Chapter 19

I was confused on what happened to her and here she is, talking to a group of girls that I don't know. My friends and I find a table in the far corner of the restaurant and sit down.

"What's wrong?" Becky asks me.

"Nothing, I am fine." I said quickly.

I take one last glance at Stardust before going back to talking with my friends.

Once I got home, I went straight to my room since I wasn't really hungry and wasn't up to talking to mom or Greg at the moment.

I texted her again, asking why she didn't reply back the first time. Again no reply back, just like last time.

I sighed.

Great, maybe she hated me enough to not text me or just didn't know what to say.

I set my phone on my nightstand and go over to my desk and started my homework.

As I was doing my homework, I get a text.

I go over to see who had texted me.

It was from an unknown number.

'Stay away from Stardust or you will be in great danger.'

The text read.

What did they mean by that?

I texted back asking who they were but I got no reply back until an hour later.

'Meet me by Joe's Skate shop in about thirty minutes and don't be late.'

The text read.

In thirty minutes! That didn't give me much time to prepare at all so I grabbed my phone, wallet and car keys and booked it downstairs.

While I hurried to put on my shoes, my mom asks me "What's the hurry?"

"I forgot something at the Grill and I got to get it before the restaurant closes. Won't take long."

"Very then. Don't stay out too late. Remember you got school tomorrow."

"Yeah I won't." I said as I left the house and got into my car.

While driving over there, I got a call from Victor. I declined it since I was busy driving and didn't want to get into an accident.

Many thoughts ran through my head as I drove but a couple questions did stick out and that was Did this also have to do with Stardust? And how much time did I have with her before it was too late?

Unknown's POV:

It was almost time for the boy to show up. I didn't know why I had ask Danny to show tonight considering that him and Stardust were supposed to stay away from each other and from the conversation I had with her, it seemed like they beginning to remember each other.

Whatever he was trying to find out, it would not only put her and her family in danger but for him as well and I couldn't have that no matter what.

I see a car pull up in the parking lot of the skate shop a few minutes later. Guess that's him.

He gets out of the car and carefully approached me.

"Are you one who sent the text?" He said.

"Yeah I am. Why got a problem with that?" I said.

"Yeah a little. It's a bit much for a kid like me don't you think?"

"Not really when you have a job like mine."

"What kind of job and what does it have to do with Stardust?"

"Sorry kid, but unfortunately I can't tell you that. You need to stop poking your nose into stuff you shouldn't digging around for."

"Why should I? She's a childhood friend. I can't just turn a blind eye based off the words of a guy who I don't know and says it's for my own safety and for her's."

"Because it's true. If you don't stop then you'll be putting your safety at risk which I can't have."

"Can't you tell me what's going on so I can understand why?"

I sighed.

If he really wants to help her then I should tell him even if it meant going against the boss.

"Fine, I'll tell you but you can't tell anyone else but Stardust, got it?"

"Got it." He said with a smile, ready for anything I had to say.

Hopefully I was ready too and wrong in what I am about to do next.
