Chapter Two- Revelation

A new Sith arises! Kidnapped from his home planet, Slade Wayne is forced to learn the ways of the dark side by Darth Sidious and Count Dooku. But the young boy never forgets his promise to remain within the light. He manages to hide to the goodness within himself and plans to embrace the light side when the time is right. Meanwhile on Corousant, Anakin Skywalker and Obi-Wan Kenobi have informed the Jedi Council of the events on Yavin. Master Yoda sends Anakin to inform Ahsoka of the endeuver, while the Jedi focus on coming up with a plan to save Slade.

Corousant; Anakin's POV

I arrived at the Jedi Temple, and my master was waiting for me at the landing bay.

"You made it just in time, Anakin." He said.

"Yes, master. I'm surprised at how strong Slade is. But I still can't help thinking that Master Wayne is right." I replied.

Obi-Wan put a firm hand on my shoulder.

"I know how you feel. I can't deny that there's a good chance that Bruce is right about his son. For now, we must inform the Jedi Council." He said.

We both went to the Council chambers and prepared for a meeting.

"I sense conflict within you, young Skywalker." Mace Windu said.

"Yes, master Windu. I know that romantic relationships are against the code of the Jedi. But I can't shake the feeling that master Wayne could be right. Love may very well be the only thing that can save Slade from corruption. I have a recording of the event that happened on Yavin." I replied.

I showed them the recording and the Council was surprised to see Slade fighting Ventress.

"He certainly is a good fighter. His parents taught him well." Master Luminara said.

"Indeed. And I sense that he can harness power from both sides of the Force. But my feelings tell me that his connection with the Force is unbalanced. But I can't understand why." Master Plo Koon replied.

Then the recording came to the time when Master Wayne told Slade that love can set him free. Master Yoda shook his head.

"Never thought I'd say it, I did. But right about Slade, master Wayne is. Love, he needs. Save him, it can." He said.

"Master Yoda, how can we be sure that love won't turn Slade to the dark side?" Mace asked.

"Know for certain of that, I do not. Say that there is no try, I do. But always a first time there is. And for the first time ever: try, we must. Help Slade balance the Force within himself, we can." Yoda answered.

"Yes master Yoda. I overheard Bruce and Selina's conversation before Ventress arrived. He said that you and master Windu can help Slade balance the light and darkness within him. Bruce also said that Obi-Wan would be a suitable master for him. Master Kenobi can help Slade restrain his anger. In fact, with the proper training, Slade may be able to use his anger against the Separatists without letting go of the light." I said.

"I never thought I'd say this, but Bruce is right. Master Yoda and I may be the only ones capable of helping Slade balance the Force within himself. And padawan Tano may be the only one who can save him. Perhaps love could give him the strength to resist the dark side." Master Windu replied.

"I'll go ahead and inform Ahsoka. She needs to know of this." I said.

"Go to her, young Skywalker. Know of Slade, she must. Help him, padawan Tano can." Master Yoda replied.

"Thanks master." I said, bowing with respect.

"We'll try to locate Slade, so that we'll know where to send Ahsoka. But don't worry. She won't go alone. Barriss and master Faye will go with her. Being the wisest among the Jedi, Master Faye can calm Slade down so that he knows that we wanna help him. For if Ahsoka goes to Slade's base alone, he might mistake her for a threat." Obi-Wan replied.

"Thanks master. I shall leave at once." I said.

"May the force be with you, young Skywalker." Master Windu replied.

(Meanwhile, on Dathomir)

Slade's POV

I was busy designing my lightsabers, when someone walked in and broke my concentration.

"Greetings, Starkiller." A hoarse voice said.

I turned around to see a cyborg with arms that could split into two pairs of limbs.

It was Grievous.

"General Grievous. Didn't expect to see you." I replied.

"I was sent to inform you that I'm one of your combat instructors. My job is to train you in the arts of lightsaber combat. Dooku has the same job. And whenever one of us is on a mission, Ventress will be in charge of your training." Grievous said.

I glared at him and my eyes were so narrow, it felt like they were threatening to shoot lasers and melt Grievous into nothing.

"Tell me. When did it become acceptable to interrupt me from building my lightsabers, UNANNOUNCED!?" I asked angrily, as I shot my left arm forward and used the Force to pin Grievous against the wall.

"Stand down, Slade." Said another voice.

I looked to the right and saw an old man with a brown cape and a curved lightsaber hilt attached to his belt.

"Dooku. I should've known you would send your little puppet to disturb me. As you can see, I was busy constructing my lightsabers when you two arrived." I said firmly, as lightning began to crackle in my right hand.

"This force lightning is also much more powerful than yours. Now, back down." I continued, as I shot lightning towards the Count.

He quickly drew his lightsaber and managed to block the attack. But I willingly stopped using my lightning, for I merely wanted to warn the Count that I don't tolerate disturbances when I'm focused on either meditation or even the construction of my lightsabers.

"You'd best be careful, young one. My master does not tolerate betrayal. He kills all traitors." Dooku said.

"That was only a taste of my power. If I demonstrated my full power, both of you would be dead by now. So consider that as a warning. Any Separatist who disturbs me, will be terminated, including Darth Sidious. And no one touches Skywalker's padawan but me. Anyone who dares to lay a hand on her, dies." I hissed, as I released Grievous.

"Noted. Come Grievous. We mustn't disturb him." The Count said, as he left with Grievous by his side.

The door to my room closed, but the Force allowed me to hear what they're saying.

"I have never seen such power. From what I've heard, Slade is powerful enough to wipe out the Separatists with little to no effort. And if this is true, then he's too dangerous to be kept alive." Grievous said.

"He is indeed powerful, but my master and I were able to manipulate him into believing that the Jedi are responsible for the murder of his family." Dooku replied.

"And are they?" Grievous asked.

"No. We are. I ordered Ventress to kill anyone that stood in her way when I sent her to capture Slade. He warned Ventress that we would pay for the murder of his family. And based on what I just witnessed, he wasn't joking. In fact, I would say that Slade is much smarter than he looks, which means that he knows that we're the ones who killed his parents. He must have a hidden trait or perhaps a secret power that grants him unnaturally high amounts of intelligence. So we must be careful around him. If that lightning was only a taste of his power, he can easily destroy us all with very little effort. Not even my master would stand a chance against him." Dooku explained.

"You got that right, Count. The Separatists are gonna pay for what they did. And I will destroy anyone who stands in my way." I snarled with a sneer, before returning to the construction of my lightsabers.
