Dark Blue Moon p. 1
The loathsome curse of Dio... Even the Speedwagon Foundation's doctors, who have the latest medical technologies, stand powerless before Dio's curse. In order to save Holly, Jojo and crew head toward far away Egypt. In order to avoid danger, they travel by sea rather than air, heading first to Singapore.
"To get from Hong Kong to Singapore, we'll be on the water for three full days. Well, let's relax and keep our spirits up. But seriously guys, can't you do something about those school uniforms? You're going to continue our journey wearing those? Isn't it ridiculously hot?" You heard Joseph say, as you exited the cabin dressed in a black and blue high waisted one piece, covered by a thin dress, made of light fabric. You stood next to Joseph a light blush on your face, you blinked unsure whether the blush was due to the heat, or the fact that you were wearing something so thin. You gazed at the two boys wearing their uniforms, laying in the sun, as the red head read a book. Not looking up from his book, Kakyoin spoke up. "Well, we are students... And student's should behave as students. But I suppose that sounds like a stretch..." Jotaro let out a light hmph, as his eyes remained closed. Joseph had just noticed your presence as he gestured to you. "As is (Y/N), but at least she is sensible enough to not get herself over heated. Hmph! Japanese students are such stiffs."
"I see... so this is Bushido. Once you clear your mind, even fire seems cool." Avdol said, examining the boys. "But you know, girls won't fall for stiffs like you. Right, (Y/N)?" Polnareff asked as his attention turned to you. He made his way over to you, standing behind you, and placed his hands on your shoulders. He leaned down to whisper into your ear. "You totally wouldn't fall for those stiffs would you?" He asked. "Especially since you're so cute!"
You blinked with furrowed brows, before mouthing out 'What?'
"Let go! Let go of me! You big lug!" A young voice yelled, "Dammit, let me go! Let me go!" You turned your head to the scene.
"Shut up!" A crewman said, holding the shoulders of a child wearing overalls, a pink longsleeved shirt and a hat. "What a little brat."
"Hey, what's going on? I thought we agreed there would be no passengers on our boat." Joseph said in a confused voice.
"Let go!"
"I'm sorry. It's a stowaway." The crewman informed him. "This brat was hiding in storage down below."
"A stowaway?"
"Come at me if you're gonna!" He yelled, "I'll kick your balls in!"
"I'll turn you in to the naval police." said the crewman, with a laugh.
The boy being held jolted at this, and looked up. "What? The police?!" He asked. "P-Please. Let me go!" He said, as he freed himself. "I just want to go see my dad in singapore. I'll do anything! You can work me as hard as you want!" He pleaded, as the crewman pinched the boys cheek. "Let's see. What should I do?" The crewman asked himself. "Should I let you go? What should I do?" He asked as he pulled on the boys opposite ear now as well. "P-Please!" The boy pleaded. The crewman flicked the boys nose, causing him to recoil his head.
"Ow!"
"I'm not gonna let you go after all. Hell no."
Tears streamed down the boys face, "First I'm gonna go let the captain know, so come wit-" The crewman was cut off by the boy taking the mans bare arm in his mouth and biting down, hard. The crewman screamed.
"Ew." You said, with a grimace. "You don't even know where his arm has been."
The boy promptly jumped from the boat, as you blinked in awe. "Woah! He jumped in! Talk about energetic." Polnareff said, with a laugh.
"Is he planning to swim to shore from here?" Kakyoin asked, slight worry in his voice, before he stood and walked to the railing.
"What should we do?" Joseph said, as Jotaro finally opened his eyes.
"Just leave 'im. I'm sure he dove in because he's a confident swimmer." Jotaro said, as the boy began swimming away.
"Th-This isn't good! Sharks gather around these parts!" The crewman yelled. "Oi shut it! This is your fault for mocking the kid!" You yelled slightly at the man, as the rest of the group looked at the child horrified.
"This isn't good!" Kakyoin exclaimed, as you began stripping the thin dress from your body and climbing over the railing.
"Hey, you brat! Come back! Get back here! It's dangerous!" Joseph yelled, as you threw your second leg over the railing. Your heart fluttered in your chest as you were about to jump in.
"There are sharks! Those waters are shark infested!" Polnareff yelled, before turning to you. "What are you doing?!"
"I'm gonna get the kid!" You said, confidently. A shark began to close in on the child, as you were about to jump out into the water, as one hand held thr bar tightly. The child screamed, as you released your hand and kicked off the side of the boat. As your head popped out of the water you blinked in awe. Star Platinum had thrown the shark into the air before it dropped into the water lifeless. Your mouth gaped in awe. Jotaro grabbed the boy, looking down in disapproval. "Yare Yare... you little brat." He said as he pulled the child through the water.
