PART 2: Theo Starlit

Theo sighs softly looking down at the guild from where he was sitting on the railing of the first floor. Directly below him on the ground floor was the bar where Mirajane and Kinana were serving other members of Fairy Tail. His back was against a pillar with one leg stretched out on the railing and the other dangling over the side. His arms were crossed as he watched the guild.

It had been three days since he had returned from his job and the guild had celebrated his return for two days straight; and most members were still suffering from hangovers. "I'm already bored" he sighs resting his head against the pillar glancing back at the S-Class request board behind him. He was tempted but the only S-Class requests up would last months and he wanted to stay for at least a month before disappearing again.

During the celebration he found out that Laxus had been banished from the guild. He was annoyed at that, he had gotten on fairly well with the Lightning user but he did expect it by the way he acted. After hearing what happened he decided it was a suitable punishment.

He also learnt that Gajeel Redfox and Juvia Lockser had joined Fairy Tail. He was furious when he found out that Gajeel was the main reason why the former Fairy Tail building was destroyed. If the Iron Dragon Slayer had been in Theo's sights he would have attacked without thought but both of the former Phantom Lord members were out on a job and had yet to return. Theo was looking forward to their return, he had a bone to pick with them.

But at the moment...

"So bored" Theo sighs looking down at the guild with a small chuckle. Natsu and Gray were at it again, literally butting heads and yelling insults. "I'm about to be entertained" he grins watching with interest.

"Excuse me Theo"

Theo blinks turning around to see a small blue haired teen known as Levy McGarden. "Let me guess you want to know if my Rune's are the same as your Solid Script?" Theo says un crossing his arms. Levy nods slowly her eyes wide at Theo figuring out what she wanted to ask.

"I guess it is similar. No offense but Rune is more powerful and more complicated to use. It's more like Freed's but I don't do enchantments. So wait, it's not like Freed's? I'm confusing myself" Theo scratches his cheek thinking over what he just said. Levy chuckles softly "It's good to have you back Theo" she waves walking back down the stairs.

Theo watches her walk back to the main floor turning his attention back to Natsu and Gray only to find them both on the ground with bumps on their heads; probably done by Erza. "Naw, their goes my entertainment" He groans and decides to just go on a normal job.

He stands up on the railing stepping off and landing in a crouch on the bar in front of Lucy, who screams and falls off the bar stool. "What the hell?! Were did you come from?!" Lucy shouts standing up and glaring at him.

Theo wordlessly points up at the first floor, hopping of the bar and fixing his jacket. "Do you make a habit of falling from places?!" Lucy continues shouting making Theo chuckle, it had been a while since someone yelled at him. "Only on days that end with Y" Theo grins gently patting her head as he walks past, heading to the request board.

He pulls a random request off the board without even looking walking to the bar and waving it at Mira. As a child he never got along with the S-Class Take Over Mage but in years since he became S-Class he began to call her a friend. "Oh Theo are you going on a job?" Mira walks over to him taking the request out his hands.

"Yeah I'm bored" Theo says crossing his arms on the bar smiling at Kinana as she walks past.

"Did you even read this, Theo?" Mirajane asks drawing the Starlit child's attention back towards her. Theo shakes his head "You know I never read them, why what did I pick this time?"

Mira hands him the flyer "Taking down a dark guild that's going on a rampage in a village" she says pointing at the flyer. Theo looks down noticing that the request flyer was a map with 'SAVE US FROM THE DARK GUILD!' sprawled over it along with the reward price and a arrow pointing at the village.

"Oh well that's helpful" Theo grins stuffing the flyer in his pocket. "I'll be going now Mira-what do you want?" Theo raises an eyebrow catching the fist of Natsu Dragneel as the pink haired dragon slayer tries to punch him.

"Let me go with you!" Natsu grins while Theo sighs.

"Whatever, don't get in the way"

"So exactly how did one person tagging along turn into five people and two cats?" Theo raises an eyebrow while staring at the group sitting across from him.

