"Why are you even worrying? Do you honestly think Sams gonna care if her dad doesn't like you?" Miguel asked as him and Sadie sat behind the dojo together, his hands holding her arms to help her stretch forward.

"No, but still." Sadie huffed honestly, switching to pull his arms. "I mean, he was talking about her college life like it was the most interesting thing in the universe. And I gotta make up a lie and say i'm looking up north for colleges."

"I still don't understand why everyone's being so stupid and judgmental." Miguel said honestly, the pair reaching to the side. "So what if there's half naked pictures of you on the internet? The naked body isn't sexual until someone makes it sexual."

"Yeah, say that to your boyfriend and all the college admissions." Sadie rose her eyebrows bitterly.

Miguel flushed a little. "Hawk isn't my boyfriend."

"Sure acts like it." Sadie gave a knowing look, popping her back. "Are you even cool with me talking about this? I know you and Sam use to go out."

"What? No, i'm totally cool. You were my friend before Sam, and besides.." he trialed off with a shrug.

"Besides I have a boyfriend." Sadie mocked his voice.

"He isn't my boyfriend." Miguel shoved her, making Sadie fly backwards on her back. From the way she laid, she could see Eli walking toward the pair. "Hey, Hawk."

"Hey." he said back, looking down at Sadie from where she laid on the ground. "What are you guys talking about?"

"Sadie's worried Daniel doesn't like her because she hasn't gotten into a college yet." Miguel answered for her, Sadie sitting up with a look of defense. "We're also popping our backs."

"You don't think Daniel likes you? Didn't he, like, watch you grow up?" Hawk asked, sitting on the other side of Miguel.

Sadie looked at him in disbelief. "Why are you talking to me?"

The red haired boy rose his hands in surrender. "It's my fault you haven't gotten into any colleges."

"Yeah, exactly." Sadie rolled her eyes at him. "Daniel didn't watch me grow up, Sam and I were just friends when we were young. Doesn't mean he forgot everything I did in the past year."

"No, but i'm sure he sees you're trying." Miguel pointed out to her. "That's gotta count for something."

"Miguel's right." Hawk agreed with a nod, staring at her. "You're Fangs, Eagle Fang is named after you. You've got sharp teeth and fight like you've been training for years. I know you're gonna crush whatever Mr.LaRusso throws at us today."

Sadie cracked a minor grin in his direction, twisting her shoulder to pop it.

"Compared to Sensei Lawrence's training, todays gonna be a vacation." Mitch spoke up, eves dropping on their conversation.

"Who's going on vacation?" Daniel emerged from the dojo, looking over.

Miguel jumped to his feet, helping Hawk up as they both grasped Sadie's arms to pull her up. "Uh, no one. What do you got from us today?"

"Come here." Daniel grinned in their direction. Miguel encouraged Sadie to go first, leading the group of boys toward the pond Daniel was standing before.

"Look at those rocks!" Sadie gapped, slapping Miguel's arm as she looked at the pretty rocks.

"Look, I know you've all been taught to strike first. What do you do when your opponent is faster then you?" Daniel kept his eye on each of them, making a mental note at the girlish, happy expression he saw across Sadie's face.

"Are those real koi?" Mitch took notice of the fish.

"Yes, they are real." Daniel answered Mitch, glancing over at Sadie as he watched her eye the fish. "Sadie."

She snapped her head up. "Sorry."

"Don't apologize." he shook his head at her. "You want one?"

The Vesper girl looked in confusion. "The Koi fish?"

"Complete the assignment today and you get one." Daniel gave a small shrug, making her try to hide a grin. "Todays lesson is simple. Catch a fish. But since I know you Eagle Fangs like a little bit of competition, we're gonna make it interesting. So the first to succeed, will have the honor of leading class all week."

Sadie tried to force herself to look interested, but like the rest, it didn't seem to interest them. Daniel sighed. "And you also get to pick out what flavor Gatorade I buy next."

"Aw, hell yes!" Mitch shouted into the air. "Hope you all like Glacial Freeze."

"Are you slow? Just say the white one, Assface." Sadie looked his way in disbelief.

"Where are the rods?" Miguel spoke up to save Sadie from Daniels sudden look.

"Back in my garage." Daniel shrugged his shoulders causally. "Your bare hands are all you'll use and all you'll need."