He stopped as he looked down at the boy, and patted his chest, before pulling the boys hat off, revealing long black hair. "You're... A girl?" He asked, as the group above you had thrown a life preserver down. You grabbed it, and swam towards the two. "And a little runt of one, at that." The girl covered her chest as you approached. "H-How dare you grab my chest like that?!" She asked, both furious and embarrassed. "Damn you!" She slapped the male, causing you to stifle a laugh. "Yare Yare..." He said, as the girl gripped the life preserver, and you and Jotaro swam to the boat manually. As the three of you neared the boat, the lifeless shark was pulled under and sliced in half.
"Huh?!" Joseph practically yelled, "J-Jotaro! (Y/N)! Below you! Something's attacking from underwater! It's not a shark! Its really fast! Hurry! Hurry and swim to the boat!" You looked back breifly and then began paddling as fast as you could, as both you and Jotaro held the child with one arm. "I-Its too far!" You screamed, before swallowing some incredibly salty water.
"If it's at that distance, leave it to me. Hierophant Green!" Kakyoin said, confidently, as he summoned his Stand. One of its tendrils wrapped around Jotaros wrist, while the stand grabbed you into its arms. It pulled the three of you up onto the deck of the boat.
"It disappeared! Its a stand! That thing is a stand!" Polnareff said, as he leaned over the railing. "A seafaring stand... I don't believe I've ever even heard of such a thing." Avdol said, as he stood next to Polnareff.
Kakyoin came up behind you, and wrapped a towel around your shoulders causing you to jump slightly. "O-Oh thanks." You said with a faint blush covered your cheeks.
The girl panted heavily, soaked with water and fear as not only had she been nearly killed by a shark but a small group of men gathered around her and stared.
"This girl...Sh-She couldn't be..." Joseph said to the group. "Could she be that Stand's user?" Polnareff added. "Could she have led Jojo and (Y/N) into the shark-infested ocean on purpose?" Kakyoin asked.
"Wh-What's with you jerks, all glaring at me like that?" She reached into her pocket and fished something out. "I don't know what's going on," She said as she flicked open the knife she had in her pocket. "But do you wanna fight?!" She asked in an agressive tone. "Don't underestimate me! I'll take you on! One-on-one! Face me, one-on-one! You little shits!" She said gesturing us forward. Avdol and Polnareff both grimaced at her.
"She can't be serious. Maybe we should toss her back into the ocean." Polnareff suggested. "Don't be rash. If she really was an ordinary stowaway, she'd have been eaten by sharks." Kakyoin added. "I've already checked the ten people on this boat. I don't know who it could be other than this girl. Isn't there a way we can find out who she really is?" Joseph pondered. "So... You're saying we should throw her back since shes the user? And just don't go after her?" You asked, as the girl tossed the knife back and forth.
Avdol pointed at the girl and asked in a stern tone "Hey, how's Dio doing?"
"Dio? What the hell is that?" She asked, holding the knife toward the group. "Don't act like you don't know, you little brat!" Polnareff said, gritting his teeth.
"So we are going with the whole throwing the kid overboard if she is a stand user, right?" You asked, completely confused by the whole situation. "Of course we are!" Polnareff answered gruffly.
"You damn punks!" The girl yelled wiggling her fingers at the group. "Do you want to talk to me or do you want to get stabbed?" She thrusted the knife outwards. "Which is it?!" She let out a grunt, while glaring. "This demon's blade is telling me that it wants the blood of its 340th victim already."
Kakyoin let out a chuckled, as you covered your mouth and made a snorting sound. "What's so funny, you stupid grunts?!" She yelled, still holding the knife. "'Grunts'?" Kakyoin asked, "You know, I really don't think it's her."
"Aw so no throwing someone overboard?" You asked as your shoulders slumped and Kakyoin placed a hand on one with a slight smile. "Yes, but..."
"So this girl is our stowaway?" A voice boomed from behind the girl. She screamed as he placed his hands on her shoulders. The man was large in stature with blonde hair and a matching moustache and goatee. He wore an outfit similar to Joseph's, a blue shirt with bracers and gloves, a red scarf around his neck and a captain's hat. "Captain..." Joseph said, as Jotaro lit a cigarette in his mouth.
"I'm pretty harsh when it comes to stowaways." He said as he grabbed the girls wrist. "O-Ow! Ow!" The girl yelled, as he squeezed her wrist. "You may be a girl, but if i go easy on you, we'll just get more and more stowaways." The girl dropped the knife as she screamed in pain. You gripped the towel around you as you glared at the captain. "We're gonna hold you in one of the rooms below deck until we get to port." He pulled the girls arm up causing her to scream more. "Captain, I'd like to ask you something." Joseph said, getting the mans attention. "You've verified the identities of all ten men on board, right?"
