like his supposed wife.
She stayed to protect Ruby for a long time, leaving her with a trusted team member: Ty.

Qrow couldn't be home a lot so he didn't make an effort to be her father, he didn't want to let her down.

His wife was Ruby's mom: Summer Rose.

And when his wife died he decided to help his daughter achieve her dream to become a huntress, so that she could protect herself.

This my friends, is also why Qrow is an alcoholic. Because his wife died and he's not allowed to grieve in front of his own freaking daughter. She's not allowed to know.

Also perhaps Summer is Salem? I know that's probably wrong but I'm having flashbacks to when I posted about Rose = Pink Diamond and look who's laughing now.

Or perhaps Summer is...Summer! Like the summer maiden! But if she's dead than it's totally possible that Ruby is the new summer maiden.

She wears a cape, has a big ol scythe, is associated with death/battle, and is heavily associated with the word grim.

This my friends is our Grim Reaper.

The Grim Reaper he reaps and is grim.
But Ruby reaps the monsters of Grimm.
Either way I will loose it if she gains that nickname.
