Chapter Four: Advanced: Jack

General Orak lead Jack and the rest of SG-1 down through hidden the hidden tunnels. As he walked, muttering away, he introduced them to some of his 'important' people. They made their way five hundred feet down to a huge lab, that had Major Carter's beat. The walls were pure white, with all kinds of advanced technologies hooked to the wall. Cords streamed from anywhere and everywhere, and scientists ran busily back and forth to their experiments. Jack was the first to speak.
"So...why have you brought us here?"
"I would like you to meet a very important member of our society, to whom we owe our existence..."
Great, Jack thought, They have a god.
He found out very quickly that he was wrong. The General approached a young lady, with long blonde hair, and a cocky smile. He whispered to her something Jack couldn't make out, and the woman looked at SG-1 with narrow, blue eyes.
"Greetings, my name is Diana Slache. I am the head scientist of the Aguman people. You are the legendary SG-1?" Jack noticed she made the spoke as if she expected them to be bigger and better than they were, and he didn't like it.
"Yeah that's us." He motioned to the rest of the team. "This is Major Carter," the Major smiled and said hello. "Dr. Daniel Jackson," he stood, still gazing at the big lab. "And Teal'c." Teal'c dipped his head respectfully.
"Well, I suppose you would like to learn more about our advanced technologies?"
Carter started to follow the scientist, until Daniel spoke up. "Uh, can I have a word with you...all of you?"
Dr. Slache allowed them to speak in a room close to the lab.
When they got there, Jack was the first to speak. "See I knew I wasn't the only one! Something about this place just isn't right."
Daniel replied with a whisper. "I just don't think it's right that they're so open about who they are and what they're doing."
"I have had this feeling as well, O'Neill."
"So...what if there is something up?" Carter asked.
"We go along with it."
