Sam laid in her bed that night, wearing a swollen eye and fresh tears. A flicker was coming from her window, a flashing light. She didn't think anything of it at first, sitting up when it continued on. Walking to her window, Sam looked out as Sadie, who was on her golf cart, flashing the light her way. The LaRusso girl found her slippers, walking down stairs and out of the front door.

Sadie gave a grin from the golf cart, out reaching her arm across the seat. "It's occurred to me that you haven't gotten a ride on the hottest get up in all of Encino."

Sam walked over, ricing a little, but still sad, smile. "What are you doing?"

"Hop in." Sadie patted the seat next to her. "I've got somewhere to take you."

Sam hesitated, mainly just wanting to curl up in her bed again. But, she got in the seat, crossing her legs together as Sadie drove down the side walk. The wind was cold, but the drive wasn't too far. They ended up at a park, one that not many people ever went to. Sam looked over at Sadie. "What are we doing here?"

"Stargazing." Sadie smiled, pulling the blanket from under the seat. "Come on."

Sam sighed, following Sadie toward the hill as she laid out the green blanket, sitting down as she patted for Sam to sit. The two fell back against the blanket, looking up and the twinkling sky. Sadie found her hand, lacing their hands together. "You feel any better?"

Sam had to smile slightly. "I little bit."

"I think you did freaking amazing out there." Sadie turned her head to look over at her. "Regardless, you won in my head. Who cares about a trophy?"

Sam gave a sad smile. "I know, it's just...I just felt like I owed it to my dad and the dojo."

"You don't owe anything." Sadie promised her, squeezing her hand. "The sooner you realize that, the sooner you can let so much go. Trust me."

Sam looked back up at the stars, finding one. "Does that one look brighter to you?"

Sadie looked up, not being able to find which one. "No, they all look the same to me."

Sam smiled, squeezing her hand. "I could look at the stars forever."

"Me too." Sadie exhaled. "Only if you're with me though."

Sam flushed, looking over at her. "Sadie."

"Yeah?" she turned to look as her, her voice soft as it came out.

"I'm really glad we made it through together." she said back, a little smile going across her busted lip. "I don't know what i'd do if you weren't with me."

Sadie rolled on her side, frowning her eyebrows. "I'll always be with you, Sam."

Leaning down, the two shared a kiss under the bright stars.
