Hello there.

Welcome to my first part of Star Wars: What If? and shows a scene about what if Revan appears & confront Anakin Skywalker in Mortis arc. It was based from a deleted scene in The Clone Wars. I hope you enjoy.

It begins with a black screen and a familiar introduction.

A Long time ago, in the galaxy far, far away....

It show a vast darkness of space before a mysterious voice spoke.

???: Time....

A big bang of explosions was occurs as it scattered around the dark space as it shows a transformations from gases to energies to a numerous constellations of stars & planets.

???: Space...

It shows numerous of spaces, dimensions and galaxies.

???: Reality...

It change to a different timelines, a different places and a different universes.

???: It's more than a linear path.

It shows the Jedi and Sith clashes with their lightsabers.

???: It's a prism of endless possibility, where a single choice can branch out into infinite realities, creating alternate worlds from the ones you know.

It ranging from Qui Gon Jinn & Obi Wan Kenobi against Darth Maul, Master Yoda against Darth Sidious, Obi Wan Kenobi against Anakin Skywalker/Darth Vader and their rematch in a Death Star.

???: The story about the Jedi, the Sith, the Light & Dark Sides of the Force is a legend...

It change to Luke Skywalker against Darth Vader in the Throne Room onboard the Second Death Star.

???: But sometimes, ideas can change with a little touch...

It shows a different galaxies before it shows a different triangular portals along with long way different times & paths.

???: A different stories to tell in your different perspectives...

Finally, it shows numerous alternative scenes, times & universes.

???: Journey to the face of unknown and ponder of questions....of What If...

It change a Title Card.

STAR WARS: WHAT IF

It show a a background of space with stars. Then, a shadow appears walking towards the screen before it show a tall, bald figure with the head was bigger but has glowed eyes.

Watcher: I am the Watcher.

The figure now known as the Watcher uses his power to show a different scenes in a different periods.

Watcher: I observe all transpire you...

The first scene shows Darth Maul appears to Qui Gon Jinn & Obi Wan Kenobi before they ignited their lightsabers for a duel. It change in Geonosis as Obi Wan and Anakin Skywalker facing Count Dooku before him & Master Yoda do their lightsaber duel, Ahsoka Tano and Maul in Mandalore, Obi Wan facing the now fallen Anakin Skywalker in Mustafar and them in a rematch, years later inside the Death Star.

It change to Luke Skywalker and Darth Vader face off in Bespin and their rematch on the Throne Room in the Death Star II.

Watcher: But I do not, cannot, will not interfere.

The scenes that was playing was stopped and vanishes as the Watcher look at the screen(like a 4th Wall Break).

Watcher: There are many people around the galaxy and their lives has change in years but none compared towards a young boy who had a dream to become a greatest pilot in the galaxy turns into one of the most dangerous warriors in the galaxy have ever known. The young boy's name is Anakin Skywalker and he would go on to become the Chosen One and the Dark Lord of the Sith, Darth Vader.

An image shows a young Anakin in Tattoine, change to him as a Jedi Knight in the Clone Wars and ends with him as Darth Vader ignited his crimson red lightsaber as the Stormtroopers behind him.

Watcher: His fate begins in Mortis where the Chosen One face his own path between the light path as a Jedi or a dark path as Dark Lord of the Sith. However, it shows what if Anakin show a different path.

Then, the scene began to change to Mortis as the Watcher continue speaking.

Watcher: There, he will meet a figure from the Past that will decide his fate in the future.

~Somewhere in Mortis~

It show the planet of Mortis where Anakin arrive on a lava-filled place that similar to Mustafar.

Anakin: I am here, Son. Show yourself.

But it wasn't the Son, a figure who is a manifestation of the Dark Side he is meeting.

???: Are you the Chosen One?

Anakin turns around and saw a mysterious hooded figure standing.

Anakin: Who are you and how did you know I am a Chosen One?
???: So the prophecy has come true or is it?

The figure turned around....revealing none other than a former Jedi and Sith of the Old Republic.

Revan

~Cue Darth Revan's Theme~

Revan: At long last, we finally met.

Anakin look at him. He recognized that mask back in the Jedi Archives.

