Some time the next day, Tails was making a new invention. This invention was made so that Mobians could see the past.

Just when Tails made a tiny adjustment, the machine went crazy. Tails yelled for Sonic, but the machine's loud noise was what made Sonic come. So did Sonia and Manic. But what made Tails more lucky was when Sonia came with Starlight, Sonic came with Silver and Shadow, and Manic came with Scourge.

The machine made some kind of portal. This made everyone back away from it. A figure came out of the portal and the machine exploded.

Starlight thought that she knew who came out of the portal. She ran to the figure and helped it stand up. When Starlight saw the figure clearly, she started crying a little and hugged the figure.

Everyone was confused. Shadow walked up to Starlight. When he saw the figure's face, he too hugged it.

The figure was Maria as a hedgehog.

At first, Shadow wanted to make sure that this was the real Maria. So he asked her questions about her life. Maria ended up talking about the Ark and how she used to play with Shadow until they found Starlight and started to play with the both of them.

Shadow was in shock. But to Starlight, it didn't matter, she had her child hood friend back.

Of course, everyone asked who Maria was. -_-'