"Can't we catch diseases?" Sadie rose her eyebrows.

"You bite people and you're worried about fish giving you diseases?" Hawk looked at her with a raise of his eyebrows.

"Yeah, I should really get tested with the amount of blood i've consumed." Sadie cringed slightly, pulling her, Sams, jacket around her a little more.

"On your marks, get set, go!" Daniel announced to each of them.

The Eagle Fangs all began to reach into the water, holding onto the edge as they reach in. Sadie gave a harsh splash, hitting Hawk with the water, but he hadn't seemed to mind. She rolled her eyes when the fish didn't seem to come to her hand. "Are you kidding me? Come here!"

"You can't talk to the fish, you fool."Miguel spoke, focusing extremely hard on one of the fish, trying to show Sadie up, leaning in to grab it, going too far as he crashed into the water.

Sadie snorted loudly, clasping a hand over her mouth. Miguel sat up in the water, eyes wide in embarrassment and drenched in water. The eagle fangs all laughed at him. Daniel cracked a grin slightly at the poor boy. "Looks like you're a little wet behind the ears. Let's get you dried off."

"Damn it! How do they make it look so easy on Hillbilly Handfishin?" Mitch became annoyed with the action.

"What does this have to do with Karate?" Sadie mumbled in disbelief. Under her breath, Miguel got a waft of the strong alcohol scent from her lips.

"Agh! Shit! This is impossible!" Hawk yelled in anger, hitting the water.

"Patience." Daniel reassured them.

"It's been a full day." Sadie looked up at him in disbelief.

Daniel laughed at her slightly, nodding his head. "You'll figure it out."

"Wait." Miguel announced, a look of knowledge falling over his eyes. Sadie sat up when he got into the pond.

"Now Miguel's crawled in with the Koi." she spoke with a blink.

"Come on. Get in." He waved the group in.

Sadie looked back at Daniel, seeing the knowing look over his face. Swimming her legs over, she got into the pond. Hawk followed, Bert, Mitch, and the others doing the same.

"Follow my lead. Walk in a circle." Miguel encouraged, leading them all in a group together.

Sadie followed him, keeping a nice distance as the fish swam past her feet. She giggled. "Tickles."

Daniel shook his head with a minor smile. Miguel's idea seemed to cause the fish to swim away from their bodies. Eli grinned. "Hey, it's working. They're going under the board."

Miguel let out a yell, grasping one of the koi fish as he held it above his head. Daniel cheered. "We have a winner! Good job, Miguel. Good job."

"Just reach under?" Sadie asked, looking to Miguel. He nodded his head quickly. "Wait."

"Sadie!" Eli yelled when she swam under the water. "What the hell is she doing?"

"If she comes up with a fish in her mouth, i'm out." Miguel shook his head in disbelief.

Sadie swam back up, hair wet, holding a orange koi in her hands. She held it over her head, yelling out. "Did you see that? Look at him!"

"There you go, Sadie!" Daniel encouraged with a clap. "You keeping him?"

"Yes!" Sadie announced, holding him in the water as she swam over. "I need a bucket!"

"I'll get you a bucket." he nodded, walking off with a laugh.

"I can't believe you caught a fish." Sam said as Sadie held the bucket with the flipping fish inside. "Did you decide on a name?"

Sadie looked in the bucket. "Mouse."

"Mouse?" Sam rose her eyebrows in disbelief. "Are you serious?"

"Don't hate on our child, Samantha." Sadie loaded the bucket in her passengers seat. "I think I really broke through with your dad today."

"Yeah, he was telling my mom how you made him laugh." Sam cracked a grin. "Said you were holding the fish up like cats do their kitten."

Sadie laughed slightly, shutting the door as the sun began to go down. "Okay, I better get home before traffic gets bad. Still need to go buy a tank."

Sam opened the door for her. "You wanna come to a birthday party with me tomorrow?"

"A birthday party?" Sadie asked, leaning on the door.

"It's a kid thing but my moms making me go. I figured if you're there, it won't be so bad." Sam gave a flushed smiled in Sadie's direction. "We can just ride there together."

"Yeah, okay." Sadie grinned, leaning over and pressing a kiss to her lips. "See ya later, Koi Fish."

"It's see you later, alligator." Sam corrected her as Sadie got into her car, starting it up.

"I like mine better." she said back, sending Sam a wink before driving off.