Anakin: I don't know who you are but I recognized that mask.
Revan: I have many names but you can simply called me...Revan.
Anakin: *eyes widened* R-Revan? As in THE Revan? The Jedi turned Sith and then turned Jedi again?
Revan: So you must heard about me? *crosses his arms* I'm impressed.
Anakin: I barely know about you. You led the Jedi during the Mandalorian Wars and then, you turned to the Dark Side and wage a civil war against the Jedi Order you trust.
Revan: True but what people didn't know that the war against Mandalorians and myself turn to the Dark Side were part of his plan.
Anakin: His?
Revan: It was orchestrated and manipulated by the Sith Emperor. And so are you & the war you fought was also orchestrated & manipulated by Sith Lord Darth Sidious.

Anakin felt shiver about the Sith Emperor but he looked disbelief about the current war, the Clone Wars and Darth Sidious.

Anakin: Sidious orchestrated the war?
Revan: You don't know about this? Darth Sidious has been secretly both sides of the war and played the Republic & the Separatist for a long time. He manipulated the Jedi until the day he will strike them down.
Anakin: Strike!? What do you mean strike?!
Revan: I saw the future about the Jedi Temple was burning as the Jedi betrayed and killed by those people they trusted. You will also fall to the Dark Side.
Anakin: You're lying!
Revan: Am I? I'll show you.

Using the mental Force, Revan show Anakin's mind. What Anakin saw was horrified.

He saw Darth Sidious fired his Force Lightning to Master Windu....

He saw himself raising his blue lightsaber towards a scaring Younglings....

He heard Sidious' voice "Execute Order 66." as Clones fired towards the Jedi inside & outside while the Jedi screams to death....

He saw him, attacking Padme and him faced Obi Wan in a duel, a planet(Alderaan) was blow up by a green laser of a space station(Death Star) into pieces....

Anakin: No. No. NOOOOOO!!

As he screams in pain, a large smoke forms into a face of his future version of himself, Darth Vader before he fall on the knees.

Anakin: I...failed.
Revan: You're not. What you saw in the future was NOT set in motion. You can change it before it's too late.
Anakin: H...How?
Revan: In order to bring balance of the Force, you must learn that the Jedi could not. The Dark Side of the Force.

Anakin stands up and looked shocked.

Anakin: The Dark Side? Are you crazy?
Revan: It's the only way to achieve balance.
Anakin: No. I won't go to the Dark Side. The Jedi won't allow this.
Revan: Tsk. Such arrogance and blindness you are. Is that what the Jedi taught you? Have you heard an old Jedi Code saying,"There's an emotion yet peace. There's ignorance yet knowledge. There's passion yet serenity. There's chaos yet harmony. There's death yet the Force." The Jedi you serve never learn a lesson from their ancestors and ignored the Will of the Force by serving the blind & corrupt Republic!
Anakin: The Republic is not corrupt! The Separatists are!
Revan: Hmmmm. The Separatists did the right thing to separate from the Republic because they were tired by their arrogance & corruption, even though I don't like the violent methods against civilians. How come the Republic still serve your leader(refers to Palpatine) in several years before the war happen? Other good senators of the Republic tried to stop the war from happening. Slavery & lawlessness still roaming around and your leader did not do anything! It influenced them! It was the Jedi & the Republic were the ones the started the war, not the Separatists.

Anakin remembered in Geonosis, the event that started the Clone Wars.

Revan: You are different Jedi I've ever met. You've grown attached your former Master, your Padawan and your wife.
Anakin: *cold tone* What do you know about them?
Revan: Because you and I are the same but different persons.

Revan remembered his former Master(Kreia), his friends(HK-47, Jolee Bindo, etc.) and his love of his life(Bastila Shan).

Anakin: I know what you're thinking but I will never ever go to the Dark Side.
Revan: It's the only way to defeat Darth Sidious just like I did against the Sith Emperor but with a cost.
Anakin: What happened?
Revan: I will not tell you. Right now, you will learn the Dark Side of the Force.
Anakin: *anger tone* The Dark Side corrupts!

Revan sigh, knowing that Anakin will seal his fate if he never learns about the Dark Side to achieve balance.

Revan: The Dark Side frees.

Revan uses a powerful Force Push and the Jedi Knight got threw so far on the floor. Anakin gets up and pulls out his blue lightsaber and ignites it.

Revan: So be it, Jedi. I'll show you the true power of the Force.

Revan forcefully pulls out his own lightsaber and ignite the violet blade.

