"Lord have mercy." Sadie opened her eyes not too long later, and IV in her arm as she was in the back room.

"Jesus." Sam leaned over her with worried eyes. "You scared me half to death."

She leaned down and hugged her, Sadie leaning against her face. "Did I black out?"

"Yeah, out of no where." Sam pulled back, scanning her face over. "Were you drinking?"

"No, I swear." the Vesper girl promised, slowly sitting up as her entire body felt relaxed and tired. "It feels like I smoked eight joints."

Sam grabbed her face to look in worry. "Are you okay? Do you feel sick?"

"Just really tired." Sadie admitted, rubbing her eyes as she held her knees. "What happened out there? Do I get to compete?"

"Devon fought Tory for you. She lost." Sam frowned as Sadie did too. "If you can get back out there soon, they're gonna let you compete still. But, they can only give you so much time."

"How long have I been out?" Sadie looked in worry, tightening her gi.

"About thirty minutes. You woke up but then we let you sleep." Sam shook her head, grasping her hand. "Look at me."

"I am." Sadie met her eye. "I don't know what happened."

"Did you get a full night sleep?" Sam asked, earning a nod. "Did you feel nauseas or anything?"

"Nothing." Sadie agreed. "Sam, I need to-"

"Okay, retrace your steps." she stopped her with a quick nod. "From when you woke up."

Sadie inhaled. "I woke up. I texted you. Peed and brushed my teeth. Ate avocado taste and left over egg rolls. Downed two things of gatorade. Got my gi on. Yelled at Eli from the window. Got my bag together. Talked to my mom about politics. Showed up here. Texted you again. Greeted the team. Set my bag down in the locker room. Went to pee again. Came back. Downed my water bottle. Gave myself a pep talk. Then walked out."

Sam looked pale. "The shared locker room with all the dojos?"

"I-" Sadie began, shaking her head. "I was the only one in there."

"And someone could have seen you go in." Sam gave a serious look, shaking her head. "Someone could have snuck something into your drink."

Sadie blinked. "Like a roofie?"

"Exactly. That would explain the dizziness and how tired you are." Sam said, it was clear it really bothered Sadie.

"Yeah, some people use it to assault people without them knowing." Sadie said, she got off the bench with a disgusted look. "How do we prove something like that? I mean, what else is there to explain?"

"There is nothing else. That's all that makes sense if you were perfect fine before." Sam nodded, she grabbed Sadie's shoulders with a small nod. "Look, we'll think of a plan to figure it out."

"You think it was Cobra Kai?" Sadie stared at her. "Tory wouldn't do that. I know you guys don't get along but-"

"I don't think it was her." Sam shook her head. "Who taught her not to fight fair?"

"Kreese?" Sadie blinked, inhaling as she shook her head. "How could we prove that?"

Sam checked the clock. "The next break is in three rounds. We make a run for it after that."

"I saw Terry Silvers car." Sadie nodded her bead, staring at Sam. "I don't want to get you in trouble."

"I don't care." Sam held her face. "If they drugged my girlfriend, who cares?"

Sadie had to smile, holding Sams arms that were on her face. "Okay, next break."

"Are you sure you're okay to fight? If you're too tired-" Sam began, getting a head shake.

"I can do this." the Vesper girl confirmed as she stared into her eyes. "Im not gonna give them the advantage of cheating me out."

Sam nodded, leaning in and pressing her lips onto hers.

"Are you sure you're okay? You can tell me if you're not." Johnny spoke when Sadie showed up again, getting herself together and keeping liquids down. "Seriously. But, if you can fight-"

"I've got this." Sadie nodded her head, passing him the water bottle again. "I'll step on those snakes in the grass for you."

Johnny grinned, patting her back. "All right. Get out there and show her what you've got."

Piper wasn't someone Sadie knew well, only ever seeing around school. But, that didn't matter. All that mattered was she was wearing a Cobra Kai gi. They bowed to the ref, then each other. Sadie was still wobbly, but her vision was clear enough. Piper swung at her first, Sadie blocking it quickly as she kicked her way. Piper shoved Sadie's leg away, throwing her own up and hitting her across the face. "Point."

Sadie held an annoyed face at the hit, facing Piper again as she gave her a smile. "I thought you were suppose to be some big shot?"

Sadie frowned her eyebrows at her. Piper shrugged with a minor grin. "You don't seem that tough to beat."

"Fight!"

Sadie hopped off the mat, twisting around and kicking Piper in the face. "Point!"

Sadie grinned as Piper held her face. "What was it you were saying?"

"Fight!"

Piper tried to kick Sadie, the Eagle Fang latching onto her ankle, ducking under it and making Piper stumble back. The new Cobra Kai swung at her, having it blocked as Sadie throw her fist, having it blocked. She did it over and over again, getting faster by the minute as Piper got confused on which direction her fist were coming, getting hit in the chest. "Point!"

"Woo!" Sam cheered.

Demetri and Eli gave a cheer from next to her. Sadie and Piper took their marks one final time. "Fight!"

Piper swung her fist at Sadie, having it blocked quickly. Daniel watched her do so, raising his eyebrows when Sadie used the wipe the car motion to knock Piper far away from her hands. Piper did a flip next to Sadie, suddenly doing back hand springs all around her. Sadie looked in confusion, because she was quick. "What the hell?"

"Hey! Ref!" Johnny yelled in disbelief. "How's this allowed?"

He ignored him, Sadie spinning in a circle as Piper continued to do so. She paused, staying completely still as she watching her flip in a circle two more times before the Eagle Fang timed it perfectly, lunging for her. Sadie's arms wrapped around a moving Piper, taking her onto the mat and landing ontop of her. She hit her in the chest one final time. "Point! Winner!"

"Whoo!" Sam cheered loudly, Sadie's hand being thrown into the air as the Vesper girl smiled.

Sadie joined the rest of the team, being congratulated. She looked over toward Cobra Kai, seeing Terry staring her way before going back to talking to Kenny.

"For our final quarterfinal match, we have a real snake fight. It's Cobra Kai versus Cobra Kai." Daryl announced over the mic as Robby and Kenny got onto the mat, opposite each other, bowing to the ref, then each other.

Sadie hadn't expected tiny Kenny to do so good. He was fast on his feet, and Robby missed his tactic and getting hit right in the chest. "Point!"

"Damn." Sadie looked to Miguel as they shared a similar look.

Kreese called a time call, Johnny watched with the rest of them. She found Sam across the mat, the two sharing a look, knowing the break was after this fight.

Robby and Kenny were back on their lines, standing opposite each other ones more. Robby had a new look in his eye. With a quick swing of his leg, Robby got Kenny right on the side of the face and won the point. They took their marks once again, this time actually both putting up a good fight as Kenny dodged and blocked Robbys hits and kicks, still not quick enough to avoid the hit Robby gave right to the chest.

Sadie shook her head as Kenny slowly got up, rubbing his chest as they took their marks once again. Kenny got angry , running too quick and trying to hit Robby, having him easily moved out of the way and getting shoved to the side. Robby kicked Kenny in the back the next time around. Sadie shook her head. "He's so small."

"Very small." Miguel agreed.

Robby kicked off his back leg, kicking Kenny extremely hard in the face as the majority of the crowd winced. Sadie looked in disbelief. "Jesus! Did you have to kick him that hard!"

Robby looked in her direction, Sadie rose her eyebrow. "Yeah, i'm talkin to you, snake in the grass!"

The ref gave a loud whistle to call her off, Johnny encouraging her to stand down as Kenny hurried off. Robby went to go with him, being stopped by Tory. Daryl announced the fifteen minute break, Sam and Sadie locking eyes once again.
