After dinner, the five clones decided to accompany young Zeporah back to her room. Wolffe and Cody were upfront with Zeporah seated on Cody's shoulder, gently gripping onto his hair. Fox and Bly trailed their back, carrying some of the padawan's food that she packed for the morning after, while Rex accompanied Taala, tailing the back.
"I'm, glad you found her when you did." Taala broke the pleasant silence between the two, fiddling with her hands. "Usually, I'm there to keep her company but I had a meeting to attend, so.."
Rex noticed her nervousness. "..so she had to be on her own?" Taala nodded and sighed.
"Zeporah, she's an unusual girl but has the most gentle soul." She didn't need to explain herself to Rex, he already knew that when he encountered Zeporah. Taala didn't think that explaining the situation was a necessity, she felt like it was the right thing to do. "People don't get to know her, the real her. It's why she doesn't have friends."
The visor of his helmet didn't show Taala that Rex's eyes were on her the entire time, examining Taala's own eyes as they framed every worry she had for her padawan. He could tell that the master-padawan duo is close to each other. Rex's helmet tilted slightly towards Taala, telling her that she had his attention.
Smiling fondly at her padawan upon the clone's shoulders, she thanked Rex and for him and his brothers standing up for Zeporah when no one else did. Hands reached up to Rex's helmet and he removed it, revealing to Taala his sharp and defined features.
The hissing of his helmet being removed brought Taala to look at him and when the bucket came off she couldn't help but get caught into his brown eyes, the sharp jaw, not to mention his sweet smile and-
"Erm General? Everything alright?"
"Hmm? Oh. OH, yes. Everything is alright." Taala gushed, turning away from him, a light blush dusted her green skin, not too bright so Rex didn't notice it. He chuckled anyways at her surprise.
Zeporah was gently placed on the floor, she has thanked Wolffe for her perch. The men gathered around the room door watching contently as the young Jedi blabbered about her day and how she liked it.
Taala opened the door to her's and Zeporah's shared room, yes, the two shared rooms so Taala would be able to keep her padawan company. The boys walked in, invited by the general, adding to the padawans glee.
Jumping on the couch, Zeporah patted the spot next to her. Out of the five, Rex joined her first, while Bly and Fox laid the packed food onto the kitchen counter, Cody handed over Zeporah's.. 'balalaika' he remembered, and assortments of art supplies to Taala.
"Happy kid eh?" Wolffe eyed Zeporah curled on the couch and turning on the holo-net. "Yeah.." Rex agreed. "According to the general she never had friends before, other than the general herself, that is."
After a few minutes of the other three clones helping Taala arrange the food in the fridge, they joined the others in the hall. There they saw the sweet moment of Zeporah sandwiched between Wolffe and Rex.
Taala noticed Zeporah yawn. "Well, I hate to break up the cuddle session but you should get some rest Ze."
The padawan looked to the time, 2300 hours. Zeporah pouted but didn't disagree. "Sure master."
The clones began to gather and headed towards the doorway only to be stopped by Zeporah's tiny voice, asking them to wait. The boys turned, Zeporah nervously glanced to Taala. She nodded as if to tell her 'go ahead'. Zeporah gulped and neared the men.
"I had fun today. A lot actually, well, more than usual. I just want to say, thank you and I hope we get to meet each other again, and thanks for being my friends today."
Taala felt the Force shift around her. It seemed that Zeporah had managed to create something she hadn't realized, which only made Taala all the more supportive of her young friend.
"Who said we're just friends today?" Fox smirked playfully. "You know, the five of us are currently on leave and will be around for two months on Corry, so, we'd like to know if you would want to, I don't know, hang out with us?"
Truth be told, on the way to the mess, neither of the boys wanted to admit that this young Jedi had managed to charm her way into their hearts. They felt peaceful around her and the warmth in her laughter was medicine to their somewhat scared souls.
"R-Really? You want to be friends with me?" Taala giggled as Zeporah did a double take.
