A/N: I don't know Diddley squat about Nightstar and her actions. I know she is Dick Grayson and Starfires daughter. And I'm sorry for those who read the comics and now how they all act. I don't own nothing but I wish I did. Please read and enjoy.

-Beastboy POV-

I transformed into a cat as soon as I sensed Starfire walking into the room. I laid in Nightstars lap, she pet me gently and the doors opened. Starfire walked in, she wore her black and light purple armor, and sat next to Nightstar. She brushed though her daughters hair with her hand.

"Nightstar, daughter, are you feeling well? I did not see you at sun rise this morning."

"Yes Mother, I am fine. I stayed up late last night and watched the moon. It was beautiful." Nightstar gazed at her ceiling, smiling. "I flew with the fireflies and swam with the fishes."

"Daughter, I've told you before I don't like when you go out at night without my knowledge. Agh I swear you are just like your father always going out at night, you both love the night-"

"It seems to beckon me mother, I can't help myself, it's always so beautiful. Especially on clear nights-"

Nightstar closed her eyes and held her hands together then flew into the air spinning around. I turned into a bird and landed back on the bed as a cat. I laid down and looked at Starfire.

"-Oh Mother It's breath taking!"

Starfire smiled. She grabbed her daughter by her waist and set her down.

"One day I shall join you on your late night flights." She laughed, it was nice seeing Starfire happy again, I wish she could always be happy.

I mewed, jumped off the bed, and walked towards Starfire. She glanced down at me then told Nightstar that she would feed me, Starfire and I walked out of the room and into the hallway. We walked deeper into the very much changed Titans Tower, it wasn't even called Titans Tower anymore. How could it be? Their weren't any Titans left.

As soon as we couldn't see Nightstars door I changed back into a human, well my human.

"Starfire-"

"Hurry Up Beastboy, Nightstar could come out any second. And You're Her Pet Remember?" Starfire reminded me coldly.

"Starfire please, you were so happy just seconds ago. Starfire you're my friend-"

"We are Not friends. You turned your back on me, and for that you're paying the price. As soon as Nightstar is done with you I'll kill you."

I looked in her green eyes. "And what about Cyborg and Raven?"

"They are loyal to me. I'm making sure of that." A twisted smirk formed on Stars face. I flinched, I must have it easy, I wonder how she keeps the others in check.

"Star-Starfire, we were all your friends once. We still are. We really did try to support you when-"

"No More talking. Go eat and go straight back to Nightstars room, and if I see you are human around her I swear Beastboy. You are her pet and nothing more."

Her eyes glowed and she walked away. I walked into the kitchen and the people there smiled warmly at me. I waved and we had our greetings. Sarah, one of the workers, she was new, gave me a bowl of salad, apples, oranges, and other fruits and vegetables. I smiled kindly at her.

"Thank you Sarah. But no eggs? Or milk?"

"Ooh. I'm sorry Beastboy, Starfire said you don't eat meat and so..." She rubbed her arm shyly.

"It's fine, she's only doing this because I actually Started to like meat before she took over. You're new, just sneak me some eggs or ham next time." I patted her on her shoulder and walked towards my table.

When I was about done with my meal Sarah walked towards me holding a turkey leg. I smiled as she set it down on the table, I turned into a dog and dug in. Sarah watched me quietly.

"So Sarah-" I said while still in my dog form, a skill that took years to master. "-Have you met Starfire?"

She shook her head yes. "It was scary, I thought for sure she was going to kill me and I would never see my family again."

"Don't be scared. Just make sure you bow and stuff and greet her by saying, Emperor Starfire, or, Grand ruler. You'll be fine."

She nodded understanding. "Does Lady Nightstar want anything to eat?"

"Uhm, get her some grapes, toast with Honey, eggs, lots of ham, and two cups of milk to drink."

Her eyes widened. "For a 5 year old she sure does have a big appetite!"

"Well some of it's for me. And Hey. Her birthday is coming up soon so let's make her big and strong."

She laughed as I held the turkey bone in my mouth and left the kitchen. I trotted to Nightstars room. I whined at the door, she opened it and picked me up smiling.

"Oh Beastboy, you know you could've just opened it yourself." She set me down on her bed, I gnawed at the bone.

"Yeah but dat wouldent be mut pun." The turkey bone in my mouth still. I stared at Nightstar who laughed and brushed her long black hair. She looked at me and patted on the desk, I happily walked into the desk transforming into a cat. She giggled some more.

"You know, it's almost my birthday and for a present well...I was wondering if you could tell me about my father?"

I looked at her, she started to have trouble brushing the back of her hair. I jumped off the desk transforming into my human and started to brush her waist long hair. We were quiet, until she started humming "you are my sunshine". I smiled at her then tried getting into a telepathic contact with Raven.

