The first thing that registered in his brain was confusion. The second was feeling. He felt that he was lying on something soft--a bed. Why he was lying in a bed he had no idea. Anakin's eyes fluttered open and he found himself staring up at a plain white cieling. His vision was blurry so he blinked a few times to clear it.

Anakin sat up and looked around the room that he realized was a medical room. He didn't remember much of anything other than the mission he had gone on to Takodana with Obi Wan and the battle....

Obi Wan!

Anakin threw his legs over the side of the bed and stood up, which turned out to be a bad idea because his head started to spin. Anakin swayed and caught himself on the edge of the bed. Stumbling he made his way to the door, using the wall for support. Just as he reached it, the doors slid open revealing Ace and Obi Wan.

"Anakin what are you doing out of bed?!" Ace exclaimed.

"You're alive." Anakin whispered. Obi Wan nodded and then grabbed Anakin, helping him back over to the bed since his legs had stopped working on their own. "I-I thought you were dead. I-I...I can't--"

"Don't push yourself to remember Anakin." Obi Wan told him as he pulled the blankets over him. "You need to rest."

Anakin nodded slightly and his eyes traveled over to Ace, a small smile forming on his lips. And then he was out like a light.

The next time Anakin woke up, he wasn't alone. Ace was sitting in a chair at his bedside, soundlessly asleep with his head tilted back and light snores coming from his mouth. It made Anakin wonder how long he'd been in the medical center and how much sleep Ace had gotten.

Anakin felt better somewhat but he was still really tired. He felt weaker than he'd ever been before and yet....he felt stronger. He just didn't know why. Anakin climbed out of the bed and walked around the bed to where Ace was sitting, shaking him awake.

Ace opened his eyes and raised his head. His brown eyes fell on him and he said, "Hey Ani. How're you feeling?"

"Better." Anakin told him. "What happened to me on Takodana?" Ace frowns, and Anakin can tell he's not sure how to explain. Or if he should tell him. "It's okay. I can handle it."

Ace sighs and runs a hand over his face before finally saying, "You...after you thought Obi Wan was dead, you fought that Sith warrior Traya and then you just....you started screaming and clutching your head and chest. Traya had grabbed you and began to drag you away but by then you stopped screaming and then everything, every droid and every machine in sight was just.....destroyed. But Traya....she disintergrated." Ace paused. "It was like....the Force just exploded into the atmosphere."

"What happened to me?" Anakin pressed.

"You passed out. When we couldn't wake you up...I got so worried." Ace hesitated. "You were out for a week."

Anakin didn't know how to respond to that so he remained silent, trying to process what Ace had told him. He felt different....almost lighter than he ever did before. Anakin became aware of Ace staring at him and he raised an eyebrow.

"What?"

Ace continued to stare but said, "Maybe you should put some clothes on...."

Anakin glanced down at himself and for the first time since he woke up, he noticed that he was only in his sleep attire...and that was a pair of his boxers and no shirt. Anakin's face turned red as he looked back up at Ace, who was smirking at him and he got a fluttery feeling in the pit of his stomach. Anakin cleared his throat nervously and tried not to look embarrassed.

"Oh...can I get, um...some privacy?" Anakin asked him.

Something dark flashed in Ace's eyes but he smiled and stood up. As he made his way to the door, he said something over his shoulder. "You shouldn't be embarrassed, Ani. By the way...nice body."

And then he was gone, leaving Anakin flustered and blushing madly. God what was Ace trying to do? As he got dressed Anakin wondered if he should question Ace about that but decided against it. He was sure Ace meant nothing by it.

Anakin grabbed his lightsaber off of the bedside table and walked out into the hallway, where Ace was leaning against the wall with his arms crossed waiting for him. When Ace looked up at him Anakin couldn't help the blush that colored his cheeks. He glanced away from him before Ace could see but he knew it was too late.

"The jedi council wants to see you in the training area." Ace told him.

"Why?" Anakin wonders and Ace just shrugs.

"Don't know. They didn't say."

Anakin nods and follows Ace towards the training grounds. It had to be important if the jedi council wanted to see him. Especially on the training grounds. They probably wanted to see him train or see if he was fit to be sent on another mission. Anakin hoped it was the latter because he wasn't so sure he was ready for another mission yet. He was barely recovered from whatever happened to him on the last one.

Anakin pushed open the doors leading to the training grounds and walked inside, his eyes immediately landing on Obi Wan. His master looked well and it barely looked like he had a scratch on him. Other than the bandaged shoulder of course. Mace Windu, Yoda, Senator Palpatine and Senator Amidala were all waiting for him to show up. Anakin was surprised when he saw Jett and Mekhi standing beside the senator while Aviana stood by her master.

"Master." Anakin greeted Obi Wan and turned towards the council. "What is it that you wanted to see me in here for?"

"We were told what happened on Takodana when you faced off against Traya." Windu told him. "We want to see exactly what you did."

Anakin blanched at the words Windu had just said. They wanted to see him do....whatever it was he did on Takodana? Were they crazy?! If they knew what happened on that planet, why did they want him to do it again? And here of all places. He wasn't even sure he could do it again.

"What makes you guys so sure I can do it again?" Anakin questioned calmly even though inside his brain he was panicking. He really didn't want to but he knew they weren't giving him a choice.

"We don't. Which is why we want to see if you can do it once more." Senator Palpatine said.

Anakin sighed and glanced at his master, who gave him a small nod and he turned to the open space in front of him. There was a training droid on the other side of the room. Anakin shook his limbs loose and took a deep breath before focusing his full attention on the droid, which started to say things like 'this is not good' and 'oh my'.

Anakin felt the Force rise up inside of him stronger than ever and surge out of his being, heading right for the droid. But it didn't just destroy the droid, it destroyed anything mech-anical inside the room and made the training room shake and shudder violently, creating cracks in the cieling and the walls.

Anakin stared at the mess he created with wide eyes. He couldn't believe that just happened. And then the room started spinning; his legs slipped out from underneath him as he fell to the floor.

"Anakin! Anakin can you hear me?!"

Anakin heard someone shouting and his eyes fluttered open. He found himself staring into deep dark brown eyes and he really liked that Ace was the first thing he saw. They stared at each other for at least a minute before Anakin pushed himself up into a sitting position and looked around. He was still on the floor of the training area with everyone standing around him.

Anakin scratched the back of his head. "I fainted, didn't I?" He said embarrassed.

"The Force is very strong in you, I sense. Newfound abilities, you have." Master Yoda says mysteriously. "But a part of the prophesy, we missed."

Anakin frowns at him. "What do you mean a part of the prophesy is missing? And newfound abilities?"

"Slow down Anakin." Obi Wan chided.

"But master--" Anakin started. One look from Obi Wan and he snapped his mouth shut. However that did not stop him from pouting like a child and crossing his arms. Ace and Mekhi were staring at him with amused expressions but he ignored them both.

Obi Wan turned to Master Yoda and said exactly what Anakin was thinking. "Exactly what part of the prophesy is missing?"

Master Yoda looked at everyone before setting his gaze on Anakin. "The most dangerous part, it is. Life or death, it could mean."

Anakin felt all eyes on him as his heart began to beat faster. Life or death? Why couldn't he just have a normal day for once?

"Exactly what is the prophesy?" Jett demanded.

"Follow me." Windu told them. "We can't talk here."