"What do you say, kid? Would you allow us the honour to be your friends?"
Without thinking the girl agreed. "Yes!"
---
Soft chatter broke Zeporah's sleep. Groaning she curled herself more into the blankets. Finally, she decided to check on the commotion.
There in the hall, we're her five friends. Bly noticed her first. "Morning, commander!" He greeted cheerfully.
Still, in her glazed with sleepiness, Zeporah gave a lopsided smile waving over. She found Taala in the kitchen, hoisted herself onto a stood and dropped her body on the kitchen island. "Morning sunshine. It's cereal for breakfast?"
Zeporah hummed, approving her breakfast choice. The clones soon joined the two for breakfast, only after Taala and Zeporah invited them and nearly begged them to join.
The boys, as usual, were blown away and complimented Taala's cooking, she insisted it as nothing. Though, a certain Captain from the 501st managed to make her blush just a hint when he complimented her a little later.
The first plan of the day was training. Taala and Zeporah led the group to a secluded training ground. After the clones were settled, Taala began to run through the basic of lightsaber training with her padawan. The mirialan Jedi and her padawan began to have a light sparring session.
Although quiet and lonely, Zeporah used the emptiness of her time to practice with her lightsaber. She told the boys about her dream of becoming a great lightsaber duelist. Judging by how she wielded her double-bladed saber, they knew she'd make that dream a reality.
By late morning, Zeporah's training ended. Now, the seven sat under the tree in the temple gardens, the same three where the seven met. Among themselves, they exchanged pleasant stories and experiences.
"What's with those glances?" Bly lowered his voice to a whisper and question the general. The boys didn't take long to realize that the general had been receiving rough looks by some Jedi who passed the gardens. It didn't sit well with them.
Taala sighed "Don't worry. It's quite the norm for me."
"How so?" Rex asked.
"Well, Master Taala had the same problems as I did when she was younger."
Smiling at her padawan, she explained. The boys soon found out that this particular Jedi was not the typical Force user. She joined the academy at a young age, like all other Jedi, but she was curious and it often got her into trouble. She was deemed troublesome by her first master. He said that Taala showed a great interest in not just the light side of the Force, but it's counterpart as well.
In short he didn't feel comfortable teaching her and soon she was passed to another master, then to another and the cycle went on. When she tried to make friends with the other padawans, she'd be pushed away because they thought of her curiosity as dangerous and feared she may turn Sith, due to her interest in both the light and the dark.
The Jedi in the council had warned her peers not to bully her, but that didn't mean she made friends. They avoided her and she avoided them, they would not talk to her even if she attempted to make conversations. It made for a lot of uncomfortable group projects. Eventually, she became used to it and she began to see the Force not as light and dark, but both.
However, after graduating and becoming a knight and general, she did make a few open-minded friends. One of which are the generals of Cody and Rex. She had yet to be assigned to her own battalion.

Lunch time soon came, they were figuring out what to eat. Fox's comm began to beep, a reminder of sorts. Eyes blowing wide open with shock he grimaced.
"What's wrong Fox?"
The commander turned to Zeporah. "I just remembered a lunch meeting."
"With who?"
Fox took a good moment to look at Zeporah, then remembered the person he was supposed to meet. "I think I have an idea. Come with me."
---
The group of seven walked to a balcony overlooking the city of Coruscant.
"This, friend of mine, she's a little shy, but very friendly once you get to know her."
"She?" Zeporah slowed, Fox heard her shaky voice. 'Right, she hasn't made friends other than us' he thought. "Hey, don't worry. I've known her for some time. She's a good person and in many ways, she's just like you."
That didn't really calm the padawan so the commander rested his hand on her shoulder. "We'll be there with you." Then, she finally calmed, trusting her companion.
Fox stopped, standing in the middle of the balcony where a picnic had been laid out. "Hey feathers, I'm here." The shock trooper waited for a while, turning to his brothers giving them a shy wave. "Feathers hurry up! We have some company!"
