"For the last time Tom, I don't want you back!" Star screamed into her mirror. She hung up and went to her bed and screamed into her pillow.

Marco, Star's best friend heard her yell, and he wanted to see what was up. "Star?" Marco asked when he opened the bedroom door. "What Marco?" Star asked, still irritated from earlier. "Are you okay?" Marco asked.

"No, Tom won't stop bugging me about wanting me back!" Star said. "Oh. Do you wanna talk about it?" Marco asked, doing his best to not be nosy. Star sighed. "Sure. Maybe it will help." Star said, sounding a bit hopeful.

"What has he been saying to you?" Marco asked. "He calls my mirror, and he always wants me to get back together with him, but if I do he might hurt me like last time." Star said. "Hurt you, how?" Marco asked.

"I-I don't like to talk about it." Star said. Warm tears started to leave her eyes. "He didn't?-" Marco started. "N-no, no, nothing like that, he just took his anger out on me, yelling, or hitting me." Star got quiet at the last part, almost to quiet for Marco to hear. "Star, I-uh. Just c'mere." Marco said out stretching his arms.

Star went in to hug Marco. She cried into his shoulder, he tried to make her feel better. Marco patted her back softly, while Star continued to cry into his shoulder. "Star, I won't let him do that again. If he did, then I don't know what I would do." Marco said. Star was still crying. They stayed there, for what was hours. At some point Star quit crying, Marco didn't find, he kept holding her. Then he fell asleep.

"Marco?" Star asked, groggy from tiredness. "Star?" Marco asked in confusion. "I'm so sorry I feel asleep on you." Star said, embarrassed. "It's alright, I don't mind, I was there to make you feel better." Marco said. "Thanks Marco." Star said. "What do you want to do today?" Marco asked. "I don't know, I kinda want to sit down and eat nachoes." Star said. "You know me so well." Marco said. Star laughed.

So they went downstairs ate nachoes, and watched a movie. "Hey Star, do you ever think about getting back with Tom?" Marco asked. "No. Never." Star said. "Good." Marco said. Star sighed. "Nothing against you, but you shouldn't care so much." Star said. "Why would I stop caring so much, I just don't want you getting hurt." Marco said. "Pshh. Safekids." Star said before leaning her head on his shoulder. "Yeah." He said before putting his arm around Star.
