Chapter 6 | Party Time
I'm back! Along with a new name, instead of the old name, it's now called Evil Serenity. I hope you love the new name!
Also, instead of it being a pink quartz on her necklece. It'll now be a black Crystal shapped as wings.
Alrighty, let's get straight into the story!
♡♡♡♡♡
Leon walked me home through the night. I opened the door to my house. I was introduced by the hug and kisses being planted on my cheeks.
"Oh, my dear girl is back!" My mother cried.
I grew surpised. My mother is usually traveling. After two months, she's finally back. I felt her arms wrapped around my body tightly. She then looked up at me, being some inches below.
I smiled, stroking her grey hair. "I missed you too, mother." Her mouth stretched into a smile. She stood before walking to my side, allowing me to put away my stuff.
"So, how was school?"
Then the shaking started, sweat slowly pouring from my head. I thought of the times I fought the monsters, keeping it a secret was painful. "Same old, lame fold." I replied.
"Guess what?" Lillian asked excitedly.
"What?"
"I won't be traveling as much. So then I'll be able to hangout with you more!" Lillian pulled me into a hug. My eyes widen.
Why, why, why, why, why!? I thought.
She then let go, her hands on my shoulders. I took some breaths as my panic lowered. Lillian's long pajama pants was touching the ground. My mother moved my bangs out the way to kiss me on my forehead. Her warmth was soothing, like a bunch of clouds surrounding me. "You need your rest, dear."
I nod. Walking up the stairs and into my room. I flicked on one light and began to get dressed. Finally finished, I laid myself on bed. And went into my deep slumber.
♡♡♡♡♡
My backpack was hanging from my shoulders. I whipped the door open to school, then streached my arms. Yawning as my eyes dropped down a little. Katie was behind her desk, she was cleaning her board. Until she saw me walk in. The teacher waves.
"Hey Marissa. How have you been?"
I shrugged. "Nothing special." A teenager bursted through the door. I almost fell, but regained my balance. I looked back at the teenager, thinking. What the hel-
"I have a party!" He announced. Most teenagers looked his way. Two girls walked to his side.
"When's the party? Who are you inviting?" They asked. The guy stood their proudly.
"My party is a welcoming party. Meaning everyone is welcomed. Isn't that being nice?" They nod. The girls grabbed the envelopes and passed them out.
As I looked down at the note, my heart sinked. "Too bad I can't go." I whined, turning back to Katie. "If anything, they probably have drinking and stuff. My mother doesn't allow that."
Katie placed a hand on my shoulder and bended to my level, smirking. "But who says you can't go if you don't ask?"
"Then I'll be breaking the rules."
"Sometimes, you need to break them."
She was right, in a way. This was going to be my first time going to a actual party with beer and alcohol. Plus, I really wanted to go. "Sure, I'll go."
Katie smiled. "Thats awesome!"
"Will you be going, Katie?" I asked.
She shakes her head. "Nope, I got teacher's work to do." I sigh.
The bell rang as everyone went to their seats, including me.
Class went on like normal.
Lunch time.
I sat at the table where Leon and Ana was sitting. Ana was tapping her finger on the table as Leon was bouncing on his seat. A eyebrow went up.
"What's with the mix emotions?"
Ana quickly explained. "Their's a party going on. As you should know by the screaming kid. Leonardo here is excited while I'm not willing to go."
Leon's eyes turned into a glare. "It's Leon, not to hard to pronounce."
Ana's arms folded. "I'm sorry, was I meant to be offended. The only thing offending me is your face." Leon's teeth grinded together.
They both glared at each other. I sighed. And Ana's bad comeback wasn't the only reason I was sighing. "Please chill you two." I scanned the cafeteria. It felt off. Before I knew it, I zoned out. My eyes focused on the door.
Ana grabbed my shoulder and shakes it hard, snapping me back to reality. "Marissa, Marissa. Liam and I are making a name for the coffee shop. But we can't think of anything." I slowly looked back at my friend.
Leon crossed his arms. "Are you alright?" My brain felt tried. But I shake myself.
"I'm fine." I looked back at Ana. "You said you needed help on finding a name?"
She nods. "Yup."
I told her I would think about it. On a spur moment, the bell rang. We quickly grabbed our things and went out.
~~~~~
I walked down the side walk. Wearing a casual, off shoulder burgundy cocktail dress with strapless heels to match. With some pants and shirt underneath, but I hid them from Ana. "Explain to me why I must wear this?"
Ana chuckled. "If your expecting to get a man, you better dress to impress!"
"I'm not trying to impress no one. The only one in impressing is myself." I flipped my hair. "Because girl my hair is on fleak."
She laughed again. "True." She messed with my hair. Curling it around her finger.
Once we got to the party, I opened the door. Music blasted into my ear before stepping a foot in. The dance floor crowded with a exceeding amount of people.
Step by step we walked in. Ana's eyes glows. "This is awesome!" Ana exclaims. She jogged around. I was about to call her name, until she disappeared into the crowd.
I sigh. "There she goes." I crossed my arms under my breast. Walking around the room, I tried to avoid the dancers.
I walked toward the table where the food was. "Here's my precious." I mumbled with a smirk on my face. The only thing I actually came here for.