Watcher: Revan is power. He is like you were staring at the heart of the Force....

Anakin roared as he charges him while Revan also charge and the two clashes their sabers in blade lock. The legendary duel between the Chosen One and the Prodigal Knight has began.

~Cue Duel of the Fates~

Both duelists were equally matched with their sabers & skills as they deflected their offensive moves. Anakin use his Form V Shien So as his standard fight stance which he had aggressively offense but can worn out easily towards Revan but the latter was defending himself with his precision fight stance of Form VII Vaapad which surprises the Chosen One. Both were separated the duel for a while.

Anakin: That stance(refers to Vaapad)....how did you do that? Only Master Windu can do that.
Revan: So there's a Jedi Master learn about this? Impressive. But your fighting stance(refers to Form V Shien So) did great for you in aggression but lack of defensive measures can injured you.
Anakin: Well, I have more tricks for you.

Anakin uses his Force Push to Revan but the Prodigal Knight was hit and just standing there and shrug it off like a carpet remove the dust before the two duelists resume the fight. Anakin continue attack him viciously while Revan continue to defend himself. The latter felt Anakin's anger is rising while it going to another blade lock.

Revan: I can felt your anger rising. The Dark Side is already with you. Now release your anger.
Anakin: I will NOT manipulated by you!

This led Anakin gives Revan another round of aggressive attacks which the latter deflected it with his defense before threw a little away from the Chosen One in dodging.

Revan: You have done it. The Dark Side is growing inside of you. You have control it before it consumes you! Only I can teach you the ways of the Dark Side to achieve balance.
Anakin: Shut up!! You don't have to know me everything!

Revan saw a tinted yellow on Anakin's eyes. Surely, he did NOT manipulated to turn Anakin to the Dark Side. He was just testing him.

Revan: Now I know why.
Anakin: What?
Revan: Your former Master, your Padawan and your wife. You have grew attached them so much that the Jedi you serve are trying to detached your emotions away from them. They still believe it will led to the Dark Side. Pain, Anger, Hatred & Suffering is a path of the Dark Side but it also prove how much felt like a human being. How foolish they(Jedi) are. It was their fault that your mother had died.

This snaps Anakin about his late mother.

Anakin: Don't you dare talk about my mother!!
Revan: So it was your mother? It is your pain that your mother had died and then, you turn into anger towards those people who tortured your mother to death. Your hatred made you slaughtered them! Men, women and children like animals! What would happen if your actions can attack your former Master, your Padawan and your wife soon?

Anakin stops as he remembered the day his mother died as his emotions turn into anger that led him to slaughtered them like animals! But when he heard about Obi Wan, Ahsoka & Padme, his anger turns hatred!

Anakin: You...! I'll promise to protect them(Obi Wan, Ahsoka & Padme) from harm! You try to turn me to the Dark Side?!
Revan: No. It is YOU already consume by the Dark Side! Your emotions had run high but you have to control it.
Anakin: *closes his eyes a second before open it and speaks almost his tone sound like Vader* Then you will die!

Anakin viscously charge to Revan and give a more aggressive but powerful attacks. Revan couldn't believe to see a Jedi goes a violent rampage attack while defending himself. He backed away a little before he goes a second option.

Revan: Fine! I'll show you violence.

Revan ignited his second lightsaber which was green before the two clashes again.

(Starts at 4:20 to 5:10. Just imagine Anakin is Vader.)

Despite Anakin's increasing attacks, he was no match to the Prodigal Knight's prowess as Revan disarms his blue lightsaber and pointed it to him.

~End Cue~

Anakin: H-how? How did I lost?
Revan: You have fought well like a true Jedi. But still, you have lacked of your prowess and your instincts. So what will you do now?

Anakin clenches his fist and could not do anything because how strong & powerful Revan was.

Anakin: How can I achieve balance?

Revan did not reply but rather, he turns-off the lightsabers and put it back on his belt which confuse the Chosen One.

Revan: To achieve balance, you have face your inner & personal darkness inside of you such as your anger & emotions. That's what you told from your late Jedi Master earlier, right?

At first, Anakin doesn't know what he is talking until he remembered the moment he refers the late Jedi Master, Qui Gon Jinn.

