The first few times that Stardust hung out with me and my friends were awkward since they hadn't talked to Stardust before while I had.

But eventually, they opened up a bit and everything went well and before I knew it, it was December 15th, The day I was supposed to die.

Rather than going to the college campus tour, Stardust and I drive to the beach like we planned.

During that time she told me that we were childhood friends back when we were like eight and hung out together all summer before she left to live with her aunt once summer was over.

While at the beach, we collected seashells and played in the water. We even build a sand castle.

"I hear by name this beach Stardust's Ocean." She said laughing.

I laughed along with her at that remark.

As it was starting to get dark, we decided to head back home.

The time was now 4:15 pm.

Almost time.

As we drove down the road, we stopped at a gas station and got a few snacks to munch on.

By then we had been in the store for about 10 minutes and it was already 4:40 pm.

Once we got to the car and pulled out of the gas station, Stardust says "We did it. You survived to live another day."

"Yeah I am glad. Thanks for helping me like you did." I said.

"Yeah me too." She said a bit sadly.

"You don't seem happy. What's wrong?"

She sighed.

"Danny, I am not sure how to tell you this but I need to head back to my own time since my job here in the past is done. Plus I got my memories back so I have nothing else left here to do." She said.

"Stardust, why didn't you tell me before? I would have understood or at least took the time to process it better." I said upset.

"I know that. But I just didn't know how to tell you plus you seemed like you were having fun hanging out with me and I didn't want to ruin that. For that I am sorry."

"Okay. But what if the past you wants to live here and your parents freak out because you already showed up?"

"Don't worry, I left her a note in case it comes up."

She does have it covered.

"So, what now? Do you need to go somewhere after this?"

"Alder will pick me up and help me leave. So from there he will make sure the timeline isn't completely damaged and will make sure that you're totally okay as well."

"I see. Well that's good at least."

Once we got into town, we went to the skate shop where Alder was to pick up Stardust and take her back to HQ.

We got out of the car and met with Alder.

"If you want to say goodbye, now is the time." Alder said.

"Again thank you for saving me and for being my friend."

"No problem. I am glad I was friends with you."

She then hugs me and whispered "Call me when you get home, I am waiting."

"Wait what? What do you mean?"

She let's go and says "Just do it. Trust me."

I nod my head yes in response to that.

"Good. Now let's go,Alder. I am sure Kane doesn't wants us to be late."

"Fine. Bye Danny, see you soon." He says to me before him and Stardust get into his car and drive away.

I get in my car and just stay there for a while before going home because it didn't seem real to me that Stardust was gone like it never happened in the first place.

A few days later, word had gotten around that Stardust left town and transferred schools due to some unknown reason. People were starting to think that she had gotten into trouble and that's why she left town. But I knew the real reason behind her leaving and supposedly transferring schools in the middle of the school year.

I also hadn't call her past self yet because I didn't know what to say.

I finally worked up the courage to do so, one Friday night while in my room, studying.

The phone rings three times before she finally answered it.

'Hello? Who's this?'

"Hey, it's me Danny Gomez. We were childhood friends back in elementary school and wanted to see how you were doing." I said.

'Hey Danny. I am guessing she told you, right?'

"Yeah she did."

I hear her sigh before she said 'Let me start from the beginning again. Is that cool?'

"Yeah it is." I said with a smile.

It truly is.