"Of course." He said turning to Joseph. "All of them are veterans who have been on this boat for over ten years. I'm not sure why you're so worried about that." The captain walked over to Jotaro, as he had handed the girl over to his crewmen. "By the way..." He began, before grabbing the cigarette from Jotaro's mouth. "I request you refrain from smoking aboard this ship. What did you plan to do with the ashes and butt after you're done?" He asked the teen. "Were you planning on throwing it into the beautiful ocean? You're a guest on this ship, but I'll have you follow her rules, Mr. Outlaw." He said before smashing the cigarette on one of the adornments on Jotaro's hat. A slight gasp escaped your, and the rest of the groups lips. Jotaro had an angered expression on his face, as his brows furrowed together. The captain dropped the butt from the cigarette into Jotaro's pocket, before pointing at him. "Got it?" The captain turned and began walking away as Jotaro put his hands into his pocket. "Hold it." He said as he stopped the captain from grabbing the girl. "If you're going to put it out, just put it out. Don't be a condescending prick about it, you jackass." Jotaro said cooly. A blush covered your face, 'God hes so cool.' You thought.
"Hey Jotaro, don't be rude to the captain!" Joseph scolded. "You're the one at fault."
"I'm very aware that I'm being rude. He isn't the captain... I just figured it out. He's the stand user!"
"Wh-"
"What?"
"Sta...nd? What might that be...?"
You gasped lightly, "Hey, aren't you still pissed that Jotaro called you a condescending prick and a jackass?" You asked, a brow raised. The captain blinked. "W-Why of course I am!"
"That's inconceivable, Jotaro. Captain Dragon came recommended with verification by the Speedwagon Foundation. He's someone we should trust. There's a 0% chance that he's a Stand user."
"Hold on, a Stand? I have no idea what you're talking about..."
"Jojo, random guesses will only make things more confusing!" Polnareff yelled, as you glared at the captain suspiciously. "Do you have any proof, Jojo?" Kakyoin asked. "I've found a way to differentiate Stand users from other people." Jojo began, "What?!" Joseph asked, perplexed. "That is..." Jojo placed his right pointer finger to his nose. "If a Stand user inhales even a little bit of cigarette smoke, a vein pops up on the tip of their nose." Jotaro reveals to the group. Joseph, Kakyoin, Avdol, Polnareff, yourself, and Captain Dragon all placed a hand or finger upon the tips of your noses. The girl blinked at the group. "You can't be serious, Jotaro!" Polnareff exclaimed, as you held your nose inbetween your pointer finger and thumb. "Is the vein unsightly?" You asked in a nasally voice. "Yeah, I'm lying." Jotaro said cooly. "But it looks we've found the idiot." The group gasped along with the fake captain, as the girl blinked in confusion.
The "Captain" removed his hat from his head menacingly, as his rolled back in his head.
"Jotaro, how did you know he was suspicious?" Joseph asked, questioning with hand movements. "Actually, I didn't think he was at all." Jotaro revealed. "Huh?" "But I planned to try this with all of the men on board." Jotaro said, a finger raised in the air.
"You're cold. Damn, but you're cold." The fake captain said with a shrug. "You're right. I'm not the captain. The real captain is already sleeping with the fishes at the ocean's bottom back Hong Kong."
"Then you can sleep at the bottom of Hell!" Jotaro interjected, while angrily pointing at the fraud. The man gave a wicked smile, before his stand grabbed the girls ankle. She screamed, as the group of males all yelled "Damn it!"
"I-I can't move..." The girl strained, while struggling in the arms of the stand.
Trouble on the water! Lies and betrayal! The Moon card, which suggests fear of the unknown. Its name: Dark Blue Moon!
"If I tried to take six of you at once, even I'd break a bone or two, so I was going to hide my identity and take care of you one by one..." The fake explained, still holding the girl hostage. "But if you've figured me out, I guess I have no choice. I'll have to take on all six of you!" He exclaimed. "Getting my hands on this girl is a sign that my luck is changing for the better! I'm going to jump into these shark-infested waters with her. Of course, you guys will end up following us in. If we fight in the water, where I have the advantage, I can beat all six of you." He finished with a chuckle.
"Don't underestimate me by taking a hostage! Don't think that I, Jotaro Kujo, will be shaken by this!" Jotaro said, his expression hardened. "Underestimate? No, this is a prediction! I hear that your Stand, Star Platinum, is pretty damn fast. I'm not trying to brag, but my Dark Blue Moon is pretty fast in the water. It can swim more elegantly than any fish in the sea!" He laughed once more. "Why don't we test them out? Follow me... If you're prepared to choke to death on all the seawater you're about to swallow." He said, as he jumped into the abyss.
The girl screamed, still held in place by the Stand. However, Jotaro quickly summoned his Stand, and attacked the aquatic Stand. He left an array of punches, as the Stand released the girl. Star Platinum quickly caught her in mid air, as the fake captain slowly drifted from the boat.
"You're the only one who's going to choke on seawater. Avdol, say something." Jotaro said, as he gave a thumbs down. "You tried to out-predict me, a fortune teller..." Avdol said.
"... But its ten years too early for you." Polnareff finished for him with a cheeky grin.
