I stared in disbelief.

I was mystified.

Is this a dream?

"Can I chill here for a bit?"

"S-sure- I-I uh- c-come on in" I stammered as I let my guest in. I closed my door.

She sat on a beanbag near my television. I looked at her.

"What brings you here?" I asked, sitting down on my own beanbag.

"Apocalypse of the damned huh... it's kinda nice to see player two still playing without me" I looked at her. Memories flashed before my eyes.

"Uhm.. y-yeah.." I sat up straight.

"What do you say player two.. let's play?"

"My pleasure, player one"
(Let me just place some boyf riends refs heere...)

I started up the game.

The background music can be heard, and neither of us were talking.

"Choose your player!" The game announced.

She immediately chose player 1.

As expected.

I chose player two.

Level 1: Hallway horror

Probably the easiest, good thing I spent months memorizing the combos.

"Woah!-"

"ZOMBIE!-"

"AAAHH!-"

"NO!!!-"

"UGHH!-"

"YES!!!" we exclaimed.

Level 2: The second floor

It was kind of easy, we managed to surpass the zombies and kill some. Also, we both always had this survival instinct to move when we "dodge" the zombies.

Level 3: The chamber

Oh this level has got to be the scariest. It has these random jump scares and it has this time limit to solve some mysterious questions. It's a puzzle, it's a maze, and the more we even try, each time's another wrong turn.. (let me see who gets this reference 😏)

Level 4: Bobby's Lobby

"Ugh not Bobby.." I heard my player 1 talk. She's always hated him, he would constantly confuse the players.

"Y-yeah, he's the worst- I mean not really the worst because there's still the final boss, haha why am I rambling?" But really.. WHY AM I RAMBLING? ME, THE PRINCE OF THE UNDERREALM, RAMBLING? I usually don't do this. Except.. when I was still with her of course..

"Mhm, focus on the game" she said, focusing on the game. Coming from the girl who usually has a hard time paying attention..

Time passed by, we were already at the ninth level.

"This is it.. the level we never achieved"

"Are you ready?"

"Hell yeah"

Level Nine: The CAFETORIUM

We started smashing the buttons on our consoles, trying to beat the level.

"AAAGGHHH COME ON! GO GO!"

"C-C-C-C'MON C-C-C-C'MON GO GO!"

"Player 1! What do we do?!"

"Find the bad guy-"

"And push him aside!"

"Right! Now do what you're told Player 2!" She stayed focused. Dodging and moving here and there.

I did what I was told.

Minutes passed.

"WE WON!!! HA! IN YOUR FACE BOBBY THE LOBBY GUY! IN YOUR FACES ZOMBIES! IN YOUR FACESSS!!!!" She screamed with joy.

I cheered with her.

I haven't seen her this happy for a long time.

"That was a lot of fun, Star"

"Yeah.. I guess it was, Tom"

Where is she? It's almost dinner.. ugghhh.. she's taking too long.

Marco, calm down, you're overreacting again. Stop acting like you're the girlfriend. Chill.

"Sweetie! Dinner's ready!" I heard my mom.

"Yeah mom! I'll be down in a minute!" I said.

Ugghh Star, why haven't you came back yet.

I went to her mirror to call her mom.

I cleared my throat and said "Call Mom"

"Calling Tom-"

"What?! No! I meant mom! N-not my mom but STAR'S MOM!" I panicked.

It opened up to see Tom playing a video game.

He noticed me.

"Oh it's Marco.. what do you want?" He asked, obviously irritated from my prescence.

"I wasn't going to call you, I was going to call Star's mom" I rolled my eyes at the demon prince.

"Oh really? And in what position are you to do that? You're nothing but just a friend to her. She's my Player 1 and I'm her player 2, we don't have room for a player 3.. thirdwheel" He spoke.

"You don't have the right to say that, you two aren't even dating anymore" I scoffed.

"Seriously? Not even two friends would be too close to go on an orchard together and shoot the breeze cause that's what 'buddies' do. You sure you're just not jealous" he chuckled evilly.

"Tom! What corn nuts flavor do you want?" I heard a muffled female voice. It seemed familiar.

"BARBECUE!" He shouted.

"Who's there with you?" I asked out of curiosity.

"Oh.. a girl" he smirked.

"A.. a girl?"

"Why you jealous that I got a new girlfriend?" He laughed.

"What? No."

"Oh wow.. okay.. I thought you were gay"

"Pfft- maybe you're the one who's gay" I said.

"I got your corn nuts" the girl entered the limelight.

"STAR?! WHERE ARE YOU? WHAT ARE YOU DOING WITH HIM?!" I freaked out.

"Oh hey Marco, I just needed a place to chill in since my mom wanted me out of the castle" Star explained.

"What? Star, that's horrible" Tom got up and made is way to her, trying to hug her.

"Not now Tom" she glared at him.

"Star you have to go home now, it's dinner time!" I told her.

"Marco? Star? Dinner's downstairs where are you?" My mom's foot steps can be heard.

"Omg right! I'm so sorry! I'll be there!" Star said before opening up a portal home.

"Call got disconnected"
