Chapter Twelve: Sam: The Girl

    A little girl screamed.
    "Mamma!"
Sam watched as the woman's body fell at the feet of two Jaffa. They grabbed the girl's arm and pushed her to the ground. "No!" She screamed, tears running down her face. The Jaffa pointed a long staff at the girl's head.
The scene made Samantha angry. Her eyes lit with fury. Stop! Suddenly, she heard herself scream at the Jaffa. "Leave her alone!" She screamed, running at the Jaffa wildly. She elbowed one in the face, and grabbed the little girl. "Run!" She yelled. But the second Jaffa was too strong. He knocked Carter upside the head, and zatted the little girl. Then, he motioned for the First Prime. He walked up, and smiled. "We have proceeded to capture two members of the SG team. Lord Baal will be pleased."

Sam woke up on a cold, hard floor, with the little girl in her arms. "I want my mommy." She cried.
Sam sat up, and looked around. They were apparently in a ship. "What's your name?" Sam asked.
She was very silent, then, she answered. "I'm Na-Naomi. I'm-I'm pleased to me-meet you."
Sam smiled at the little girl's manners in such a situation. "My name is Samantha Carter. But you can call me Sam if you like."
"Those Jaffa hurt my momma...I'll never see her again."
Sam shivered. "You sit here. I'm gonna see what I can do to get us out of here, ok?" She nodded.
She walked over to a panel on the wall, and a flashback came to her. Sir, just go! There's no time!
    No!
She wiped her eyes. She grabbed the protective covering from the panel and ripped it off, seeing that it wasn't screwed on very tightly. Buttons and wires greeted her. Ok, where to start?
She pulled a wire, and was immediately electrocuted. "Ah! Gosh."
She looked at her hand; it was swelling. "Really gotta quit doing that."
She looked back at the little girl. "Are you ok, Ma'am?"
    Sam grinned. "I'm try-"
The door slid open. Baal had come to greet them. "You." He pointed at her. "Come with me."
Baal's First Prime grabbed her arms, and walked her to another room. Her heart sank when she saw the chains hanging from the wall. The Jaffa lifted her up off the ground and placed her wrists in chains, then let go. Sam immediately felt the pain of her body hanging from the ceiling. It was then that a man with a painful looking prod walked up, and Baal asked Sam a question.
"What was your current mission?" His deep voice bellowed.
"Why do you need to know?" She asked.
The big, stocky Jaffa shocked her with the stick. She gasped, and let out a slight scream. "Answer my question, and you will be rewarded." Baal was grinning at her pain.
"I can't tell you!" She replied.
She was shocked even harder this time, in the stomach. She let out a pained breath and a tear slid down her face. "You will tell me what I need to know!" He demanded.
She gritted her teeth defiantly, almost with an angry growl. "I'll never tell you anything."
She was shocked again, and the Jaffa wouldn't let up. She let out a scream. It wouldn't end. She closed her eyes and tried to ignore, but the pain wouldn't end. Finally, after God knows how long, the Jaffa stopped. He left her, hanging there. Her breath was shallow, and tears were pouring from her eyelids. Oh, come on Sam, this isn't even the worst of it, she told herself. She couldn't lift her head, so she stared at the floor. That was the last thing she remembered.