The wind picked up as if suddenly stired. A shadow darted across the balcony, only momentarily shourding the others in a shadow. Looking up, Taala saw a figure fly by, dragging along a long tail. Glassy purple colours rained from the figure, a result of the sunlight refracting of the creatures delicate feathers.
The figure circled above them, like an eagle eyeing its prey, then it angled it's body and began to gravitate towards the Fox and landed gracefully by them, their powerful wings spreading out to balance them and keep them from falling over, deliver one last powerful blast of wind.
"Mr.Fox! You're here!" The creature, humanoid, began to make their way towards the group. The humanoid was no taller than Zeporah, cept for a few interesting traits.
Fox grimaced when the humanoid girl called him mister, but shrugged it off. "General, commander, guys. This is Starry."
Said Starry was a unique manner of creature to say the least. She was covered in a light grey coat of fine fur, she had cat like ears that were poking out of her short copper coloured hair, a long fluffy tail that curled at the end into two rings when she stood, also having two gold bells wrapped at the end of her tail with a pink wrap.
She had an intrecately decorated bow hanging over her shoulder, finely done up with carved floral like decorations and blue accents. Her quiver rested on her back as well.
Some speherical objects hung over her torso on a belt, carrying sparkly fluid inside that flowed around like a trapped nebula in a glassy cage. Most notable though, were her wings. More like double wings, for she had two pairs. Each pair lined with a row of purple feathers that stood out from the rest of the grey.
Zeporah leaned towards Taala whispering a question "Uhm, master, that's a....?" Taala only shook her head discretely. "I, actually don't know"
The clones and Jedi quickly learned that the humanoid girl is extroverted when she stepped up to introduce herself. "Hello there! Nice to meet you."
"Starry here is a shape-shifter. The Guard stumbled upon her while chasing some low-life in Coruscant's lower levels. Feathers here agreed to help us to track em' down."
Starry puffed her chest out with pride. "Yep! They would be in pieces without me."
"I don't want to be too forward, but, I have never stumbled on such a being as you. I am Taala by the way."
The shape-shifter smiled and shook the general's extended hand. The clones introduced themselves after Taala did. All in all, Starry was very expecting. "No worries, Master Jedi. My people are a rarity. I'll you all about them if you'd like." The Jedi nodded thankfully, then Starry's eyes were drawn to a smaller figure beside the Jedi.
Since all young ones have a curious mind, especially when coming to discovering another one of them, Starry was drawn towards Zeporah.
"Woah. I hardly ever see any other kids here other than myself. What's your name?"
Zeporah peeked from behind Taala. "I'm Zeporah." She spoke nervously.
The young shape shifter could sense that Zeporah was a little shy, so she tried to keep her excitement under wraps for a while, not wanting to scare her newly acquainted friend.
"Come on, join us for lunch." Starry reached down to take Zeporah's hand and began to pull her towards the picnic. Zeporah stopped for a moment to look at the clones and her master, not separating her hand from Starry's.
Taala nodded. "Go ahead kid. We're right behind you." Rex offered some encouragement and smiled.
With that, Zeporah allowed herself to be lead by Starry and they both joined Fox on the picnic mat, the others trailed behind.
The adult allowed the two girls to catch up, expect for a few questions directed to Starry ever now and then. Starry immediately began to converse with Zeporah, not minding the padawan's quiet nature. She figured she was shy and gave her time to get used to her company.
While the clones and general ate, Zeporah slowly began to open up, finding small things that Starry and her shared in common.
Starry continued to share facts about herself, like her love for archery and brewing potions that have very useful uses such as tracking. Zeporah found herself smiling, enjoying the shape-shifters company.
After lunch, Starry asked for Zeporah to join her exploring the city.
"How are we going to get down there?"
The shape shifter smiled slyly. "We fly!"
Zeporah didn't know it then, but she finally managed to find true friends who stick by herside for a long time to come.