I grabbed a plate. "I'm going to try be a healthy." I reached for a apple ad placed it on my plate. As I continue to look around, my plate began to fill. I sat on a table and looked at my food. Pizza with meat along with spaghetti, chocolate ice cream and a large Hershey bar. With the apple on the side. "This is the stuff!"
I shoved the food down my throat with a little causation. Over all the music, I heard a footsteps coming my way. I looked over to see who it was. A man with black hair and red eyes came walking toward me. "I think he has a resting bitch face." I thought.
He took one of his hands out of his pocket and grabbed a piece of my Hershey. I tried to snatch it back but I missed. And down it went the hatch. I pursed my lips as my breating became heavy. I was about to erupt like a volcano.
He quickly grabbed a napkin and spit it out. My eyes widen in shock. "That was utterly disgusting! Are you trying to poison me?"
I clenched my fist into tight balls. "Your the one who ate my food!" I raised my hand and aimed my fist to his face. Easily, his hand blocked my punch.
"Your so freaking weak. It's almost pitiful." He smirked smugly.
I briskly pulled my hand back. "Go to hell." I mumbled.
He tilts his head. "What's hell?" He questioned. I jerk my head back, then looked back at him.
"What do you mean!?" The black-haired teenager smiled.
"You seem like fun. Be my acquaintance."
Damn... straightforward much? I thought before waving my hand. "No thanks, we've just met and I would rather not."
I heard a scream to the left of me. The teenager and I turned our head toward the sound.
Ana! I thought. I ran off without saying a word. The male behind me followed. He jolts past be, I felt the trail of wind he left behind.
"What the hell!?" I yelled. I looked down at the dress. "This freaking dress!" I slowed down as I squished through people to get past.
My eyes spot Ana, I swiftly ran toward her and grabbed her shoulder. She looked at the food in front of her with stars in her eyes. "This gourmet is wonderful! The taste is fantastic." She bubbled.
"Man, it's just a nobody." I turned to him, my teeth clenched.
"Listen, if you don't shut up-" I got cut off by a yell.
"Hey, Marissa!" Turning my head behind me, it was Leon in a red shirt and blue jeans. He ran to my side while smiling.
"Hey Leon." I comment.
The boy's eyes met Leon's. He smiled. "Hello Leonardo! I'm...." He thought for a while, until a lightbulb appeared over his head. "I'm Hasi!" Leon's breathing went a bit heavy.
"Why did you have to think about your name!?" I asked. I sigh and looked at the bar.
Ana slid a drink toward me. "Your welcome."
I grab the cup and drink it, but then quickly spit it out. I wiped my hand on my mouth. "That was disgusting! What was that?" My eyebrows crushed together. Leon's lips locked as he pat me in the back.
"It was alcohol." Hasi replied calmly. "In fact, do you have any extra?"
I spit out extra alcohol. "Why are you so calm!?" My eyesight began to falter, as my heart starts to race.
My cheeks began flustering pink. Leon seems a little pale. I'm turning drunk! I thought.
Ana quickly looked for the water. I felt dizzy. I raised my hands up. "Hey," I said sternly. " How dare you touch my food." I growled. Glaring at the red-eyed boy. "Your a whole lot of filth."
He smirked. "You picking a fight?" Hasi walked up to me. His hands in his pocket.
"Yes I am. Is their a probably or are you being a bitch?" My skin turned as red as a apple.
He cracked his knuckles. "No, your the only bitch here." I clenched my hand.
I turned to Ana. "And you! Why can't you fix your own problems, it's your coffee shop! Why do you need my help!?" I yelled. She only sigh.
"She really needs water."
Leon shivers and backs away from me. Someone then bumbed into him. He trips to the side. But then looks back at the guy. "Hey, you there. Don't leave without a apologize." Leon places a hand on his shoulder. But the guy shrugged it off.
Leon examined the guy and spotted a orb. His orange eyes widen. A phantom! He thought.
Leon grabbed my shoulder and shakes it hard. "Marissa, we need to go! Emergency calls."
I turned to him with angry eyes. "You trying to pick a fight with me!?"
He grabbed me by my wrist and pulls me away. "I'm going to bring her to a safe place," he waved to the two. "See ya!" Leon drags me away through the crowd of people.
Hasi coughs. Ana looked at him. A cup of water slides down to Ana, she grabs it and hands it to Hasi. He looked up at her. "Need some?"
He swipes her away and shakes his head. Hasi places his hand in front of his mouth as he limps away. Ana's knees felt like rubber. Taking her water back and sips it.
~~~~~
Leon tried to make me sit down on the chair. Not many people were around. I stood up, stamping the ground. "I ain't sitting down! I need to give that guy the beating he deserves!"
Leon tugged me hard, causing me to fall on the seat. I look over at him. "What the hell was that fo--" My head turned dizzy. My eyesight began to falter again.
"What's.... going on?" My eyes slowly closed as I fell on something soft.
Leon held me on his back. "I better take her to a safe place. And defeat that phantom quickly." He scanned the room. Thinking to himself. I can't find a safe place here. My power is useless on that. Plus, I can't let the phantom do any damage. His teeth began to clatter. As he scans the area while walking around.
