Anakin didn't fall too far. He managed to land on a platform on his back a few meters down and he groaned in pain as he sat up. There was a shard of glass sticking out of his leg and he grabbed it, yanking it out. He yelped in pain and held his leg, rolling onto his side.

Anakin climbed to his feet but fell onto one knee. God damnit! His leg hurt too much and that shard of glass probably knicked a nerve because his leg was numb. Anakin pushed himself up, inhaling deep breaths as he began to walk forward.

It's just pain. It's only in my head, Anakin thought. It's only in my head.

Anakin began to move faster with a slight limp and he walked over to a wall. He had to get back into the temple. The kids..he had to save the children. He had to honor Padmè's last words, her last request.

Anakin began to scale the wall, taking it one step at a time. His leg was beginning to hurt again and he could feel it now but he pushed himself past the pain and continued to climb. He would not fail Padmè. He would not fail those children.

Five minutes. Five minutes is how long it took Anakin to reach part of the temple that he could climb into. When Anakin was inside the temple again he limped his way towards the childrens training room and pushed through the doors. To say he was relieved to find them alive would be an understatement.

One of the children, Harvey rushed over to Anakin as he shut the door behind him and fell against the wall. Anakin looked up at him and glanced around at all of the children in the room.

"What's going on?!" Harvey demanded, helping Anakin to his feet.

"We've been betrayed. I have to get you guys out of here." Anakin told them.

Another kid, who's name was Ricky stood up and said, "Who is it Anakin?"

"I don't have time to explain but Padmè wanted me to get you out of here and that's what I'm gonna do." Anakin heard droid footsteps out side the door including Obi Wan's voice and he turned to the kids. "Hide!" He hissed.

The children didn't question him and hid in the back room, leaving Anakin to face Obi Wan as the door flew open. Anakin stepped back and stared at Obi Wan as he entered the room. They faced each other for sevral moments in silence before Obi Wan broke it.

"Where are the children Anakin?" Obi Wan demanded.

"Gone." Anakin said bluntly. "They're long gone and you won't hurt anyone else."

Obi Wan stepped forward and Anakin stepped back, pulling his lightsaber and igniting it. Obi Wan didn't flinch as he was staring at his leg. His eyes traveled up to Anakin's face.

"You're hurt."

"Like you care!" Anakin hissed. "You're a traitor and you killed the jedi in the temple including Padmè."

"I did what was neccesary." Obi Wan said coldy.

Anakin glared at him in anger and hatred but deep down Anakin felt sadness that his master was doing this. "Then I have to do what's necessary to stop you."

Obi Wan pulled his lightsaber, which was now blood red, a sign that he was the apprentice of a Sith Lord. Anakin raised his own lightsaber and stared at Obi Wan, watching him. Obi Wan struck first and Anakin blocked. He really wished that the kids wouldn't have to see him fight Obi Wan.

Obi attacked again and Anakin deflected it. He was trying not to balance all of his weight on his left leg but it was becoming impossible when he was blocking and attacking Obi Wan. Anakin tripped over a chair, momentarily losing his balance and Obi Wan took his chance and disarmed him. He got behind Anakin and grabbed him from behind, jerking his arms behind his back.

Anakin kicked off the wall in front of him, sending them flying backwards into a table. The table broke under the weight and Anakin rolled off of Obi Wan, using the Force to bring his lightsaber back. While Obi Wan was still dazed he destroyed all of the droids before telling the few kids to come out and run.

Harvey and Ricky ran out of the back room, following Anakin as he ran ahead back towards the way he had came. Anakin glanced around and saw the Twilight down on the platform below. Ace, Alia, Mekhi, Jett, Aviana, Rex, Fives and Kix were all down there waiting for them.

Shouting from down the hall made Anakin turn to the children behind him. "I need you guys to Force jump down there."

Harvey stared at Anakin. "What about you?!"

"Don't worry about me Harvey. I'll be fine. I'm just going to hold them off as long as I can and then I'll follow." Anakin said ruffling the kids hair.

Harvey wrapped his arms around him and Anakin was slightly surprised. "Don't die." The eight year-old told him and jumped down to the platform.

Anakin spun around, blocking a swing from Obi Wan's lightsaber. He knew the kids were escaping and he was relieved. Obi Wan kicked Anakin in the leg, making him cry out and fall onto his back. It didn't take a genius to know that he might die. Obi Wan drove his saber towards Anakin's chest but stopped at the last second, the red blade hovering just a centimeter above his chest cavity.

Anakin stared up at Obi Wan, his face filled with fear. As he looked up at the man above him, he saw conflicting anger and remorse and regret in his eyes. Obi Wan didn't want to kill him Anakin realized. As his master backed away from him, he slowly climbed to his feet using the Force to grab his saber.

"Grab the boy and bring him with us." Obi Wan said in a flat cold tone.

Anakin looked from Obi Wan, to the three droids to the seven clones Obi had brought with him and shook his head. He spun back around and ran full force down the hallway and dove out of the window, Force jumping down to the platform below. Anakin landed awkwardly on his feet and turned his head.

Obi Wan was standing there in the window watching him. Anakin smirked and flipped him off before sprinting aboard the Twilight, where he was tackled by Ace who wrapped his arms around him.

"I thought I lost you." Ace said in his ear.

Anakin smiled. "Well you didn't." He turned to the cockpit. "Fives, get us the hell out of here."

"You got it general."