"Raven? Hello Raven?"

"Yes Beastboy? I'm here."

"Would it be okay if I told Nightstar about Nightwing?"

"WHAT?!"

"We're talking telepathically, I'm pretty sure there's no static." I sensed that she laughed.

"Oh Beastboy, still a jokester. But why would you tell Nightstar about Dick?"

"Well for starters, It's almost her birthday. Plus Starfire mentioned him today when Nightstar was talking about her flying at Night. She didn't ask any questions but I'm sure she's curious. But really Raven, who wouldn't want to know about their dad?"

"I'm sure it's fine, just don't let Starfire catch you."

I laughed out loud, Nightstar looked at me questionably then went back to her humming.

"Hey babe, I heard that Starfire was keeping you in check, and Cyborg. Keeping you guys loyal to her...what-what does she do to you?"

"N-nothing Beastboy, don't worry about me, worry about yourself! And how many times must I tell you Not to call me Babe?!"

"Well Babe, you are my girlfriend, and you were going to be my wife. But seriously Rae, what does she do?"

"Beastboy- Oh Starfire is coming. I have to Go, I love you."

"I love you too."

The conversation ended. I was worried about my girlfriend, I hated to think Starfire was causing her horrible pain. I guess Nightstar saw my worried expression in the mirror because she asked me what was wrong, I turned her around dramatically, pouting.

"I always brush your hair and you never brush mine!"

She laughed, her green eyes lit up with happiness as she jumped up and down. She grabbed the brush, sat me down and started to brush my wild hair.

I stared at myself in the mirror. My costume was red and white, it was like that before Starfire took over. I changed the colors because the purple and black were what I chose as a kid. I was maturing and growing, we all change some of our costume, I changed the colors.

I stared at my reflection and started to outline my muscles, I was stronger for sure. I looked at my face which had also changed, I had a small scar on my right cheek and of course I had aged. I had sideburns and my hair was about two inches long. I stared into my eyes and started to get lost in thought, Nightstar pulled back my head because of a knot. I jumped, grabbed my hair and turned towards Nightstar smiling.

"Ow! That hurt."

"Well you deserve it for not answering my question!"

"Oh yeah...what was the question?" I rubbed my head. She stomped her foot.

"Will you tell me about my dad!"

"Oh yeah, of course I will Starshine!"

"Starshine? That's not my name silly!"

"Here's your first thing to know, Your dad was going to give you that Nickname, of course he didn't know he was going to have a kid, we found that out later."

She giggled. "Daddy didn't know about me?"

"No one did until your mom told us and that was after she...um...gave us lollipops?"

She was confused then happy again. "It's good my mom gave you guys lollipops...whatever that is."

A light knock came from the door, I turned into a cat, it was a worker with Nightstars food. She looked at it happily and started to pig out as joe brought it next to her bed. He smiled at her.

"Well little lady, you have some appetite." Nightstar looked at him coldly.

"Leave Now human or I shall call my mother." Joe became scared and hurriedly left the room.

"Nightstar What A Terrible Thing to say! When he comes back you must apologize!"

"Mother says humans are worthless and is only good as slaves." She looked at me sadly.

"No Nightstar, your mother is only mad at humans because humans killed your father. It was a terrible accident and she blames the whole human race. Nightstar, I was and still am, Human."

She laughed and shook her head. "No your not silly! You're animals."

I transformed into my human self and walked towards her.

"See? I'm human!"

She looked at me. "No your not, your green and has powers. Some of your teeth are pointy and have your ears are kinda spiky."

"I was more human before, I was human when I was your age. I turned this way when I was eight. But I'm still Human."

"Humans don't has power."

I shook my head sadly. "Your still too young to understand. But hey!-" I smiled and poked her in her belly. I grabbed some meat off her plate. "-remember, this is our little secret, me turning into human okay?"

"I remember. I don't know why you have to remind me every time you turn your human."

She laughed and started to eat more. When she was done eating she went to fly in the gardens. I, in my cat form, walked around the castle. Humans everywhere, holding things, running back and forth. I peeked though a door and Starfire was there, holding something. I walked away, I was now getting closer to the basement. The door opened and there stood my hottie girlfriend.

"Hey babe." I purred, she picked me up and kissed my forehead calling me an idiot.

The further we walked down the hall the more clearly I could see Cyborg. I jumped from ravens arms and turned human.

"Hey Cy! What's up?"

He mumbled angrily and threw a screw driver on the ground. "Dammit I need the proper tools to fix this!"

I laid my hand in his shoulder, he turned around quickly, he was stressed.

"What are you fixing?"

"The water and electricity to the left wing.

The problem is I don't have a small enough screw driver and screws to fix this."

