tw: mental and slight physical parental abuse.

"Sadie!" Hawk yelled out as he ran through the hospital, shoes squeaking on the floors.

"Hawk!" Sadie said, jumping off the hospital bed and going into the hall. He hugged her quickly as she wrapped her arms around him. Sam watched the two from the open curtain across the hall.

"Fangs, you've gotta sit down." Sensei spoke up when he noticed the doctor looked at him knowingly.

"I'm here! I'm here!" Demetri said as he hunched over, out of breath, "Oh, I can not run."

Hawk grabbed Sadies face, looking at the large gash on her head, "What the hell happened? What's the matter with you?"

"Sadie." Sensei said seriously, making her look back and see him nodded to the bed. Sadie sighed, walking behind the curtain again. Demetri and Eli followed close after.

"Do I have memory loss?" Sadie asked the doctor, taking the pain meds the nurse gave her.

"It's a minor concussion , I want to keep you over night to exam your symptoms." the doctor spoke as he looked at his clipboard, "You should feel headaches, dizziness, nausea, mental confusion."

"Wait, can I compete tomorrow?" Sadie asked quickly, looking to Sensei as he looked away.

"I'm afraid not." the doctor said.

"Screw that! I've trained since January!" Sadie shouted in disbelief, her voice echoing off the hospital walls and traveling toward the other side of the hospital. Sam heard her, looking at her phone and seeing her parents say they were on their way immediately.

"Sadie." Demetri said as he tried to calm her down.

"You said it's minor. I can deal with a little headache." Sadie spoke in disbelief to the doctor, "I'm competing in that tournament!"

"No, you're not." Sensei spoke up seriously as he gave her a stern look, "Shut your mouth before you make yourself sick."

Sadie stared at him in disbelief. The curtain opened as they all looked over. Sam stood there with sorrow eyes, "Sadie, i'm-"

"Get out, no one wants you here." Hawk snapped at her quickly, "I bet it was your fault the two of your wrecked, wasn't it?"

"Eli." Sadie warned him knowingly, "The car came out of nowhere."

"I'm so sorry." Sam apologized to her with sad eyes.

"It's okay, Sam." Sadie said back.

"Get out!" Hawk repeated as he walked forward, before he got closer, the curtain swung back as Daniel LaRusso stood there.

"Letting your students put my kid in the hospital? What kind of sensei are you?" Daniel asked Johnny in disbelief, clearly the most angry in the room. Sam tried to speak up but he waved her off, "You know what? This isn't even worth my time. I'll just talk to the police!"

"You think I purposely would put the both of us in hospital beds? I can't even fight tomorrow!" Sadie said in disbelief his way, a harsh glare on her face, "God, what is it with you LaRussos and thinking every god damn thing is about all of you?"

Sam gave a slightly hurt look.

"I had nothing to do with this! Neither did Fangs!" Johnny came to her defense with a harsh glare, "You're barking up the wrong tree, LaRusso."

"God, why are you still here?" Hawk asked Sam in disbelief, "You've done enough, believe me."

Demetri sat next to Sadie as she held her head suddenly, a throbbing headache.

"All of you, out!" the voice of Matthew Vesper spoke up loudly as they all paused. His oxygen tank was by his side, making a loud noise as he glared at each of them, "I'm the father, get out, all of you."

Sam looked to Sadie, who didn't bother to even look at her. Daniel sighed in disbelief as he lead Sam off, Johnny giving Sadie a apologetic look which was only met with a glare. Sadie looked to Hawk hopefully as he stayed still, Demetri clearing his throat.

"Jesus christ, two of them? What's the matter with you, Sadie?" Mathew asked his daughter in disbelief before nodding to the two, "Both of you, get out of here."

Demetri looked to Sadie, she nodded, holding a brave face. Demetri believed it because he'd never been the type to hide emotions, Hawk on the other hand saw right through her. He gave her hand a small squeeze but followed Demetri out to the waiting room.

"What were you even doing with a car? You have no car." Mathew scolded his daughter as the doctor told him what happened, a police officer taking her statement, "You could have killed that girl."

Sadie mumbled something under her breath as he stared, "What was that?"

"Nothing." Sadie said back.

"I'm going to let you get some rest. I'll have a night nurse check in on you soon." the doctor said, giving Sadie a warm smile as he lead the police officer back. Sadie didn't look at her father, picking at the chipped nail polish in her fingernails.

"Did you call mom?" Sadie asked, wanting nothing more then her mom.

"Your mothers on a business trip, why would I call her to tell her how stupid our daughter is?" Matthew asked in disbelief, adjusting the oxygen tube under his nose, "How'd I raise such a idiot?"

Sadie didn't say anything. Matthew smacked her on the left side of her face, "I'm talking to you."

"Sorry." Sadie mumbled, her left cheek was red as she looked away. She wished she had her mom, "Will you please call mom?"

Matthew ignored her.

"Okay, we're getting started on the new tank." the nurse said the next morning as Matthew took Sadies place in the hospital bed. It made since to Sadie now why he decided to show up, only because his appointment was just the next morning. Demetri brought Sadie a pair of clothes the next morning while Hawk got ready for the tournament. He brought her lace shorts and a blue shirt that Hawk insisted she wore. Demetri saw the mark on her face but hadn't thought much of it due to the large gash on her head and her swollen lip from the car crash.

"Sweet girl, how old are you?" Matthew asked the nurse as he adjusted the tank under his nose.

She smiled, "Twenty-Eight."

He grinned as she headed out of the room, giving Sadie a smile smile. Matthew inhaled, the oxygen tank being his only life line. When Sadie was younger, she use to stand above him while he slept and pretend to cut the oxygen tub with her barbie scissors. She still something thought out it, "You sign your discharge papers?"

Sadie nodded as he sighed and shut his eyes, "Don't tell your mother, she'll just feel embarrassed. You already humiliated her with the way you've acted, now worse then ever. You wanna know what I always told her?"

Sadie stayed silent, knowing he was gonna tell her either way.

"I told her, let's adopt a boy. Boys are easy, they'll do what they want and they'll love you. But she wanted a girl, a stupid girl that cried every time she held her on the mission trip. I told your mother, girls get pregnant, girls are trouble." Matthew inhaled quickly, not being able to breath well as he adjusted the tube on his nose, "I told her we could end up with a whore of a daughter that gets through life with her legs wide open and then will try and blame it on us."

Sadies eyes watered from the curtain as she stared at her father in the hospital bed, his only source of oxygen through a small tube.

"And we got exactly that." Matthew mocked, coughing.

Sadie stared, she stared so hard she could feel her eyes start to bulge. Sadies hand came up, pulling the curtain back so the area of the hospital was only seen by her and her father. She approved slowly, her jaw tight as she stood right by his bed. Matthew looked open at her, opening his mouth to speak before her hand out reached.

Sadie wrapped her hand around the oxygen tube, cutting off his oxygen.

"You will never, never speak of me in such a way, ever again." Sadie threatened , her teeth clinched as the sharpened ones poked out, "If you speak of me like that again, I will not let go. If you disrespect me even in the slightest, I will not let you have air. If you so much as breath, it is with nothing but respect and gratitude toward the daughter you have."

Sadie stared into his eyes harshly, his lack of breathing making his face swell as chocking noises echoed. She let the oxygen tube go, Matthew took harsh breaths as he finally felt like he could breath again. By the time he caught his breath, Sadie was already in the hospital parking lot.
