Sai tried really hard to take her own advice, but she was far too nervous to rationalize with herself in that moment, seconds before she would go on stage. She had told the other girls that they had to focus and enjoy themselves in order to give a stellar performance. However, though she had no doubt that they would do well, she worried for herself.

She had intended on meditating before performing, but when they arrived, she was told that she would be going first, as the leader should, so she felt rushed, which messed with her nerves.

Overall, she doubted that she could get through the performance now, not without some hiccups, as her entire mood was thrown off. In her opinion, a musician's mood and mindset in the moment was a very large part of whether the performance was a success.

Spending time with the members of Monsta X, Sai had momentarily forgot that they were supposed to be judging her, and now, she wondered if the missions were a ploy to get the girls to let their guard down. Whatever the reason, while she enjoyed it, ultimately it was giving her more stress.

The stress building up was severely damaging her confidence, and she was beginning to doubt herself, and her chances at stardom. If this is how stressed she got just from trying to debut, could she handle the idol life? She wasn't so sure anymore. But if she quit, it would set everyone else back, and she could never do that to her girls, not after they had gotten so far.

She really wanted to succeed, and while that alone was not enough to succeed, it was very important, as she needed more than just talent to be chosen out of millions. Even now, she doubted that she had as much talent as people said, because in the end, she was just a young, impulsive girl who had moved to a new country just to chase a dream that didn't work out for the majority of people.

Before she could delve deeper into her insecurities, she was ushered on stage.

The lights chased her doubts away, and she took the few seconds she had before the music started to help her get into character. Sai was the insecure Japanese girl, but Yejin, Yejin would be a star.

She went all out in her performance, stomping around the stage like the cocky kid that she embraced as a persona.

When the music stopped, Sai returned, and she stood panting, sweat dripping down her chin - it was hot, and her jacket wasn't doing her any favours.

Dasom pursed her lips for a moment, considering her thoughts, before volunteering to speak first. "You should find your feminine spark, otherwise people might mistake you for a boy."

Sai looked down at the obvious lumps, albeit not the biggest, on her chest, and the soft curve of her waist, resisting the urge to shrug. She would be a damn pretty boy with a body like hers, and she didn't mind being mistaken because of her 'boyish' actions.

"No disrespect, but I think her look is really nice, like a fresh view for girl groups. If these girls are going to be hip hop influenced, she can be the face of the group, she gives off the right vibes for their music."

Jooheon was always surprising her with how he could be a sickeningly cute boy, and then speak like this, reminding Sai that he was a successful, professional artist.

"That's a good point. Like Amber!"

"Moving on, I noticed that you sang a lot more in this one, which is great, as it gives us a chance to better judge your abilities. While it isn't perfect, it's impressive enough, since you're the main rapper. Most importantly, we could all see your passion."

Sai tried really hard to listen to their advice, but her head was spinning, and she was grateful when she finally got to leave. She gave her group thumbs up as they went up one by one, her mind still reeling.
