Sadie snuck up behind Sam, kicking her knee, causing the LaRusso girl to stumble, before stealing the blow pop out of her backpack pocket, "How many of these have you gotten today?"
Sam rolled her eyes as Sadie pulled the wrapped off and threw it at her, "You act like it's such a bad thing, these are so good."
"Yeah, when it's not about a stupid rumor." Sam said annoyed as Sadie put it in her mouth with a grin.
"Aw, don't be sad, Sam." she mocked her, walking backwards as she pulled the blowpop out of her mouth, "At least no ones saying you were bad at it."
Sam sighed in disbelief as Sadie only laughed and turning back on her heels, walking off. Sam noticed that people moved out of her way when she walked, she didn't move even once to avoid being ran into.
"Okay, everybody. Fall in." Sensei said as he walked out of his office the next day, taking notice of the much smaller dojo, "Where is everyone? Crater face? Nose ring? Slingshot?"
"They quite, sensei." Miguel said as he looked down at his feet.
"Are you serious?" Sensei asked in disbelief with a slightly offended look, "I mean good. That was a test. I wanted to see who the quitters are. Not you guys. You're in it to win it, right? You could be at home playing your iComputers, playing video games, eating candy. Instead, you're here, doing push-ups, learning how to fight. Lip! Look! Even Lips tougher then those guys."
"Could you please not call me that?" Eli spoke up. Sadie grinned as she hit Miguel, a proud look on her face.
"Excuse me, what?" Sensei asked him in disbelief
"Could you please not call me that?" Eli repeated himself, eyes flickering around and avoiding all eye contact.
"Um, i'll warm 'em up, Sensei." Miguel jumped in quickly to avoid what happened yesterday.
"No, Lip has something he wants to say. Sorry, speak up, Lip. Or is your tongue messed up too?" Sensei asked as he got closer. Sadie looked to Miguel as he gave her a apologetic look, "Are you one of those challenged kids?"
"The doctor says I could be on the spectrum." Eli said back hesitantly.
"I don't know what that is, but get off it pronto. All right?" Sensei Lawrence asked as he stood right before him, "If you don't want me to call you Lip, don't have a weird lip. Cant you get surgery for that?"
"I was born with a cleft lip. This is the scar from the surgery." Eli said back, Sadie sighed as she watched his small wave of confidence go away immediately.
"You mean it was worse before that? Or did the doctor just screw up? Because if this is the after phot, that sucks, man. You should sue." Sensei said, Sadie glanced toward Miguel who had the same reaction she had. It was clear they both were scared to say anything.
"Can we just please change the topic?" Eli asked, his voice broke.
"You don't think I want to? It's right in front of me." Johnny spoke as he nodded toward Eli's lip, "If you wanna be something other than a nerd with a scar on his lip, you've gotta flip the script. Get a face tattoo or gouge your eyes out. We'll call you Patch, all right? No, don't do that one. You'll still look like a freak."
"Sensei." Sadie spoke up just as Eli hurried out of the rooms and toward the back, his eyes swelling up with tears as he went.
"Oh, great, really? Another quitter?" Sensei spoke up in disbelief.
"I know baby, it's okay." Sadie spoke as she rocked Eli slightly in her arms, sitting with him on her golf cart, "Don't worry about him, Demetri and I think you're so cute."
"Absolutely." Demetri said as he leaned over the seat to rub Eli's shoulder slightly, "That dudes just a asshole."
Eli cried into Sadies neck as the pair stroked his back and hair. Sadie and Demetri shared a look before she spoke up, "You wanna order some nachos and watch Harry Potter? You can spoon Demetri and i'll spoon you."
Demetri touched his heart with a smile.
"No." Eli said as he sat up, looking at the pair as he gave a sniffle, "I wanna do something else."
Sadie hesitated, "I mean.. we can, but you probably don't want you first time to be with two people at once."
"What?" Eli asked her with a frown of his eyebrows, Demetri stared at Sadie with wide eyes.
"Never mind, what do you have in mind?" Sadie asked quickly, realizing she thought wrong.
Sadie swung the golf cart keys around her fingers as she walked down the isles of the drug story, grabbing different shades of hair dye and looking for the bleach. As she went around the next isle, she paused when she saw Sam looked at the pads and tampons.
"Damn, as if your life couldn't be worse." Sadie said as she walked over. Sam sighed in disbelief as she shut her eyes a moment, "Don't let me bother you, bleed in peace."
"What do you want?" Sam huffed as Sadie leaned on the isle with a cross of her arms. Sam narrowed her eyes as Sadie only grinned at her, her glossy lips sparkling under the shitty lighting.
"I happen to know something you don't." Sadie said as she eyed Sam, "Something that'll definitely make your life a living hell tomorrow morning."
Sams face fell as she tried to keep a strong face, though the pure panic in her eyes was there, "Whats the point in asking what it is? You're not going to tell me."
"Thing is, Veronica Sawyer, I can keep it from happening if you help me out." Sadie mocked as she uncrossed her arms and stood chest to chest with Sam, "I need a car, and your daddy owns a dealership."
"So what? You want me to give you money?" Sam asked her in disbelief, staring at Sadie with a odd look on her face. Sadie had called her Veronica Sawyer once before, right after she started hanging around Moon and Yasmine at the beginning of summer.
"Do I look like a prostitute?" Sadie asked her in disbelief with a scoff, "I'm not poor, I just need a discount. You get me one and I can shut Yasmine up before she goes around telling everyone that you use teeth when giving head."
Sams face fell at her words, "She said that?"
"Word traveled fast in the bathrooms." Sadie shrugged as she eyed Sam. Sadie held her hand out with a smirk, "Ready to make a deal with the devil?"
"For once, I agree with something you say." Sam said in disbelief as she shook Sadies warm hands, pulling away quickly after as Sadie winked at her and walked away.
"Hold him still, Demetri." Sadie scolded the boy as he tilted Eli's head back under the bathtub faucet.
"My neck doesn't bend that far." Eli tried to reason as Sadie leaned over him and rinsed his head, "Woah, your boobs are in my face."
"Enjoy it." Sadie said as she got the bleach out of his hair, "Holy shit, you're yellow. Thank god for toners."
"Yellow is not a good look on him." Demetri confirmed as Sadie pulled back, pulling Eli up as Demetri began drying his head off. Sadie mixed the blue hair dye in the bowl as she stood infront of him, "Why'd we decide on blue?"
"It brings out his cute lil eyes." Sadie said as she passed the bowl to Demetri and used the brush to get as much as possible, "And Eli likes blue, tell him."
"I like blue." Eli confirmed as his eyes shut when Sadie coated his hair in the hair dye, "What if it looks bad?"
"We'll shave your head off." Demetri confirmed as Sadie kicked him in the knee.
"It won't look bad. If it does, we'll shave Demetris head off to make you laugh." Sadie said as Eli grinned at her while Demetri only looked deeply offended.
