But her actions were seen as blasphemous, and she was sentenced to death, only to be saved by Duncan Despereax, her future husband. Ever since, she has wandered with her only companion in search of light, still holding the faith of Cinedime in her heart.

Kind, caring, and intelligent, Charlotte loves light and teaching others about its brilliance. She loves Duncan deeply but is often worried about his safety and unconfident in her own abilities. Regardless, she acts as a moral compass to the people she encounters.