Anakin: Those words....that the same words Master Qui Gon told me earlier.
Revan: Ah so you did met him?
Anakin: What? I thought he was just a hallucination.
Revan: No. Mortis is a living Force planet that manifestation of the living things. The Daughter, the Son & the Father were manifestation of the Force: Light, Dark & Balance. Even the ghosts of the Force users can also manifesting here. I & your Jedi Master you talked Qui Gon Jinn were also manifesting by the living Force. He did talked to you & your former Master(Obi Wan) just like I did to you.

Anakin couldn't believe what he heard. Qui Gon Jinn DID talked to him & Obi Wan earlier.

Revan: As for your Padawan, she had her own path of her destiny. She will face a series of trials & tribulations and one day, she will either become a Jedi Knight or walk away from you & the Order.
Anakin: Wait what?
Revan: Do not be fear. The Force will be guiding her even she left you & the Order. So are you & your former Master.
Anakin: Why are you telling me this?
Revan: Because this will be a sign of your downfall to the Dark Side without noticing it. Darth Sidious has been watching since you entered the Jedi Temple. He will manipulated you and the Jedi and waited until the day you will consume by the Dark Side & their downfall.

It was that moment that Anakin began realize about the situation. Why is Darth Sidious is waiting for him to fall to the Dark Side?

Anakin: If I learned the Dark Side, will I fall or turn?
Revan: It is your decision. The Dark Side is already within us but you must control & embrace it without corrupted or falling for it. But there was one thing stronger than the Light & Dark.
Anakin: What is it?
Revan: Love.
Anakin: Love?
Revan: It was Love that can save you even in the dark times. Your love of your mother was strained when she died but your love towards your wife, your Padawan and your former Master did save you from falling to the Dark Side. It was the same thing that saved me.

Behind the mask, Revan closes his eyes about he was saved by Bastila Shan and himself saving her from the Dark Side.

Anakin: I'll understand what you're saying. If I learn the Dark Side without corrupting or falling, then I achieved balance.
Revan: What you have said is right. Now go. When you cross here, the Son is waiting for you. He will manipulated you by showing the same thing I show you earlier.
Anakin: The future.
Revan: The Son will give you the knowledge of the Dark Side he already gather but you have control & embrace it without falling or corrupted you both inside & outside.
Anakin: I'll understand. Thank you, Revan.

As Anakin began to walk towards the place where the Son is, Revan wasn't finished yet.

Revan: Oh wait.
Anakin: *stops walking* What is it?
Revan: I give you one last lesson from me. Strength without Wisdom is nothing. Remember those words in your mind.
Anakin: I will.
Revan: May the Force be with you always, Chosen One.

And so, Anakin walk away as Revan watches him far away.

It change to several scenes about the events of Mortis.

The Son gives Anakin a vision of his dark future the same one given from Revan but instead of falling for it, he control it. Upon this, Anakin wants him to help and the Son smirked as he give his knowledge to the Dark Side to the Chosen One. Little did he know that Anakin did what Revan told him as he control & embrace the knowledge without falling or corrupted it.

When Obi Wan arrive and saw a Dark version of Anakin but unknown to him & the Son, Anakin pretended to be follower of the Son.

It ends with the Son's death in the temple as the Father urged the three heroes to leave the Temple but as they left, he noticed Anakin is now different person he was before. He felt the Light & Dark Side has balance on his own. He sees a ghostly presence of Revan standing on the temple as the latter disappears. The Father closes his eyes and had a small smile on his face, knowing what fate of the Chosen One he went as the light surrounds the heroes and planet.

The next thing, Anakin, Obi Wan and Ahsoka were back on the transport just as Captain Rex' words was heard on the comms. As they flied back to their ship, Anakin close his eyes Ashe remembered what Revan said. There's some other things he need to do to save not just Padme, Obi Wan & Ahsoka but to other people from Sidious' tyranny. He need to achieve balance to the Force by learning the Dark Side without falling or corrupted it. He knew that one day, he will face Darth Sidious in the future.

Anakin: I have to face my darkness inside to control it and bring balance to the Force. I have to prove the Jedi and Sidious that I am...the Chosen One.

Anakin open his eyes in resolute, found his new destiny as the transport ship heads back to the Star Destroyer.

The scene change back to the Watcher in the cosmos surrounded the figure.

Watcher: And so, the young Skywalker and others left Mortis for good. The Chosen One will go to the different path to prove everyone that he was the Chosen One. There's more stories to come.