Erza Scarlet, Lucy Heartfilla, Wendy Marvel, Gray Fullbuster and a very sick looking Natsu Dragneel were sitting in a trains's apartment along with the two exceed cats Happy and Carla. Theo was standing up against the window his arms crossed.

"Well we're a team" Lucy says reaching over and poking Natsu who only groans. "Natsu's team" Happy says chewing on a fish.

"Team Natsu? Well that's interesting" Theo says tilting his head as the train slows down before finally stopping. "IT STOPED!" Natsu suddenly springs back to life running off the train with the others trailing behind. Theo chuckles following after them.

After a few hours the group arrive at the village finding it completely destroyed with a large symbol of a roaring lion scorched into the earth.

"What happened here?!" Lucy shouts eyes wide.
"We're is everyone?" Gray says looking around the buildings in shock.

"No...That symbol! How is it here?! It's impossible!" Theo shouts falling to his knees his hands balling into fists clenching the dirt.

"Theo? What's wrong?" Wendy crouches beside Theo gently touching his shoulder. Erza, Gray, Lucy and Natsu turn around to look at him gasping in shock at the tears in his bright eyes.

"That symbol...it's the Roaring Lion guild! A dark guild. The guild that destroyed my family! The guild I killed.."

12 Years Ago

"Mummy, Daddy! Were are you?" A six year old Theo Starlit cries holding onto a small tattered brown bear.

All around him was destruction, buildings crumbling, fire's raging and people fighting. Flashes of magic was all around along with evil laughter.

"Theo!"

Theo sniffs turning around to see his father running towards him. "Daddy!" Theo shouts moving towards his dad but he only makes two steps before his dad screams in pain falling into the ground a few feet from Theo. "Daddy! No!" Theo shouts running towards his fallen father.

"Theo! No! Stay away!" A voice shouts out, belonging to his mother. She was running towards him from behind almost a entire street away.

"This is so much fun! The Roaring Lion guild has come!" A man holding a sword laughs stomping down on Theo's fathers head. He was completely shadowed by the fire roaring behind him. "Leave my Daddy alone!" Theo shouts tears poring out his eyes as he punches the mans leg with his tiny fists.

"Huh? The brat wants to play?! Well let's play!" The man raises his sword swinging it down at Theo.

"THEO!"

Arms wrap around his small form turning him around and shielding him. Long silky midnight hair enters his vision before his mothers scream echoes around him.

His mother falls to the ground holding Theo close to her chest. A warm wet substance surrounds him shortly followed by cold drops of rain.

"Mummy?" Theo turns around to find his mother laying over him panting in pain with blood staining the corner of her mouth.

"Hahahaha! This is even more fun!" The man with the sword laughs standing above Theo and his mother. "Time to end this!"

"Don't touch my Mummy!" Theo shouts scrambling out his mothers arms and standing in front of her with his arms stretched out to the side; the sword slowly making it's way towards his chest. Time slowing down around him.

Theo screams a single word at the top of his voice a bright light forming around him. The man with the sword screams falling back as the light spreads throughout the small village.

"STARLIGHT!"

The next second Theo falls to the ground panting as the lifeless body of the man with the sword falls on the wet ground. "Wh-at? Did...Did I....do..this?" Theo looks around finding everyone around was dead or dying, burns covering their bodies.

"Th...e..o"

"Mummy" Theo crawls to his mothers side staring down at her. A large gaping wound in her chest. The starlit child starts crying again clutching his mothers hand.

"Remember My Little Star, your magic can be both good and evil. It is up to you on how you chose to use it; for Light or Dark, each as powerful as the other" The women was smiling. Tears running down her cheeks, mixing in with the rain pouring over her. Her eyes shadowed by her dark midnight hair. "Oh My Dear Little Star, Mummy is so proud of you" her hand shakily reaches up and touches the cheek of the crying child above her. With a smile her hand falls onto the pavement with a small splash.

"Mummy? Mummy? Wake up. Wake up! Don't leave me! MUMMY!"
