He swallowed, and Swara tilted her head, "What is wrong with you?"

"Nothing!" he snapped, then shook his head, "I'm sorry, okay? I don't mean to be so weird, I just...this is one of those things... there's...there's a girl."

Her heart froze... there's a girl... three words, and she felt like her world was being demolished before her very eyes.

Be strong, be good, be supportive, for him.

"Alright," She nodded, "Go on..."

"I really care about her," Sanskar looked away, his eyes moving over her shoulder to look at the trees on the landscape, "...but I don't know how to tell if she feels the same way about me or not."

"I see," Swara wanted to slap her hand over his mouth and stop him from saying anymore about this someone, but she knew she couldn't do that, and she didn't have any choice but to handle this like she would with anyone else, her voice belaying a confidence she didn't really feel, "You just have to take the risk, you just have to be honest...after all...nothing bad ever happens from telling the truth-at least as long as it is done with love."

His eyes moved back to hers, his expression pensive and serious, as if he was carefully mulling over her words, and she saw the resolve build...preparing yourself, preparing to let him go, to see him leave to go confess his love to this someone.

Her eyes widened, looking down when he reached forward, grabbing her hand in his own, and he laughed nervously, his eyes darting to and from her own, his words soft, "I've had a crush on you since we were kids, but..." he took a deep, shuddering breath, "...but, I've always been scared to say anything."

"M-me?"

His eyes crinkled at the edges as he smiled, leaning forward a bit, "It's always been you."