"Why can't Raven help you out?"

"I'm trying to focus my powers onto something else, none of your concern Beastboy."

"Seriously guys, its Garfield, Beastboy is just an old memory."

"Yeah, and why'd you change your name again? Because 'Beastboy' was such a child's name and yet you wanted your new name to be Mega Animal Fighter?!" He laughed and Raven chuckled.

"Hey! It was a joke! I was joking back then!"

Raven put her hand on my shoulder smiling. Her long purple hair landed gently on her back as she fell onto me, suddenly embracing me in a hug.

"I've missed you, I haven't seen you in days."

I smirked at her and wiggled my eye brows. She gave a small laugh in response. I spun her around and she landed in my arms. Her head was in the palm of my hand and my other hand on her waist, we were in the dancing pose. We looked into eachothers eyes, she played with my hair.

"Oh Beastboy." She said quietly yet sweet.

"It's not Beastboy." I said as I pulled her in for a kiss.

We kissed ,gently and then it got more forceful. We hadn't seen eachother in days and our visits were usually very short. I heard Cyborg laugh and call us love birds. I waved him off but that caused me to drop Raven, she fell on the floor laughing. I joined her.

"You're such an Idiot."

"Well I'm Your idiot."

She snuggled into my chest. Her white cloak acting like a blanket for her. My legs stretched out in front of us, she was more of a ball. I was sitting up, resting both my hands in back of us, holding our weight.

I stared down at my beautiful girlfriend, her breathing was long and even. She smelt like flowers and the ocean. Maybe she had picked flowers in the gardens and got some seashells for Starfire. Maybe that's what she was holding.

I looked up at Cyborg.

"So Cy, you think it's a good idea for me to tell Nightstar about Dick?"

"Yeah man, just don-"

"-don't let Starfire catch me, I know I know, Raven told me."

He smiled, still focused on working. "Man you know what I miss?"

"The joyous smell of Tofu bacon cooking in the morning?" I smirked, he turned to me with a serious expression.

"Ain't No Body Miss that tofu stuff.-" I laughed, he relaxed in his chair. "-Anyway man, I miss the days when Starfire would cook us her Tamerainian meals. And when they actually turned out good. Remember that Zorka berry pie?" He laughed.

"Remember how Starfire feed Slikie Zorka berries and he turned into the huge moth and killer moth came out of nowhere and was like RAWR! I'm Taking over the city! And then Starfire shot silkie making weird purple goo stuff cover the block and then Slikie was back and Starfire ate the purple stuff and then they both swam in it?"

"I guess it tasted like Zorka berries." He shrugged and went back to working. I laughed at looked back at Raven, she had dozed off. I smiled, my girlfriend looked so innocent when she slept. Then I remembered.

"Hey Cyborg, I was talking to Starfire today and-"

"Why'd you talk to Starfire?"

"Because. But anyway-"

"Maan-"

"Cyborg." I said in a hushed and crisp whisper. He stopped and looked at me. "Starfire told me that she keeps you guys in check, that she keeps you guys loyal to her. What does she do to you?"

He looked at me sadly then held his hands together. "She..." He looked away, avoiding eye contact. "...She has a virus. A virus that when put in me can kill me. She lets me suffer, sometimes for hours at a time, when I don't do what she says."

"Cyborg, I'm-I'm sorry I wish I-"

"There's nothing we can do. I've tried making my hardware adapt to it but it's useless." He was staring at his hands.

He wiped the tears away.

"Cyborg-I'm, Im sorry." He gave me a sad smile.

"We can't do anything about it. And if we try, she'll kill us." I looked away from him remembering what Starfire said eariler, about killing me when Nightstar doesn't want me anymore.

"Cyborg...what does she do to Raven?"

I looked at him, tears in my eyes. He looked at me sadly and shook his head.

"I don't know man, I don't know. She won't tell me either."

We both stared at my sleeping girl friend. What does she have to go through everyday? Why is she keeping it a secret? How bad is it? Why can't she tell us?

I wiped some tears away with one hand and placed my hand on her head. I kissed her forehead gently and whispered.

"You don't have to tell me everything, just tell me what she does."

I closed my eyes and I heard Cyborg working again. After awhile I herd the door open and my heart raced, fearing it was Starfire.

Raven stirred awake because of my heart beating so fast, she looked at me confused. A figure came closer and closer to us. We all stood up quickly and bowed.

"Hey Beasyboy." It was Nightstar. Relief washed over me, I smiled and swooped her in my arms. Raven and I held her. Cyborg went back to work.

"Will you tell me the story now?" She asked sweetly.

I nodded. All three of us sat down on the ground.

"Well, to understand this story, were gonna have to start at the beginning.."
