Japan, Here I Come
The year was 1987, The Ramone's and Bon Jovi had topped the charts, as rock music had been on the rise for several decades. The Prince had married almost seven years prior and the population of the uk had been celebrating ever since.
Having just gotten out of school for the day, you headed home to your grandmother. Upon arriving at home, Gammy was on the phone with her life long friend, Joseph Joestar. She sounded rather sullen, as she spoke. You had assumed it was about Caesar, as she and Joseph lovingly talked about the man, who had his life taken too soon.
"(Y/N)," Gammy yelled, before you had entered your room. You sighed slightly and dropped your bag on the floor in front of your room, and turned to see what your loving grandmother wanted. "(Y/N), Joseph would like to talk to you. Its very important." The old woman said, as she took in your outfit. A black skirt with a plaid red flannel tied around your waist, while a baggy black Guns 'n' Roses shirt slid off your shoulders, revealing a grey tank top underneath. You had dark red lipstick on, and crimped (H/L) (H/C) hair. Before your young hand brushed her aged one, she pulled the phone away before scolding your fashion choice. You rolled your eyes before taking the phone and kissing your grandmothers head.
"Joseph?" You asked, as you put the phone to your ear. There was a long pause before a loud voice boomed from the other side of the phone. "(Y/N) HOW ARE YOU?! ITS BEEN SO LONG. IM COMING TO LONDON SOON, TO PICK YOU UP SO WE CAN GO TO JAPAN. MY GRANDSON, WHO IS ABOUT YOUR AGE HAS A STAND, JUST LIKE YOU. PACK YOUR THINGS AND BE AT THE AIRPORT IN AN HOUR." The man abruptly hung up. Your grandmother sighed as a tear rolled down her face. "Gammy, I'll be okay. I have my stand, and I'll be with Joseph and his family. And I'll be back before you know it." You rubbed your grandmother's back before kissing her cheek, running to your room and beginning to pack what you couldnt live without.
As you placed the final folded shirt into your suit case, you sighed. No room for Mr. Bear. An old brown stuffed bear that was given to you by your parents. You couldnt leave him behind, so you took several large jackets from the bag, before settling on wearing one. It was an oversized denim jacket, covered in art and band memorabilia. You zipped the bag up, after successfully packing it, before taking a long, well deserved shower.
Your (H/L) (H/C) hair uncrimped itself under the steaming water. Lathering soap on your face and body, you quickly expelled any foreign substances from your body. As the hot water turned cold, you shut off the faucet, and towl-dried your body and hair. You looked at the clock that had been mounted on your bathroom wall; fifteen minutes until you had to be at the airport.
Panic ensued in your brain, as you quickly threw on a black, oversized t-shirt, with black leggings and grey leg-warmers, sitting comfortably above your chuck taylors. You swiftly grabbed your jacket, suitcase and an emergency travel bag, before waving goodbye to your grandmother and heading to the airport.
As you sat your suitcase down, you ran a hand through your hair and sighed. you had made it on time. The last time you had seen Joseph was when you were a young girl, as he was visiting your mourning grandmother. He had always worn white gloves, and a tan jacket when visiting. Thinking back to that part of your childhood pained you, as your parents had only recently passed. You sighed before looking for a man who even remotely looked similar to the man in your memory.
A deep voice errupted from behind you, "Oi, (Y/N)?" The man questioned. You swiftly turned around as Joseph enveloped you in a hug. "J-Joseph?" The man chuckled and pulled away from you. "Long time no see, kid. C'mon, our flight is this way. We'll be meeting a friend of mine in Japan." You nodded aimlessly before the brute grabbed your luggage.
"Japan, here I come,"
